Like okay yeah Scarlet pretty well established herself as Arc's archnemisis and both of them were well aware of that fact and you know her opinion of them was squarely "your injury is personal to me" like the amount of effort they each put into destroying each other is astronomical, but all that being said I feel like when they ended up invoking an echo of her of all people four months into breaking a lotus eater trap with mental illness she had to have been like "dude what the fuck"

Glyn may be abysmal at going undercover, but that begs the question of how well he can root out others that are undercover. Can he easily tell if someone is a spy within his own ranks? ~Chrys

you know what........................... that actually really depends, when i think about it

on one hand, glyn IS super paranoid and hyper-critical of everyone and reads a bunch of shit into innocuous interactions all the time, so in a lot of cases it would be VERY likely that he would pick up on literally any discrepancy or misstep and automatically think the absolute worst.

BUT on the other hand he is so self-obsessed and wrapped up in his own shit all the time that he often has very low awareness and attention irt the people around him, including people he's known for a long time (there have been plenty of times certain members of viper squad have been acting weird bc they have personal stuff going on etc and he hasn't noticed; also he still only KIND OF knows who logan is???? he once, AT A PUBLIC FUNCTION, called him 'the human queen's mewling little man-thing' bc he couldn't remember his NAME and it took alan like a week to smooth it over diplomatically???? things like that.) SO it's just as likely in many cases that you could slip right by him, bc while he spends 50% of his time relentlessly nitpicking everything and everyone around him, he spends the other 50% of his time ignoring and dismissing everything and everyone around him

basically the answer is it's a coin flip. fuck around and find out. maybe he will kill you immediately with a blade to the heart bc you slipped up and used a colloquialism from the wrong region of kryta or something but also maybe he will literally catch you rifling through his drawers of top secret documents and just bark "STOP THAT. OUT OF MY OFFICE. IDIOT" and not follow up on it at all bc he's like massively fucking hungover and doesn't feel like it
