I think the way the (Latino) characters are shown is stereotype, it’s always the violent dude or the criminal or the sexy Latina. It’s up to us to try to change that perception. So Sergio, for me, is kind of the first step, pitch of political ideas trying of make films about, not necessarily characters that are based of real people, but characters that are in different roles, different positions, better understand what American society really is. I remember when I saw Diego Luna on that Star Wars film, being the lead man of Rogue One, and speaking with his Mexican accent. I was very happy. I feel like Latino can also be the main guy, because we’re important part of the society. (x)
