i love how you do color, and it's the thing i struggle with the absolute most. do you have any tips? can you walk through your process?
Thank you<3 I'm not sure if I can offer any tips, but for color, you can start with a palette that you like, to get a head start of what colors you want to use. Personally, I barely use the color wheel when I want to render a drawing. I have this folder of saved palettes I liked and found over the time, and color pick from there. Say, if I wanted a red, I'd skim through the folder until I find the red that I'm looking for!
As for the process, it usually goes like this:
sketch -> lineart -> color block -> base color -> gradients -> shading + color correction -> colored lineart -> minor fixes -> texture overlay
Pretty sure some of these steps could be skipped, but this is the pace I'm comfortable with. Although I ended up using a lot of layers just so it'll be easier for color editing.
