Ereri Fanfic Recs

I’ve been reading so much Ereri, and I’ve checked out so many rec blogs and I feel like I should start making my own contribution. I will update as I read more, so feel free to check back. Here goes!

Long Reads (15+ ch.):

*Augenfresser by cottontale: this fic first caught my attention for being a horror. At first, it was sort of slow, but by the third chapter I was hooked. The horror elements are actually quite disturbing to think about if you’re trying to go to sleep, but I dare you to read it right before bedtime anyways, with your closet door opened… I’ve reread a few section just to experience the tiny bits of fluff because THEY ARE SCARCE BUT SO SO GOOD. (slight horror, past Eruri, supernatural, ongoing)

The Intern by Lutte: Longest fic I’ve ever read, 60 chapters long, it turned me off at first, but after experiencing all the emotions, I read 50 chapters in A SINGLE DAY. (LOTS OF ANGST, bondage, past Eruri, explicit, modern AU)

*Sugar On Top by lunatrancy: I’m not too into the ‘daddy kink’, but this fic is just so sweet (no pun intended) and the character interactions are so great to read. (sugar daddy, abusive Grisha, artist!Eren, eremin BROTP, secret relationship, explicit, ongoing)

Threads of a Fairy Tale by lunatrancy: I’m a huge sucker for fairy tales, especially parodies of them. This fic is really great, love the settings and scenarios. (fairy tale AU, prince!Levi)

*Louder Than Words by TheArtofWar: Omg, both the story and character development are exceptional. The way Levi shows his affection really makes your heart cringe…with happiness and sadness, even though there is a lot of angst, the emotional moments are really nice to read. I like the way the author switches between past and present with each chapter, really lets you get to know the characters. The ending made me tear up. :’) (PTSD, mute!Eren, trigger warnings, explicit)

Danger Line by lunatrancy: If you haven’t noticed, I just love all of lunatrancy’s works, I love the portrayal of characters. This one is for anyone who likes the ‘Romeo and Juliet’ type lovers (not in a cheesy way), people from two opposing sides that shouldn’t be together. One of the first long Ereri fics I read. (police and mafia AU, fake character death, explicit)

Knockout by Raylou: I don’t know why I tried to avoid this one for so long. I kept seeing it being recommended so I didn’t want to read it. But after a while, there was just too much ‘nya nya, you still haven’t read me yet’, so I was like ‘screw it!’ and picked it up. I have to say, it had one of the most satisfying endings I’ve read. I love the action (I even made a fanart), the character development, and just everything about it. (Martial arts AU, age gap)

*The 6th Ward by coldmackerel: This is another fic that I’ve avoided for a long time. But once I started reading it, I couldn’t stop. I’ve never cried so many times nor have I smiled so quickly after a nice crying session reading a fanfic. The ending is so satisfying, and also I thought Eren was a little shit at first, by the end, I wouldn’t have him be anything else. (Hospital AU, ghost? AU, psychological, drama)

1994 by Vee: I believe that this is arguably the most famous Ereri fanfic, and for good reason. Just the right balance of angst and fluff, and great character interactions. This author is amazing with words, I just bought one of her books called Acclamation. (drag!Levi, nightclub, past Eruri, explicit)

Junkyard Dogs by acidtowns: A great open ended fic, the author is great at character development and realistic interactions. I’ve never read this AU before, but this fic made it a great experience. (prison AU, struggle for power, character death, explicit)

*Snow and Silence by elliemoran: I love the way Levi and Eren meet and get to know each other, there’s just something about helping out and saving a complete stranger that appeals to my taste. Eren’s personality and impulsiveness in this one and Levi’s reaction to it are so great, and this fic is full of goodness. (blizzard, claustrophobia, Levi is perfect, Eren is the best, explicit)

*The Little Titan Café by pocketsizedtitan: fluffiest mcfluff fluff that you will ever read. I’ve reread it so many times just to experience the fluff again! Great character interactions and portrayals! (writer!Levi, cashier!Eren, fluff, past JeanEren, Eremin BROTP)

Short Reads (1-15 ch.):

Critical by SlayerEnfiniti: Although it’s on hiatus, I’ve reread what’s already there so many times. I can’t get enough of chef!Eren capturing the stomachs of everyone, especially Levi. (chef AU, Levi has highly refined taste, hiatus)

*Pectin by pumpkinqueene: Another chef!Eren oneshot (a really long oneshot), I love this one! Features a very blunt and bold heichou and an overly useful and doting Eren. (canon-verse AU (lol), chef!Eren)

To Be Fair… by pumpkinqueene: I laughed and smiled like an idiot so often in this one. (crack!fic, gossip like tweens, poor virgin Jean)

Recon Incorporated by freshia: Another of my first ereri fanfics that got me into the fandom, made me fall in love with co-worker/boss AU. Featuring more of Eren capturing everyone’s stomachs with his cooking. (boss! Levi, Assistant!Eren, Eren can cook, explicit)

Cuddling for Dummies by odoridango: I am a huge fan of cuddling, this fic is for anyone who shares the same opinion. (fluff)

Love Language by heiwajima: so much fluff, I love it. (mute!Eren, flower shop, office worker!Levi, fluff)

In Hot Water by freshia: A short and sweet read that features Eren as a thief and Mikasa as his ill sister. This one really gives you jittery feelings as you wonder what Eren will do next XD. (Cop!Levi, thief!Eren, explicit)

Countdown by Opulence: Everything by this author is just so full of emotions, I don’t know how they do it. This fic is so realistic and addresses opinions that don’t really have a right or wrong answer. It’s short, so please give it a try before making prejudgements. (realistic age gap, angst)

And So, The Cat Returned by feriket: A long, but cute oneshot about Eren and cat!Levi, and that, right there, is enough reason for you to pick up this fic. So very sweet with the teeniest bit of angst. I fangirled so much reading Eren interacting with the strays. I love the stories that have the theme of ‘picking up strays’. (cat!Levi, fluff)

The Devil’s Song by SailorHeichou: I’m a sucker for supernatural yaoi fics, so when I read the summary for this one, it sucked me right in. It almost reminds me of a Black Butler AU. The storyline was very good, and the tension and nsfw material O/////O were veeeerry nicely done. (demon!Eren <—– , younger Levi, tattoos, explicit, ongoing, but almost done)

Let Me Hear Your Voice by silicon-jayce: Lol, yay for self advertising, this is a little one shot I wrote for fun, my first time writing nsfw, give it a shot if you have time. :) (canon-verse, drunk!Eren, pwp, explicit)
