I used to wonder why Captain Hook had a crocodile as his personal boogeyman. I mean, why did the writer pick this particular animal for that story ?
After all, Hook’s a pirate . They have no shortage of sea creatures in pirate folklore to choose from, like a kraken, or a giant eel or even sharks.
But then it dawned of me : a crocodile is amphibian .
It can follow you anywhere

If anything else, the Watcher situation just shows how Youtube f*cks over content creators and that looking for alternatives might be unavoidable for a lot of creators. Which is gonna be tough considering the Monopoly YouTube has on video hosting.
A bunch of youtube-based creators I follow have talked about that situation, some have tried some alternatives. Watcher is doing its own. It's a *Big* risk but I guess well have to see.

wait, no, no, his own self-loathing!
really, okay, serious predictable eaaaasy answer, it's gotta be gobby. whether that's norman or harry, it's the green goblin. just for the shakespearean drama of it all.
i think the thing is, before the green goblin - peter's villains were mostly villain-of-the-week guys that honestly weren't too big of a deal and peter always pulled through without much damage. like, okay, maybe they're difficult to take down but they don't leave a lasting impact on him. no psychological damage. except maybe ock because of his involvement with aunt may - which - honestly, is more comedy than anything.
i find myself skimming a lot of the spider-man antics in the older comics because i just don't find the villain-of-the-week stuff very interesting. i'm more interested in peter parker and his drama. and well - with norman and harry it finally does become peter parker's problem. not just a spider-man villain-of-the-week that peter triumphs over with some clever trick and a few punches - but a real villain that leaves lasting damage and inflicts real psychological torture.
goblin kills the girl peter loves.
goblin weeds out the ugliest corners of peter parker
goblin destroys peter's relationship with his closest friend
just - man, psychological warfare. real shakespearean drama. this is where spider-man comics elevated. where we finally bring all the real teen drama of peter parker's life colliding headfirst onto the theatrical stage of spider-man, in all those glorious tights.
