HAIR: A shock of red hair.

EYES: One eye is sharp green, like a cut of spring grass. His left is a mangled, useless pearl.

HEIGHT: Average height.

BUILD: Lean, honed. Built to move quick and hit hard.

DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Averill is more scars than healthy flesh. There isn’t a single ilm of him that hasn’t been clawed, chewed, burned, torn, cut, and so on.

There is the matter of his hands; whilst one is permanently wrapped, his right is immediately distinguishing on account of the black, gnarled talons that curl where normal Hyuran fingers should be.

COMMON ACCESSORIES: As mentioned, his left arm is wrapped in a sleeve covering the whole of the limb, up to and around the shoulder. Besides this, there is nothing that he wears out in the open.

Averill makes his way through life investigating the magical, the mythological, and the mysterious. If there’s a weird rumour or an old legend, you can bet he’s either heard of it, or is searching for it!

Between his own missions he works as a mercenary, having developed something of a reputation for his unusual appearance and incredible savagery.

For those affiliated with Grand Companies, or other large military organisations (like those COUGHconqueringCOUGHonesCOUGH), you’ve probably seen a face much like Averill’s on a couple of Company Levequests…

Any kind of RP, really! Averill is pretty flexible, given his experience. He can be part of major adventures, sideline support as a mentor or colleague, or just a drinking buddy. Right now I’m focussed on expanding my connections.

·      He was raised in Coerthas for a few years before his birth-mother died. His father had to abandon his mother after he learned she was pregnant because he had another, proper family in Ishgard to look after and claiming a bastard son to a Miqo’te woman would have been political suicide. When his mother died, he was taken in by a low-born Elezen woman and (begrudgingly) her husband. From there, he served Ishgard as a member of a hidden regiment of knights until the end of the Dragonsong War.

Kastner’s Academy for Passionate Individuals (Aetherburn <<AB-RP>>) will be having our second Magic Faire, celebrating the Moons of Water!

Hana’s voice has always been.. gentle and airy in my head.  Soft, conveying emotion when needed, but never, ever rises in volume.  (Except on the rare occasion.)  The best example for this that I can find, that fits what I hear in my head when she speaks, is Eurielle.  She’s a singer, but... It works.

Hana's eyes fell to the map.  "You're unwilling to give it a chance." "Not right now, no. Not whilst I'm still healing, and getting back into the swing of it. I don't even know what my magic will look like. My body is... changed. My soul, too. I don't know what that means, but I can feel it. Something's different." Hana's tail flicked against her skirt and her soft lips twitched, she smiled, and a gentle, broken laugh escaped her.  Still, it sang silvered and true; a genuine laugh. "What?" "Your magic will be brilliant as ever.  Some things might have changed, it's true, but..."  Hana's brow furrowed as her laughter sobered and she leaned toward him with her free hand, setting her palm against his chest.  "You are and will always be.. you."  Her hand slipped away as she rocked back to her heels. "Such faith," Averill chuckled, again placing his hand over hers, "You certainly know how to warm the heart, Hana. For that, I'm grateful." Hana met him with warmed lilac, the beds of her eyes brightening for the sound of his chuckle, and she shook her head.  "I have faith that everything will be alright.  I have faith that we will end this without being gravely injured.  I have faith that my brother is alright, but you..."  Hana tucked her chin as she stepped closer, so she could draw his hand to her cheek and she rested it against the unfamiliar steel bound at his knuckles.  "But you I know.  It is a certainty, not faith." Averill bowed his head; lifted her hand, and pressed his lips to its back. "Thank you. I mean it." Hana pushed to the tips of her toes and nestled her forehead to his, and the tip of her nose brushed against his.  <"You're welcome."> Averill leaned, touching their foreheads - and then kissed her there, with a small press of his lips to her forehead. "You should go. I'm sure there's a lot that needs sorting whilst I figure this creature out..." Hana closed her eyes to the kiss, however brief it was, and slowly pulled away.  Lilac glimmered up at him through that heavy veil of lashes and she gave a gentle nod; a short dip of her head.  "I will catch up with Anhe, see if she's found anything yet, and mayhap pass the word along to Sirius and Zihji'a.  Let them know what we've discovered so they can start preparations.  It is... A heavy and bleak place down there, even without that creature.  If you need aught, you will tell me?" "I will, aye. Fret not." Averill turned his attention to the map, eyes fading as he began to focus. "Don't worry about me." Hana loosed a breath.  She rocked forward, back to the tips of her toes, and laid her palm to his cheek.  Not steering him toward her, merely holding him there as she kissed his cheek.  <"I will always worry about you.">  Each word - each breath - was another kiss to his cheek before she pulled back.  "I will see you soon, Averill."

Anhe rolls onto the ground, aether fading from her person as the energies all fade. Some scrapes on her hands from the tumble, and her hair's got grass and dirt in it now, but nothing that won't fade. A quiet groan, before Anhe speaks, and when she does, it's with a distinct annoyance. "Fuck that." Hana's stomach lurches as the aether takes them.  From the Undergates to the Goblet, and she spins out onto the grass with a gasp.  It wasn't even through her own aether that they ported and yet she felt the affects of it as if it were.  Her arms trembled as they held her aloft on her knees and her eyes pinched shut; at least she was able to keep the contents of her stomach down. She murmured softly in agreement, her breaths coming in small pants as she tried to keep composure. "Yet we have to go back." Anhe pushes herself up, head shaking. To her knees, then to her feet, reaching down for Hana. She was used to the teleporting, at least, and the rough landings. "We'll worry about that later. Right now...we've got darkness, chains, blades, and a disgusting creature to think about how we'll put down." "And the lack of Anima," Hana uttered as she looked up and gently took Anhe's hand.  She staggered to her feet with far less grace than she normally carried herself, the skin seen through the exposed portion of her mask paled compared to the normal warmth of her.  "You said you didn't feel anything voidal?"  Her voice shook, but whether it was concern or the teleport it was hard to tell.  “We should speak with Averill, anyroad.  As soon as we can." Her head shakes at the mention of void. She pulls Hana in, giving the woman a brief, but meaningful and warm, hug- she knew the signs of being off-balance and upset, and Anhe would do what she could to keep her okay. Hands trail down to clasp hands gently. "Nothing voidal. I'm...none too excited about the prospect of speaking to him again, but we should." Hana leaned into the offered hug and warmth far easier than she would have had it been anyone else, and she curled her touch around Anhe's hands as she took hers.  Her head bowed as she continued to collect herself, and she nodded before looking up to her with a slight cant of her head.  "I know, but we must.  If you'd like, I can speak with him beforehand.  I promised Fiona I would, or we can go together." The Raen gently squeezed Anhe's hands.  "Thank you for coming with me and getting us out.  Are you alright?" "As alright as I can be." The squeeze is returned, a single nod given. "That...may be wise. I'll do some research into the area- other things...like it.""For now? I think we both need to rest..."
