here’s some of the items i made as rewards for a mission based around the album art guards by fishboy. they’re for, in order, wildfire druid, fairy barbarian, celebrity bard, and smooth-talking mobster. i have no idea how balanced these are lmao the party is level eight after that adventure but i trust us to balance them out as we go.

(if you listen to the album, which i highly recommend, you can tell me if you think these items fit the characters they’re sourced from!)

Fight Light: a hefty flashlight stamped with the initials L.H. Once per day, you can use it as a focus for your magic to convert your fire damage to radiant or lightning. Additionally, the target(s) must make a CON save against your spellcasting DC or be blinded for one round. Stunning!

Catcher’s Mitt: a mitt autographed by Bo Armstrong. If hit by a ranged attack, and the DM deems it appropriate, you can use your reaction to grab it, reducing the damage by 1D10 + DEX + level. If damage is reduced to zero, you can make a ranged attack with proficiency to throw it back. What a catch!

Dramaturgeon’s Amulet: a stethoscope engraved with Hugh Boone’s autograph. Upon casting a spell that restores hitpoints, you can put on a performance (DC 16) and, if it’s dramatic enough, it will not consume a spell slot. Heart- and show-stopping!

Fake Up Until You Make-Up: Seren-branded makeup that, once per day, allows you to convince people you did well at something you actually fucked up quite badly. Looks picture perfect!

So this is a cheat-sheet I’ve made for personal use to just have an overview over all the basic D&D rules. The first page covers most of the text rules. The color divides the sections more or less from one another.

The second page covers most of the important tables and stats, that you’ll probably need through the game. Hope you like it and find some use for this! Cheers.

i’ve been doing a lot of dnd stuff actually, if anyone is interested i can drop descriptions of some of the items and adventures i’ve made. i was scared to DM at first but it’s actually really fun!!

my mental illness stats switched around and i made a rough recreation of the metropolitan museum of art’s first floor in dungeonscrawl for a heist episode i have planned. if anyone wants the unmarked version, lmk! it’s a pretty big file, but if you need a museum map, it’s pretty useful. good luck printing it to scale though.

i was having a perfectly normal day and then realised that the first time magnus sees the phoenix fire gauntlet he high fives it and in the first scene we have with lup magnus high fives her. and now i'm going crazy

TAZ Paranatural AU! More under cut

Barry makes way too many vampire puns, which ironically makes Kravitz less inclined to think he's a monster, although it does annoy him.

Magnus is a werewolf and probably also a friend of the main group's; he and Barry cover for each other.

Merle is also here and he's in a vague Spender situation, except he also apparently doesn't believe in the supernatural. Yes, he's a whole entire spectral with healing & plant powers.

Merle's prosthetic arm is a tool possessed by the spirit Pan, who slowly makes the arm look wooden and treelike.

Merle is also possessed by a fragment of the Hunger, (a fragment containing John), a great evil spirit that he "defeated" by mistake. Now people and spirits come seeking his power, and he somehow turns a lot of their lives around.

Taako got teal spectral energy probably from unknowingly picking up a possessed object after Lup disappeared; something that gives him shapeshifty powers. Maybe a hat that's slowly becoming a wizard hat, although I didn't draw it here.

Lup's death happened when she was all alone somewhere in Refuge. Taako came in

(Also, Refuge is mostly just "Refuge" in name for now; I don't know if the time shenanigans are the same, but it might have something weird going on like being a fake/constructed town)

I don't know if the "Taako has to whack stuff" thing is actually true about the umbrella; maybe her unique situation allows Lup to help him by activating flame powers without connecting to him. This would, however, be observed by Barry and anyone else as Extremely Weird, because he's almost the opposite spectral energy color from the tool. Taako refuses to allow the umbrella to be taken and investigated, and it's probably circumstances out of his control that finally get it into Kravitz's hands.

for a WHILE i’ve wanted to write a short fic/comic (some of both) for each cycle of the stolen century. it would be called like ‘lucretia’s journal’ or ‘mission log’ or smth and the fic parts would have little illustrations too. they’d only be like 1k/1-2 page short just a little snapshot for each cycle, just of interesting bits of worlds they see, how the crew develops as people and as a group etc. definitely some funny ones in there but not limited to that. but that’s such a huge commitment and i hate starting things when i don’t know if i’ll finish them, so i’ve done some rough planning and thumbnails, but not been actually like working on it intentionally. it would be difficult enough to do 100 different things but it’s also easy to get carried away especially with writing dialogue for comics, and then realizing this would actually take so many pages that it’s not feasible lol. i do have a list of all the canon cycles that i’ve added a few to that i already have the concept for, but it’s still something i’d like to do someday, but probably not anytime soon.

the thing they dont tell you about listening to the adventure zone for the first time is that you'll miss them for the rest of your life. taako magnus and merle will be held in your heart wherever you go. when you binge it and get caught up to the eleventh hour in 2016 and you're a sophomore in high school shoving your sweatshirt sleeve in your mouth to stop yourself from laughing you have no idea that you'll be coming up on christmas 2022 and it's been six years and a goblin that looks like common and sounds like kelsey grammer will still make you laugh. you hear "are you naming your god damn wizard taako?" and that's it for you. you're in for life.
