Meg: smiled instantly the door was open it had been far too long since she got to see her, "Kara!" She replied back as she threw her arms around the other female, she felt like those videos of friends meeting each other for the first time with how happy she was at the moment, "Oh my god it's so nice to see that face in person and not just facetimes." She laughed as she pulled back to look at the female, "How are you ready for a very very overdue girls night?"
Kara: Getting to see Meg instantly made her feel better. She was bad for not giving herself the proper time off that she should have and she hated saying no to people which meant there were a lot of shifts to be covered. But she was now prepared to spend the night with Meg and spend the next day recovering. "Yes, I am so am!" She said. "I called the cab and it should be here soon." Kara said, grabbing her purse and keys so she could lock up her apartment.

Meg: had been looking forward to getting to spend some time with Kara, they had both been so busy lately so making time for each other was a must. Once Meg got off work she changed into a pair of jeans and a comfy t-shirt slipping on a pair of her sneakers she then calls for an uber that would take her to Kara's place. Grabbing her purse and putting it over her shoulder, the ride wasn't long and she paid once arriving then got out and moved to go and give a quick knock to the other females door and waited for the answer a wide smile on her face.
Kara: couldn't wait to get some time with Meg, it was long overdue and she somehow got to take a few days off in a row, which was rare these days. Kara spent her morning getting ready going for some high waisted shorts with a tank top and pair of sneakers. She got her purse ready just as there was a knock at her door. "Meg!" Kara beamed, instantly giving the other woman a hug. It really had felt like too long since she had seen her best friend.

He chuckled and nodded his head. “Promise, I’ll be like a ninja,” he replied. “I do appreciate you looking for me, by the way… Didn’t really know what to expect coming here,” he said. His eyes drifted back to the man behind the bar, wondering if he was actually watching him, or if it was in his head. Taking a drink from his beer, he shrugged. “I’ve been back and forth. This time around though, it’s only been a few months. Heading back home for a visit before moving here.”
“Thank you.” She laughed. Kara waved her hand in the air at his words. “Please, it’s nothing. I would hate for you to feel unwelcomed.” She said to him. She knew how scary it was to move from place to place and especially when the hours that they worked didn’t lend for the most sociable time, so she wanted to make sure that the was doing okay. “Oh, that’s nice.” Kara smiled. “I would love to see Australia one day. It’s at the top of my places to visit.” She said, taking another sip of her drink.

He shook his head. “Don’t worry about me. I got it under control… But I certainly won’t be turning down the good snacks,” he chuckled. This wasn’t new to him, having headed to new places a few different times. It would be over soon enough and he didn’t want her to spend her time concerned about him. He smiled and winked at her. “Happy to spread the word.” Taking another drink from the glass, he put it down and looked at the older man, smiling softly as Kara waved at him. A small chuckle came from him at the look the man gave him though. “Yeah, seems like he’s looking out for you,” he replied. “Can’t blame him for that though.”
“That’s good.” Kara smiled at the other man. “Don’t let me forget to show you but you gotta be sneaky, I only let people I like see where I keep them.” She laughed. Kara was lucky, she had been working in this hospital for a few years now, she was well respected in the ER, but she knew how it hard it could get. “He does, which is nice.” Kara smiled, taking another drink of her wine. “So, how long have you been in the States for?” Kara asked, interested to know more about the man.
