I'm gonna get some hate for this but here It goes;

Does anyone feels like that the whole rhetoric that some dickbabs shippers try to push that Dick may date Starfire but at the end of he'll always go back to babs has some racist undertones? Like, it's giving that "Oh honey, let Richard have his fun with that exotic woman, i just know that when he's ready to settle down he's going to choose you" racist bullshit and i really don't like that. Also besides that obviously being very offensive towards Starfire (bc y'all are treating her as some type of sexual entertainment that's supposed to amuse Dick until he's ready for something serious) do y'all also know that's offensive towards Babs, right? Like, y'all are treating her as if she's some teenage girl watching as her childhood crush dates the head cheerleader instead of the grown ass woman she is, like, she has better things to do than sit around listening to Taylor Swift's "you belong with me" while dreaming abt the day Dick Grayson decides to give her a chance

( What is Batgirl's relationship with Starfire ? ) this crap was made by bat writers because they are bitter and jealous . Barbara wasn't his childhood sweetheart . she was created in the 60s but didn't have any meaningful romantic moment with him until the 90s . she was introduced as a librarian in 1967 when dick was in high school . she was a congresswoman when he was in college

they decided to make them a couple in the 90s to give her more roots and importance in the batfam . the most important things in his life happened in the titans , they wanted him to be a full bat character . They want him to date a bat to stay close to batman and Gotham . they want the most important people in his life to be bat characters . Nightwing was created in the new teen titans . Starfire was his love interest for 14 years in comics . from 1980 to 1994 .

they met in 1980 , started dating in 1982 , moved in together 1986 and got engaged in 1993 and broke up in 1994 . The bat writers don't want an alien titan in Gotham .

Starfire is a titans character and Barbara is bat character . the only thing they have in common is dick Grayson . the only time they met was a retcon made to diminish and degrade kory it was a retcon published in nightwing annual 2 in nightwing series (1996) .

This retcon one of many retcons that lessen , diminish and degrade kory's love and relationship with dick .

All this retcons were published by the bat writers after dick and kory already broken up . that includes the cheating thing , the cheating thing was really cheap thing made to prove how much dick loves Barbara and how kory means little to him . Barbara was paralyzed in 1988 in( the killing joke) and dick and kory got engaged in 1993 .

(they made her the sluty alien that got in the girl next door Barbara's way). every time Barbara mentioned her name , she treats her like object . (Barbara only see her as sexy alien dick did date)

For all people that say that dick only proposed to kory out of guilt not love or he just proposed to her because he want her forgiveness . He mentioned marriage four Times before this proposal .

1- he told Donna and Terry that Kory wants to settle down , Terry said it's okay if two people love each other to get married , dick said love is not the problem , the problem is kory's savage behaviour . He can not settle down with someone able to kill .

2- after kory married karras in her planet , dick said even if she gets back with him to earth he will not be happy because he will not be able to Marry her because she is already married to another man

3- after finally accepted her marriage and that her marriage just for her planet's sake , he told her that he would marry her if she accept him because he loves her .

4- he told her that he doesn't know if they can get married because she is already married .

That's four times dick talked about marriage before officially proposing so people should read comics before talking or just shut up .

Hi Everyone! DickKory Week for 2021 will be taking place on October 11th - 17th and we would love to get prompts from you all to see what you would like to create once the week starts!

Prompt submissions will stay open until Saturday, May 29th, and you can submit your ideas by using this form here!

You can submit any kind of prompts, from something as vague as “Angst” or as specific as an actual line of dialogue. Keep in mind that prompts need to be open for interpretation (ex: “First Date” instead of a very detailed premise).

Submit as many prompts as you please!
