Behind the Pack House, at the huge backyard, a few Pack Pups were playing snowball fight. Their laughters and giggles erupted and brightened the Pack House. There were several wolf adults who had joined them. One of them being His Omega.
The Alpha left his Pack Members to the merry of the House and walked to the back doors. He watched His Omega laughing and playing and throwing the snowballs from a distance. A dreamy smile formed on his face until he saw a someone threw a snowball towards her.
Of course she managed to doge the the snowball. This was not her first snowball fight. They lived in Alaska in which a place with snow almost all year long. And thick. She'd know the tricks to win the fight even if she had to cheat sometimes but the Alpha in him could not see His Omega being attacked even though it's a friendly one.
Not wanting to scare the rest of the pups, the Alpha walked as calmly as he could towards His Omega. Pack Members were singing inside the Pack House. Someone ruined the song with his bad vocal but they were having fun. For once, the Alpha didn't worry about them.
His Omega kept collecting snows, turned them into balls and threw the snowball at the person closest to her. A pup fell with a thud. It sounded like a cry but she was cackling. Someone else threw a snowball at His Omega in the pup's revenge. His Omega turned to avoid the snowball only to bump into the Alpha's hard rock chest.
She groaned. "OW!"
The Alpha hid the amusement in his voice. "Be careful, Mama," the Alpha said as he steadied both of them so not to fall.
"We're having snowball fight!" She raised his voice at Her Alpha, as if him there only ruining the fun.
"As I can see," he said. Then, he landed his one hand onto His Omega's growing belly. "But you have to remember that there's a pup in here. You need to be careful. You can't fall."
His Omega's face flushed. Even through her sweater (and she's only wearing sweater because there's no point a werewolf wearing a winter coat), she could feel the heat radiating from Her Alpha's skin. Plus, he's right.
"Whatever." She rolled her eyes on Her Alpha and turned around to collect more snow and continue what she had paused only to make Her Alpha softly growled at her.
She turned around with with a glare. She hated his passive-aggressive thing. "Did you just growl at me?"
The Alpha shrugged. "Maybe."
"I heard you. You growled at me."
"What if I did? What're you going to do about it? I'm your Alpha. You can't–"
The Alpha was cut off with a snowball thrown at his chest.
"Did you just throw snow ball at me?"
This time, it's His Omega's turn to shrug and mischievously smirk. "Someone need to stop you from being so serious."
The Alpha wouldn't back down. Of course he didn't because he's the Alpha. He can't let his Pack see how weak he was even though the whole Pack House knew how weak he could be when it comes to His Omega. Though that's not a bad thing. Every other alpha on the Territory had a weakness when it comes to their omegas. Or a better word, they'd call it "soft spot."
Soon, the Alpha joined the little group at the backyard playing snowball fight. But of course the Alpha and His Omega were on different teams. What fun was there if they're on the same team?

"Promise me not to that again, Alpha," His Omega said as they lay facing each other, his one arm was over her waist. His eyes focused on hers. It may sound weird but she looked beautiful in the morning. So fresh especially after she got what she wanted the other night.
"It hurts."
"I'm sorry," the Alpha answered. "I was–I was too caught up with those Men to feel it."
"You felt it," His Omega corrected him. "I know you felt it but you ignored it. I don't know how you did it, Alpha, but I really hate you for that."
"I'm sorry, Omega. I really am."
His Omega sighed. She could really go down the road with this but she didn't want to open up her old wounds. They're here now and she had forgotten their last argument.
"I love you," the Alpha blurted.
"What?"
The Alpha looked into His Omega's eyes and said it once again. "I love you."
"You love... me?"
The Alpha nodded his head.
"Alpha," she chuckled unbelievably. "Love, as much as hate, is a strong word. It's deep. It's meaningful to me. I don't want you to say that today and reject me again tomorrow."
"I know." The Alpha gathered her in his arm and brought her closer. Their naked skin touched from their waist downwards. The only thing that covered them from the outside view was the sheet around their waist.
"Say it. I need to hear you say you love me and not reject me again."
"I love you, My Omega," the Alpha obeyed. "I love you and I will never, ever reject you. I will not reject you on the first hint of your Heat. I will not leave you when you're on your peak. I will spurt my seed inside of you more and more, until you're round with my pups and I will take care of you and protect you until the pups grow up to be the Pack Alpha."
"Hmm." His Omega smiled sheepishly. "That sounds like a good plan," she said and pushed herself towards Her Alpha.
He winced, pushing His Omega's hips gently.
"It hurts?"
He closed his eyes and even his breathing. He was inside His Omega all night long. The rough sex could hurt him as much as it could to His Omega's opening if he pumped too hard.
"Yeah, I need a minute."
"Good."
The Alpha laughed at His Omega even though it shouldn't be that funny but he understood her.
While His Omega was soft and gentle with pups, and with her patients, but she could be that tough and stubborn and snarky woman. Not only to him but to anybody that got under her skin. When she hurts, she wanted other people to hurt too especially to the person who caused her the pain. Like him. Like Her Alpha.
His Omega finally sighed. "I need to tidy up my chamber."
"Why don't you just let the maid–"
"And mix her scent with yours?" His Omega began to yell.
"Sorry. I'm sorry." The Alpha sounded panicked. "Sorry I brought it up."
"Good."
The Alpha nodded. "Good."

And the Alpha was not in her Nest that night. As well as the next and the next and the next. He could feel it under his skin that His Omega was truly in Heat right now, but the chase is finally almost over. There was the Alpha Man left and they were leading him right into the Private Territory.
There, their Higher Rankings were already waiting. While he's hearing His Omega whining in his ears because her Heat is getting intense, he watched His Higher Rankings caging the Alpha Man while he stood right in front of the Alpha Man on the higher ground. He had outsmarted the Alpha Man.
His Omega was in distress. And he was not near her. Hell, he was not in the Pack House for several days now. Despite what he promised himself to do for His Omega, he's breaking his own promise. But he thought today was the day that this will be over.
He watched the Alpha Man who was watching him and his left and his right. He looked paler than the snow under them. He's breathing but in his eyes, the Alpha knew he was long gone. It's the same look he saw in His Omega after the Injured Wolf died.
But he's about to get the life back into His Omega's eyes and that was by killing the Alpha Man as the start.
And he launched. He jumped over the Alpha Man's head and landed behind him. Before he could find his footing to turn around, the Alpha launched once again. He didn't intend to injure the Alpha Man yet. He was to confuse him first.
The Alpha Man had taped his knife in one hand and glasses in the other. The knife sliced through the skin on his stomach when he launched again and he fell. It took him a few seconds to regain but just a few seconds. When he's on his four again, even with blood dropping onto the white ground, he attacked the Alpha Man.
The Alpha Man fell onto his back, wringing his arms. The Alpha got more cuts. Some just the skin, some deep. Some of the slices healed themselves on the spot but the deep wound weakened him, to the Alpha Man's pleasure.
The Chief Pack Warrior helped while their Alpha struggled to plant his canines in the Alpha Man's shoulder. The Chief Pack Warrior bite the Alpha Man's leg. Another came to bite the Alpha Man's thigh on the other side. It distracted the Alpha Man from their Alpha. He swung his knife, but the Chief Pack Warrior's eyes. He whined and backed off but another came to replace him.
Finally, the Alpha Man gave in. He stopped fighting and letting the wolves eat him. When life was finally got taken out of him, the wolves howled. The Alpha staggered a little but then he remembered that His Omega needed him. Through the blur, he ran back to the Pack House.
He can't pass out. But he also can't be feral. So he had to be fast before he lost all his senses and harm His Omega.
When he arrived at the Pack House, His Pack Members were nowhere to be seen. Not like he cared. He's in the a state between human and animal. His Pack could feel that through their bond. Perhaps, it's better they stayed inside their chambers if they didn't want their Alpha to lash out on them.
All he could see was His Omega's scent now. It's overwhelming him and he could not tell himself to be calm anymore. He ran upstairs. His heart pumping in his chest. His Knot slapping on his stomach. He was glossed with sweat.
His Omega's Nest didn't look like a proper chamber anymore. The poster bed was tilted. The curtain pole was unhinged. Some of the furnitures were upside down. His clothes mounted on the bed but His Omega was nowhere to be seen.
He called for her for a few times. She didn't answer until he heard her voice crying in the attached bathroom.
"Omega."
"No. No. No."
"Omega–" he approached her figure who was sitting naked, hugging her knees close to her chest, water running down on her. "Omega–"
"Don't come near me!" His Omega suddenly yelled. "Get out! Get out!"
"Omega, please, don't do this."
"You rejected me!" His Omega cried. "You rejected me. And–And it hurts. The bond hurts. And–And I can't take it. I tried rejecting you but I can't. I can't. And I tried everything but it just won't go away."
She was referring to her Heat. How could he not feel it when she tried to reject him? Was it because he was so busy with the Men? Chasing them in his wolf form. Was it because of that?
Perhaps it was there, but she was not doing it strong enough for him to feel it. He remembered there was a disturb but he chose to ignore it. He thought it was only him worrying about His Omega.
Or maybe because he hadn't claimed her.
"Omega, don't reject me now if you don't want me go feral."
"Why does it matter if you go feral? You rejected me. You don't want me. You ignored my Mating Call and it's not the first time."
"Tell me what I should do to make it up to you. Please, Omega, i can't see you like this."
"You shouldn't reject me."
"I am not rejecting you. I'm here now."
"It hurts." His Omega cried more. He could feel her heart breaking and his heart broke too. "It hurts. It hurts."
It looked like His Omega was not herself as she was rocking herself back and forth under the water. And hearing her chanting the same word over and over again, plus with his desire to breed His Omega, and also his rut, he finally went feral. There's no negotiation coming from him anymore.
The Alpha entered the tub without His Omega's permission. And no matter how much His Omega was saying no, but based on the smell coming from her opening, he knew His Omega needed him and could not reject him.
He pulled up His Omega, made her wrapped her legs around his waist himself. His Omega said "No" a few more times but as soon as he made out with her, she welcomed him.
She wrapped her arms around Her Alpha's neck, rolling her hips against Her Alpha's body. She moaned when she felt Her Alpha's Knot. And soon, they were no longer them. Both of them had gone feral. They were eager. They wished they had more than two hands to feel every inch of each other's skin.
When the Alpha pushed himself into her, she didn't hide her pleasure. She didn't care if the whole Pack House heard her having sex with the Alpha. He's her trophy. She needed to make sure that every unmated omega knew the Alpha was hers and she was the one who was going to carry the Alpha's pups.
While still being inside His Omega, he carried her to her Nest. They continued there. They fell asleep out of exhaustion after every other round but did it again once they woke up. Her Heat was so bad that it lasted almost a week.

When he got back to the Pack House, he was drenched from head to toe. Not only that, he was naked. He was oh so very naked. His Omega smelled him from the Healer's Chamber. She was changing one of the injured wolf's dressings when she also scented something different in Her Alpha's smell.
She rushed with her work. Without cleaning herself, she ran out and find Her Alpha at the door. There's something in the way he's standing there wet and naked, and very proud of himself that he let everybody see him like a supermodel that made her stopped in her tracks.
She stared at Her Alpha. Her jaw hung low at the sight of him. Her eyes raked on every angle of Her Alpha's body. His packs, his taut muscles, the scars, his height, his wet hair. Again, she didn't know why he looked so fucking different there when she'd seen the same statue in her Nest.
Someone called her from her right. It's one of the Pack Healer. She came with a towel in her hand and wrapped the towel around His Omega's hands. She grabbed His Omega's hands and tried to pull His Omega with her to properly clean His Omega in the Healer Chamber.
But she stayed on the ground especially when her eyes caught another omega female came with a towel for Her Alpha.
She growled at the omega. "Don't."
The Alpha smirked. Something inside him exploded. The animal inside him was pushing him to grab His Omega and make out with her in front of these people to make a point but he won't put His Omega into that position. Not at this moment. Not at anytime.
"Take a towel in my Nest."
The Alpha couldn't decide either His Omega being possessive because of her incoming Heat or because she was jealous. But either way, he liked it. He loved it. He loved it when His Omega was being possessive. It turned him on.
Not wanting to add more fire into the fight, the Alpha started to make a move towards His Omega's Nest but he managed to grab her and flung her onto his shoulder and carried her to her Nest, ignored the other Healer.
He put her down once they were inside her Nest but before he does anything to her, he pulled her into the attached bathroom and stripped her naked in there. And then they were naked together.
"I thought I told you that you're banned from my Nest until it's over."
"I know," the Alpha said and carried her into the bathtub with him.
"Then what're you doing?"
The Alpha didn't answer. He turned on the water. "You're burning." He sounded worried.
"You should leave," His Omega said, though she didn't look like she meant it because she got her fingers tracing seducingly on Her Alpha's abs.
"Should I?"
"Yes." His Omega's hands on his hips before running back up to his chest while he got one of his hand on her back and the other on her bottom.
"Hmm." The Alpha hummed as he massaged His Omega's bottom, bringing her close to him and make her feel how excited he was with her heat.
"I'm not in Heat yet."
"Almost, at least," the Alpha hummed beside her ear, already had his fingers tracing inside her thighs.
"Alpha–"
"Shhh," the Alpha kissed her mating gland. His fingers were torturing close to her opening. He heard His Omega hiccup. "You're in pain, Omega. Let me help you."
"But I still need to fully function tomorrow. I c–ah–I can't leave the pups alone."
"I know. I know." The Alpha also knew that they have enough Pack Healers to help take care of the injured Pack Members but His Omega just didn't want not to help them. "But let me help you tonight, okay. Heard it help with all the stress."
His Omega chuckled at that, moaning with a lot of pleasure when she felt Her Alpha's digits entering her. It was one at first, but she was already wet so he inserted two which made her feel fuller. A little bit. Though not as full as when Her Alpha had his Knot inside of her. "Yeah, you better–"
She was not there yet but she was already shaking as Her Alpha pumped his fingers inside of her. A gush of slick coating Her Alpha's fingers and running on her thighs.
The Alpha groaned. His Knot was already jerking his pre-cum while she was clenching around his fingers.
"Alpha, I'm–"
"That's alright, Omega," the Alpha said. "It's your time of month, I know you're not going to last long so you can."
His Omega moaned and whined and winced and clawed onto Her Alpha's skin as she screamed. The Alpha felt a sting as the water kept running down on them, but why would the Alpha cares?
His Omega's knees were weak. She launched her body at him. The Alpha laughed.
"We're going to need round 2."
"I know," His Omega answered. "Just give me some time."
The Alpha laughed again, loving the scent that mingled in the bathroom. He kissed the top of His Omega's head. And they just stood there, under the running water, cooling His Omega's temperature.

That afternoon, the Alpha went for a run just to clear up his mind from the argument with His Omega. He thought by avoiding her, ignoring her, was hard enough but to have an argument with her...
His Omega was right. Chasing, hunting, haunting, killing, punishing those Men were only killing back their own kinds, but he won't feel satisfied as long as the Alpha Man was still standing. He won't have a good night's sleep if the Alpha Man was still on the Territory. Because what if he's still alive when he have pups one day and his pups find their own fate like their uncle?
The snow bed was as thick as always. It was raining more ice. The wind had picked up at the snow clearing but he stayed away from the mountains, avoiding the avalanche. If he was lucky, those Men die from the avalanche and he will come home without having any of his Pack Members killed.
But that didn't happen, of course.
The Alpha found them at the small river, the river where His Omega and her friends would play sometimes.
"Alpha," someone made himself present behind him.
The Alpha didn't answer. He watched as three men walking in one line along the banks of the river. Werewolves may not be very good at crossing rivers, but at least, cold never bothered them. Unlike the humans. The water was too cold for the humans to cross as well as the weather.
Behind the tree line, the Alpha followed the Men. His black fur looked like an anomaly in the dark but the Alpha Man heard them. He turned. Their eyes locked. The Alpha didn't attack. He continued following them until something snapped in his mind and he started to chase those Men.
"Alpha!" His Pack Warrior called. "Alpha. The water."
The Alpha ignored his Pack Warrior. He didn't care about the water. All he cared right now was to at least kill two of them, leave the Alpha Man alone, let him live one more day or two, then led him to the Private Territory. He wanted this to be done before His Omega got into Heat because then he wanted to be there for her. He wanted to breed her.
The Alpha jumped into the water. He knows he won't be able to kill them himself in the water. He was hoping to scare them, maybe they'll get killed drowning. That'll make his job easier.
"Alpha!"
One of his Pack Warrior was pushing himself above water. He did not have other options but to save him before he was the one who drowned. He returned to the water, slipped on the slippery rock but he hadn't given up. He pushed himself to the middle of the water, in which by now those Men were already almost to the other side. He was about to turn around when one of them fell into the water.
The other two Men turned around to save their friends but stopped when they saw the Alpha had done it for them. Only they were fooled by the Alpha. He freed their friend, but when he pulled him up to the bank, he let his Pack Warrior killed them. They left the Men astounded.
The Alpha locked eyes with the Alpha Man again. He lowered his muzzle and smiled at him.

It got so busy over the next few days. His Omega, who was also the one of the Pack Healer, had been working extra hours tending injured wolves. Every other night, while lying in her Nest with Her Alpha, sometimes still locked with His Knot, she'd be called for emergency.
Until one day His Omega could not stand with it anymore. Their kind was territorial. They despise intruders, rogues, whoever crossed the borders even though they claimed they didn't mean to. But to put the Pack Members in harm's way...
"Alpha," His Omega had to see him in his office in the Pack House. He was with other Higher Rankings, in discussion of their next plans. "I need you to stop this."
She didn't care that there were the Higher Rankings with His Alpha. Whatever they were discussing, they could postpone them. Right now, she just can't see anymore Pack Members die.
Seeing the seriousness in His Omega's eyes, he nodded to His Higher Rankings. They started to leave without being told twice and His Omega barely looked at them as they walked pass her to the door.
The Alpha doesn't like it when His Omega showed no respect for His Higher Rankings. After all, these people were the ones who helped protect the Pack. "Omega."
"I need you to stop the chase. We lost too many pups in just a few weeks, Alpha. You can't do this anymore. I cannot handle it anymore."
The Alpha watched His Omega's exhausted face. He remembered the time they lost one of their Pack Members one of the first few nights they chased after the Men. She looked as if she lost her soul. And right now, she looked like she had lost herself.
He hated to see that look on His Omega's face. There were a few splotches of blood on her scrub and he hated the smell of it.
"When are you going to stop this? Please, Alpha." His Omega started to cry. "I–"
"We can't."
"Why?"
"I told you why," the Alpha answered.
"Is this because of the Alpha Man?" His Omega asked. She saw him wincing. "Alpha, maybe he didn't mean to do it."
The Alpha snapped. "Didn't mean to do it? All these times he killed one of us, one by one, and he didn't mean to do it? You see, he had a pattern. Every time, one of us go out there for patrols. There's always at least one death a day."
"Weren't they on a job or something? They're humans, Alpha. They needed the job. And their job happened to be on the Territory. How would they know–"
"But that doesn't mean they have the rights to kill us!" the Alpha yelled at His Omega for the first time since they were Present. "He's... He killed my brother, 'Mega. I can't let them go."
His Omega's eyes began to water.
"But Alpha, I–"
"No." The Alpha shook his head. "I don't want to listen anything anymore. We're going to wait until the Alpha Man's left. And we're going to turn him to the Private Territory. Kill him there."
His Omega kept quiet because she knew she doesn't have a say in this anymore.
She turned around to get back to the Healer's Chamber. Her body shaking. Her body was burning up. Sweats forming on her forehead. And she had to ignore any pain in her muscles because she can't afford being in Heat right now because they still had unstable Pack Members in the Healer's Chamber. At least for now until they bring them to the Pack Hospital.
"Where are you going?"
"Back to the Healer's Chambers, Alpha, where else should I serve my service to?" His Omega answered without looking at him.
"Omega. You better get back into your Nest. You're almost in Heat."
"Who cares?!" His Omega turned to the Alpha. Her eyes glassy, murderous. "Who have time for Heat when her Pack Members are unstable?"
In other occasions, the Alpha would be so proud His Omega cared for the Pack Members. They're soon to be hers once they present themselves as a mated couple. The Alpha knew every Pack Member would be very happy for her to be their Luna.
"Omega–" the Alpha tried to warn His Omega, but His Omega was past being obedient.
"Don't Omega me," His Omega put up her finger to warn the Alpha. "If the Alpha Man is everything you care about, so be it. I'm going to let you. But I don't want you in my Nest until whatever this is over."

The Alpha sighed. He didn't want to tell His Omega what they found. He didn't want to worry His Omega. He had always wanted pups. Lots of them. He wanted to raise them himself, teach them to be good warriors, male or female, alpha or omega or beta. He wanted pups with His Omega from the first time he found It out.
He was excited about having pups with her, but right now, as his commitments added up, as his job getting riskier day by day, he began to have a doubt.
"If you're not going to tell me whatever it was that made you sad, Alpha, I'm going to get back to my nest." As if making a point, His Omega pulled herself but the Alpha stopped her.
"Wait," he whispered. "I'm sorry. I just... didn't know how to tell you and not making you worry about it."
"Just tell me, what was it?"
"We found the Men's wallets not far from the Pack House on the snow bed."
"Okay. And?"
"I checked them out. Cards, IDs, their family pictures."
"Seriously, Alpha, what is it?" His Omega was getting impatient.
"It's... when I looked at those pictures, I can't help thinking about my own," the Alpha finally said. "Not the Pack, but my own. Me, my omega, my pups. I can't help thinking, what if it was me in that position."
"How many of them?"
"Those survivors? About 9, but now they're down to 4," the Alpha answered. He shook his head. "If only we know they were not hunters, I wouldn't order the Patrols to kill them. But one of them. The Alpha Man. He hunted wolves. He was the one who killed many of us."
"How do you know?"
"I just know."
His Omega nodded her head. Even though she had never saw the Alpha Man's face, but she understood. To calm Her Alpha's crazy pheromones, she rubs Her Alpha's chest. She purred, and the Alpha slowly calmed down.
"You know, we never talked about pups before."
The Alpha's heart skipped a beat. "Yeah–" he cleared his suddenly dry throat, too shock from what's coming from His Omega's mouth.
"Do you think it's time we talk about it?"
"Hmm." The Alpha coughed again. "Yeah. Uh-huh."
"I always wonder how many you want, if you ever wanted it with me."
"Hey." The Alpha quickly shut her down, pulling her closer and hugging her tighter, making her feel the bulge against her stomach. "I always want to have pups with you. From the moment I first knew you were mine. I could breed you everyday if you allow me to."
"I'm not in heat."
"You're right, but that doesn't mean I won't impregnant you. The chance is low but not never."
His Omega chuckled.
"What?"
"Nothing."
"You want to do it now?"
"If you want to." His Omega shrugged.
"Omega." The Alpha growled seductively beside His Omega's ear. A gush of slick slipped out, wetting His Omega's panties. She was shaking.
"My nest."
"No. My room this time."
"My. Nest."
"My. Room."
"If you're going to say your room after I say my nest this one last time, you can forget about your pups."
The Alpha laughed. "Okay. Okay."

For the next three weeks, two more men died. One because of the Pack Warrior, one died of hunger. Now they were four of them left including the Alpha Man.
"Where are they now?" the Alpha asked for an update from the Chief Pack Warrior.
"Still in the Territory, but at least they're getting away now. They're not even close with the Private Territory."
The Alpha nodded his head. "Good."
They were silence in the clearing for a while. The Alpha watched one beta from the Patrol member lay dead with his tongue out on the snow. His blood was still red, fresh. The Alpha wondered who killed him but then he decided that it didn't matter because they still managed to kill one of the Men.
The Alpha turned to get back to the Pack House. Those Men were leaving the Territory. He thought he'd give them the freedom for now. He's going to let those Men find their way out in peace without threats or warning or killings. He wanted to go to home to His Omega.
"Also, Alpha," Chief Pack Warrior spoke again, stopping him. "We found this." He jerked his head towards his right. The Alpha followed His Chief Pack Warrior close. Just after a few steps, there were wallets on the snow bed.
Without changing into human form, the Alpha observed the wallet one by one. He flipped open the nearest one, one of the man's identity card was inside the slot but that's not what piqued his interest. It's the pictures in the transparent flap.
The Alpha opened another wallet. He found more pictures in the transparent flap. And then he found another pictures in the transparent flap. He opened more and more wallets, in total they were about 18 of them and he found pictures in the transparent flap. And they were not only pictures, but they were family pictures. Mother, fathers, wives, girlfriends, sons and daughters.
The Alpha told them to leave those wallets there. After all, it was no use of them to bring them back to the Pack House. Those Humans were not going to get them back anyway.
At the Pack House, the Alpha stood by the tall window in his office. Those pictures he found in those wallets twisted his stomach. So since he got back, he was quiet and kept his thoughts to himself until His Omega came into his office and hugged him without saying anything.
"Hey." The Alpha tried to soothe her by caressing her back. He pulled a face. "Dammit, you smell rancid. What's wrong?"
"One of the omegas had a miscarriage."
"Shit. I'm sorry." The Alpha hugged her back.
"Tell me we're okay." It was only then when he heard her sniffled that the Alpha realised His Omega was crying. "Please, Alpha, tell me we're okay."
"Hey. Shhh." The Alpha cupped His Omega's cheeks and tilted her face up so she's looking at him. "We're fine. Okay? I promise you we're fine. We're not going to have a miscarriage." The Alpha wiped the tears on His Omega's cheeks.
She nodded her head and sniffled. "Okay."
The Alpha slowly let go of His Omega's face and let her rests her head on his chest while he hugged her even more so tightly. He rocked her, left and right left and right, sushing her.
"Can you purr for me?" His Omegas requested. "Purr for me, please, Alpha."
"Okay." The Alpha ran his fingers through His Omegas's soft long hair. "I'll purr for you."
"You're sad." His Omega pointed after a few minutes of quiet moment.
"No. I'm not."
"I could smell you. After your hunt. You were sad at something," His Omega said. "Tell me what it was."
The Alpha shook his head.
"Alpha," His Omega seethed. "Tell me."
"Did you just growl at me?"
"What if I did?"
The Alpha chuckled. "Nothing. I just find it amusing." And wondering to himself why he didn't claim His Omega as soon as he found out about them, save his Pack Members the trouble and get all the sweetness in the relationship. He knew His Omega was not easy to live with but he wouldn't to miss the chance being growled by His Omega. She's so adorable.
"Tell me."

"How long does it going to take?" His Omega asked as she straddled the Alpha in Her Nest. They started off with the Alpha caging her, now ended up with His Omega caging him.
"What–the Knot?" the Alpha tried to wiggle, testing if His Omega was still feeling anything from the Knot he pushed deep inside of her. Aside from feeling it still thick and stretching His Omega and jerking his seed inside her womb, the Alpha was not hurting.
However, His Omega–when he moved even though only an inch, His Omega hissed and winced.
"Don't move," she said panicked. He was so big that she was afraid he was going to tear her. At the moment, she knew, she won't be walking straight once this was over.
"Hurts?"
His Omega nodded her head lazily.
"I'm sorry," the Alpha said, kissing the top of her head, though he's not entirely sorry, no. In fact, he was proud of the size of himself. He was proud of His Omega for taking his size like a good omega she was. He'd done this before, of course, with other omegas before he met His Omega, but they're nothing compared to her.
As she lied on top of Her Alpha, with her ears on his chest, listening to his heartbeat, she asked again, "So?"
"Honestly? I don't know," the Alpha answered. "45 minutes, maybe? 1 hour? Maybe more?"
"More than one hour?" His Omega sat up. She looked down to where they were connected. "Like this?"
The Alpha chuckled. His eyes trailed His Omega's long hair that covered her breasts. His eyes went dark again but he before anything happen again, he woke himself up. His Omega was not in condition of more sex. At least, at the moment.
"Yes. More than an hour. Like this." The Alpha tracing random shapes on His Omega's back. It used to take 45 minutes with the past omegas, but right now, with His Omega looking so naked and hot and smelled so good in front of him, he had a feeling that it's going to take longer.
"Now, come back here–" he patted his chest. "–get some sleep if you can. I'll wake you up when the sun's up."
His Omega took her position back on top of the Alpha's chest. Carefully she wiggled, trying to get comfortable. She'd done that for a few seconds even though she was hissing and wincing, the Alpha had to stop her from wiggling more or his Knot won't deflate.
His Omega laughed. "Sorry," she muttered on his naked chest, smiling so big as if she's in heaven. She loved it when Her Alpha caressing her sides with his calloused thumbs. It lulled her to sleep.
"Hmm," the Alpha muttered back as he scented Her Scent more and more. No matter how many time he scented her, it doesn't feel enough.

The Alpha was gone for a few nights. On the night he got back, he found his Pack Members were already at the Long Table. Dinner was ready and they were waiting for their Alpha to eat together.
Once the Alpha gave them the green light, everybody started to devour whatever in front of them. It's not a strange sight especially after the Full Moon. The mated alphas and omegas will tend to have breeding sex non-stop inside their chambers that by the time it's over, they're starving.
The Alpha was amongst them. He was gone for a few nights but not breeding some random omegas. He was tracking those Men, punishing them, warning them, threatening them with his betas. He can't stay inside the Pack House during Full Moon knowing that he could not claim and mate and breed His Omega. He knew he could not stand Her Scent.
Gosh, Her Scent. Full Moon had passed for a few days now, but he could still smell Her Scent. Even though it's not as sharp and thick during Full Moon, but he could still smell it and it's making his pants tight.
The Alpha watched as His Omega played with her soup. Her face sagged. Her lips turned upside down. Her eyes looked tired. She looked like she had lost a few pounds but she didn't look starving either. What happened?
Someone kicked her in her legs causing her to look up. Someone in front of her jerk his chin towards the Alpha. It was her mistake to turn and look at his direction because as soon as their eyes locked, she's transfixed.
She lost the grip of her spoon. It clattered onto the table then onto the floor. It was muffled by the loud chatters and laughters around the table but the people beside her turned. She smiled at them, bent down to recollect her spoon.
Without asking the Alpha's permission, she stood up and left the Long Table. People watched her, aghast because how dare she leave the table without the Alpha's permission.
But while the Alpha could only stare and wonder what's wrong with His Omega, His Second-in-Command knocked the table to get the Pack's attention. Just like that, the Kitchen returned to its original mood.
Without dismissing the dinner, the Alpha left the Long Table. Silently, but not without His Omega's knowing, he followed her to her chamber.
"Are you going to invite me?" the Alpha asked as soon as they reached Her Chamber. She was already inside, her back facing the Alpha who was standing outside her door.
"Do I have to?"
The Alpha smirked. He took a step forward, watched His Omega and entered the room. Her Scent was strong inside Her Chamber. Her Scent blanketed him like a magic blanket. He instantly felt like home, one that he never wanted to leave now that he's involved.
"Omega–"
"What do you want?" His Omega asked sternly.
"Omega?"
"Just tell me what what do you want and leave."
"What?" The Alpha raised his eyebrows.
"You've never wanted to see me before. Never even noticed me. Never announced It. Why now suddenly?"
The Alpha stared at His Omega.
"Do you even know that we're mates?"
The Alpha's heart broke knowing that His Omega had to ask such question when he knew she knew that every werewolf would know their fated mates. Even if they hadn't claimed them, they know.
"I think you should leave, Alpha. It's late. I–" His Omega sighed. Her hands and knees were shaking. "I need to be alone right now."
"Invite me to your nest."
"What?"
"You're disturbed. I can help you calm down. Invite me to your nest."
"First, I'm not disturbed. Second, I will never invite you to my nest after what you've done to me."
The Alpha growled.
"Don't you dare growl at me." His Omega bravely pointed her finger at him. "You're the one who rejected me. You never answered my Mating Call. You saw me in distress after the death of the Injured Wolf but you never comforted me. And you're the one growling?"
"I never rejected you."
His Omega gulped. "But you never accepted me either."
"No. I accepted you," the Alpha said. "But I can't approach you, Omega. We can't be like other mated alpha-omega. My job is going to put you in jeopardy."
"Why do you think I care?" His Omega was shaking uncontrollably now. "Please, Alpha, I need to be alone. The–The Full Moon was 3 days ago but I–I think my body is–and you here–"
"Let. Me. Help. You."
His Omega was crying now. "I can't let you if you're going to go back to your normal self tomorrow morning. You're going to leave me, pretend I don't exist, ignore my feelings and emotions. I can't let you do that to me."
"I won't. This time I won't. I promise."
His Omega shook her head. She doesn't want to believe him but His Scent clouded her judgement. She could not think straight.
The Alpha slowly approached her until he got His Omega backed against the wall, caging her. "Let me help you. Please," he said close enough but without touching her.
"Okay," His Omega whispered, nodding her head, defeated. Finally. "Okay, Alpha. Help me."
When His Omega looked up to him, the Alpha knew that she was gone.

The Alpha found the Men resting and sleeping around a small fire camp in a clearing. It was not a big clearing but enough tree bucks and dry stick for them to make fire to warm themselves. These humans. They shouldn't be here! The Alpha thought the Patrol had directed them away from the Territory but instead, they entered deeper.
In the silence of the night, with the wind howling in the trees, the Alpha made himself presence. He did it on purpose. He wanted these Men to know he's there. In the clearing. With them. He wanted them scared of him. He wanted to kill them all at once. He had the strength. He'd win in the challenge.
These men were humans. They were only humans. And he was a werewolf. An alpha werewolf. The Alpha Werewolf. And he has the Omega who was just as strong as him, but he couldn't bear to see another one of those looks in her eyes after his Pack Member died. And he wanted to kill these Men who had caused this, but he can't.
His Patrols were now with him. He walked out of the shadow, growled and bared his teeth. His eyes stared at the Alpha Man. He's with a torch. The fire will hurt him, but will not kill him.
Then, his eyes averted to the weakest man of the men. He took a slow step forward. His yellow eyes stared at him as the weakest man took a step back. And soon, they stood in a horizontal line like pupils getting punished by their teacher. He growled a few seconds more at him before returning to the Alpha Man.
"Alpha, let's go home," His Second-in-Command suggested. "You don't want to do it tonight. It's the Full Moon."
The Alpha shook his head. The silent conversation scared those Men.
"No. That is exactly why we have to do this."
But the Alpha didn't attack them straight away. He turned around and returned to the blackness. He howled. His Pack members howled. It's the Full Moon. It's the Mating Call across the werewolves continents. While omegas have heats and the alphas have ruts every months, but it's different during the Full Moon.
It's intense. Mated alphas and omegas should be in the chambers together for the whole night to avoid getting feral. That includes the Alpha. However, since the Alpha still seem to think that it's dangerous to answer the Mating Call and be with His Omega, he decided to attack the Men with the betas.
He wanted to kill them himself. He wanted to kill the Alpha Man right now himself. But for joy, he decided that he'll do the Alpha Man last while he watch his betas torture one of them to death. Though this time, he made sure no one was badly injured.

Those Men were survivors. They wouldn't have the right equipment to kill a werewolf but this injured one was losing a lot of blood and His Omega was wondering what had happened.
The Pack Hospital was a few miles away so she rushed the Pack Member to carry the injured wolf towards the Healer's Chamber. It's nothing compared to the Pack Hospital, but at the moment, it will do.
His Omega helped the Chief Healer tend the Injured Wolf's wounds. She helped press cloths onto the wound so the Injured Wolf wouldn't lose so much blood–as if he hadn't lose much blood. Other Healers helped wrapped the bandage around the Injured Wolf's body, feeling as his breath getting shallower and shallower.
"No, not right now," His Omega mumbled. "Please, not right now. You need to be strong. Listen to me. You're strong. You're going to get through this."
It was a chaos inside the Healer's Chamber. Blood everywhere. Orders here and there. They sounded as if they were fighting with each other while trying to safe the Injured Wolf. Until they could not anymore.
The Chief Healer called the time. Someone noted it down. Another Healer took off her nursing cap. His Omega found a chair and threw herself on the chair even with blood on her scrubs.
His Omega stared into nothing as she sat there in the silence by herself. She looked defeated. The Injured Wolf died and she looked as if part of her died with him. Well, he's a Pack Member. And His Omega was a loyal member and of course the bond was strong. But as the Alpha watched His Omega from the door, he got angry.
Feeling a burn on her right, His Omega looked up only to find the Alpha staring at her. She sat up, hoping the Alpha came into the Healer's Chamber, finally approaching her and finally making it seen as they were supposed to be seen. But instead, the Alpha turned and headed for the front doors and ran and chased after the Men.

The next night, at the same time and same place, they were having dinner. The Pups were in their Den one door down. The adult wolves were having their time at the Long Table. However, unlike yesterday, the air in the Kitchen was heavy. It tasted so stale because after yesterday, everybody had been worried about those intruders.
"Are they going to harm us, Alpha?" One of the Pack Members asked. She must be worried of herself and her family especially the life in her belly.
His Omega took the Pack Member's hand and caress the top of her hand gently, telling her not to worry because they have strong Pack Warriors and they need to believe that the Pack Warriors will do anything to protect the Pack Members.
His Omega was so brilliant and seducive that she made the Pack Member believed in her. A few seconds after that, it seems that the Pack House was back to their normal routines–dinner, drinks, gossips, laugh. But only the Alpha could feel how worried His Omega was about her own safety, the Pack's safety, Her Alpha's safety.
Maybe it's the bond. His natural instinct. He hadn't claimed His Omega yet.
The Alpha felt something inside his chest. He felt proud of His Omega. She was, indeed, born to be the Luna. Aside from that, His Omega's care towards him only made him turn on.
The Alpha watched as His Omega's hands suddenly shook.
Table manners weren't exactly the werewolves's concern. They'd just eat their steak with their bare hands. And it's not as disgusting as when their wolves eating fresh meat. The Alpha saw the steak dangling from His Omega's fingers shaking as well.
He was pleasured by the sight. He loved that he had an effect towards His Omega. And he didn't realise that the pheromone he emanated to lure His Omega, wafted in the Kitchen air and bothered the rest of the Pack Members.
"Alpha."
The Alpha didn't know who, but he heard several other alphas growled at him. That sexual pheromone drove mated omegas to be drawn towards the Alpha. Their Alpha or not, they still do not like it and would challenge him for their mates.
"Hmm."
Finally, the Alpha stopped. He couldn't care less about the stares other alphas were giving him, or the whines and moans from other mated and unmated omegas. He could already feel the unmated omegas wanting to mate with him through the bond.
He watched as His Omega sighed heavily, calming herself down. He knew that His Omega knew he was staring at her, but she kept ignoring him and somehow, that amused him.
Someone barged in and yelling from the front door. Shocked, His Omega's steak cluttered down to the floor. The Alpha was fuming. His nose blaring. He hated to know anyone who made His Omega scared. But soon, they heard it well.
"Help!" the Pack Member who barged in yelled. "Help! Please! Healer! HEALER!"
As fast as lightning, His Omega rose. Without waiting for dismissal, she ran towards the Pack member to help.

Keep The Home Fires Burning
This song is one of my favourite wartime songs and always brings a tear to my eye. We owe so much to that generation. I feel this song was very fitting for our beloved Easy Company
