just read that "more women have bpd" because "bpd men are misdiagnosed with ptsd". LOL.
this shit is one reason I became antipsych. what is called bpd is clearly a trauma reaction that is interpreted differently based solely on gender stereotypes.
also men who act bpd as fuck are more likely to get diagnosed with npd or aspd if they're diagnosed with a cluster b personality disorder which is again gender stereotype: men are logical and not over emotional, so clearly he's an unfeeling sickopath.
google says bpd presents differently in men but the "different presentation" is literally just behavior in accordance with what is or isn't socially acceptable among men. although when it comes to "bpd men are more violent", I do have to wonder if violence itself is also differently interpreted based on gender in this scenario. in my experience, mental health issues involving violence are interpreted as psychosis in women even if the behavior is identical. I wouldn't just say "in my experience" either because look at assumptions made about female serial killers(ok regretting my new url already)

i actually want to talk seriously with someone about the time my mum corralled the whole family into ignoring me for a week with no explanation. all i want is for someone to say that was really fucked up of her to do. like imagine suddenly the people closest to you are just blanking you! suddenly youre a ghost in your own life and you cant understand why at all. especially as someone who already felt profoundly alienated from everyone around me and struggled deeply with social connections. eventually she stopped doing it and a few months later casually mentioned at breakfast it was 'cause i climbed out a window and went to the shops (i climbed out the window in a fit of pique 'cause she told me to put a hat on). and treated it like it was nothing. which is the general attitude i get toward this event if i mention it. like it was nothing at all. well actually it affected me deeply. thanks.

i believe in talk therapy but not for me because these bitches aren't even trying. they'll say stuff like 'youd be happier if you hung out with your friends' like no shit. that wouldve been useful advice when i was maybe 14 and actively scuttling my own social life. but now im 17/20/23 and you are not bringing anything to the table that i dont already know.
im so good at psychoanalysing myself. psychotherapists could never.
