Parallel’s Next Chapter

So as anyone who is reading this knows, I have not updated Parallel in a long while! And believe me, no one is more disapointed about that fact than me. (For different reasons, of course, but still.) It has just been an unfortunate mix of Life and Writers Block.

Anyways, I have most of the next chapter written out, Beginnning is done, as well as the End, and the Middle is just about done, but I just need to finish the end of the middle and find a way to suitably connect it to the End in a way that makes sense.

I feel very bad at the lack of content I have been posting, but I also don’t know how long it will be until I can whip my butt into shape and finish the chapter. (This isn’t even talking about the next chapter, where I have a general sense of what I want to happen, butnothing even resembaling an actual structure :/ )

There are a few thing I can do to help with this fact! And I would like anyone who feels so inclined to help me decide what I should do. 

Option A: I do nothing but keep trying to finish the chapter, posting it as soon as possible.

Option B: I post some of what I have of the next chapter as a kind of like, teaser. Maybe something like the first or last paragraph. (On Tumblr.)

Option C: I post what I have (On Tumblr) and ask for any ideas you guys have on how I should finish it! This would kind of spoil the chapter for you guys, before it was even finished, but the idea of having you all involved in the writing process just seems super fun for some reason! (Probably because you guys are all so awesome to interact with!)

And Option D: Whatever you come up with and sugest. 

Anyways, thank you all for being awesome, and make sure to send me your opinions! (However you so choose to do so. I honestly am not too sure of the best way to do that. Is there some kind of poll feature I have not yet found or something? Eh, I’m still kind of a noob at this.)

Sorry to bother you as I know you've had a rough time a couple of months ago and maybe even more of them happened in the mean time, but I was wondering whether you ever planned to update Parallel again? It's completely understandable if you didn't, and please don't take this as me criticizing you about it or anything, I was just wondering cause I really enjoyed your fic and whether you planned to continue it. Not offensive at all Anon! I’m suuuuper sorry I haven’t updated in a while, but I do plan on updating it again! I’ve just had an unfortunate mix of Life and Writers Block. I seriously almost have the next chapter done, but I just, for the life of me, cannot figure out how to finish it! I have the beginning, most of the middle, and the end all written and to a point I’m (Mostly) happy with, but the whole ‘finnishing the last part of the middle so that it connects to the end’ is what’s completely stumping me. Thank you so much for the message, and I’m really glad you enjoy the story enough and care enough to message me! It really means a lot!

Update

So, you have probably noticed, but I have not updated Parallel since last month.

But, believe it or not, I have a reason! 

At first, it was ‘cause I was re-writing and that was rough, cause the writing said no. But then we got an email from the school about what classes I can take. (I signed up for virtual school, a new thing for my school.) But you need to understand, that I signed up for this year's classes at the end of last year. And now I learn that half the classes I signed up for are not available so I’m having to completely re-think my plans.

(You know what? When I started this update, I told myself I was not going to rant. But I have now decided ‘ screw it’ and I am going to complain about my school system for a little. So if hearing a stranger complain about school is not your thing, stop here with my apologies and a promise to hopefully update before I lose my mind.)

So, ya see, I have three things I am considering as career paths. Artist, Psychologist, or chemist. I signed up for two art classes (which I can understand not being offered for virtual school, so that’s not the issue.) organic chem and psychology. Well the school decided to send out an email TWO WEEKS BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS telling us what classes we can take, of which, NO chem classes are offered. (Though they are offered for part-time virtual students, which makes no sense. It’s the same class, still virtual.) And then they decided to give us no way of signing up for said classes they did offer, didn’t tell us when to get our computers, didn’t tell us if/where/when orientation was, gives us no info on how anything works and I just arrrgh. 

So yeah. School starts in two weeks, I don’t know what classes I’m signed up for if any, two of which are most likely AP if everything goes through right, but I don’t know and no website or anything is telling me what projects I need to do before school starts. (Like, I’m hoping to be in AP Lang or Lit. THEY HAVE EXTRA PROJECTS THANK JUST THE SUMMER BOOK REPORT!

... You know, that helped. Looking back, I sound like one of those kids that has an excuse for everything and then does nothing that’s super annoying and I really hope I don’t come across as that.

Well, at least I’m not alone in that mindset ;) (It’s hard to believe it now, but up until eighth grade, school was my favorite part of the day. I literally sent a letter to my principal in second grade, requesting more homework and school on Saturdays. Yeah, I was that kid :/ )

Yes, I am alright, thanks for asking! (You really have made my day. I might have shed a few happy tears.) School is just being... Well, school is starting in two weeks and everything is already starting to go down the drain, so that’s taking up a lot of my time. I’ve been on a couple times, but only for about five minutes of escapism here and there. And I guess it never registered that, Hey! I should probably post a reason as to why no updates have come! 

Anywho, I will probably make an update post pretty soon.

Okay so...

This isn’t a parallel update, sadly enough, but I just got a new idea and it is consuming me? So i figured I could rant about it to you guys and then go and re-write chapter five once I can actually concentrate on it without getting sidetracked. Also, if you do not watch/have not watched Katekyo Hitman Reborn, this post will probably make little to no sense to you.

Okay, so I was reading Burn Your Wings by oWhiteKiwibird (Which is TOTALLY AWESOME!!! GO CHECK IT OUT! oh. and a bit of spoilers.) and in chapter 10, Izuku gets a ‘power up’ and he baisically uses his fire quirk (If you haven’t read Burn Your Wings, roll with it. He has fire.) as an X-Burner, and reading it I was like, oh! This sounds like an X-Burner! But then I got to the notes and she said, ‘ So, following the rasengan, Izuku now also has an X-burner. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ‘ And that just got me thinking about a KHR BNHA crossover. So here is where I spill ideas to you.

So the only thing I could really think of was maybe Tsuna being Midoriya’s father, (Besides the obvious dimension hopping or class feild trip kinda thing) So that got me thinking... What would Midoriya being the heir of the vongola be like? Like, I feel Tsuna wouldn’t want to be a distant father, but he also wouldn’t wnt his son growing up directly in the mafia, so I am just going to say that Tsuna kept him secret (but still legitamate) and they saw each other in summers and on holidays and all that jazz. So quirkless Izuku grew up being trainedin the summmers to be the heir of Vongola. But he still wants to be a hero. But he also cannot use flames, so he still gets OfA.

And thats about all I have for story building, but I was mostly planning who Izuku’s guardians would be... XD

Soo here that goes.

Izuku would be a sky, obviously.

Todoroki would be the cloud  Because, while he isn't Hibari, who is an extreeeme cloud stereotype, he has a hard time connecting with people and is often distant from society as a whole. I think the only people who he would really be close to and 'know' no matter how good and heroic he is, would be Izuku (as his sky and first friend) and Iida, whom he helped through a difficult time (a cloud gives way to storm) and I feel like, while he is nice to the others, I think he will always be somewhat of an outcast.

Uraraka is sun.  She is sunshine child. She was the first true friend of Izuku's and that really helped him grow and heal. Not much else to say.

Kirishima would be lightning.  He is the literal definition of someone who takes the damage for others. Like, seriously. How perfect.

And Bakugou. Because I had to include bakugou. Bakugou is mist.  "The Mist, one that cannot be captured" Also describes him pretty well. He wouldn't have to be very close to Izuku while still understanding and respecting each other. I think he will be closer to his sky than Mukuro (not Chrome) was though.

Tsuyu is the rain.  She's a very straightforward character with little tact who reminds me a lot of Yamamoto. She is a very calming presence as well and I can really imagine her using rain flames.

So yeah. If anyone would want to talk to me about this, please do. :D

Oh, thank god you're back. I was debating on whether I should write you an ask today because you just disappeared and I was growing worried. Anyways, I hope everything turns out alright and wish you luck on (re)writing that chapter!

So Sorry!!!

I just want to say, from the bottom of my heart, I’m sorry. Because I said that I would be updating the end of last week or the beginning of this week, and then everything that could go wrong went wrong.

My family went on vacation to see my grandparents, no biggy, I was planning on writing while I had nothing to do and then upload it. So I brougt my computer (where I write on google docs) and got there and... I forgot my charger. So my computer is dead, I can’t charge it, so I cant write on google docs. 

“well,” I thought, “I can writie it on my phone and just email it to myself later and post it when I get home!” So I do, and I’m writing, happy as can be, when my brother (whom I share the phone with) has it and deletes my writing app ‘because it took up too much space  and his (huge) game wasn’t running correctly because of it.’ And then we ended up staying a few extra days anyway so ugh. 

So I honestly have no clue when I will acctualy get Parallel updated, but hopefully it won’t be too long!

Oh, god, are you alright over there, rewriting that chapter over and over again? I'm sure it's amazing, and please just take a break once in a while and get some sleep too. You deserve it, so don't deprive yourself of it!

Awwww anon! Can I say you’re my favorite without actually knowing who you are? Whatever, you’re my new favorite. That’s so sweet of you to be concerned! But don’t worry! Any sleep I’m not getting is not because of writing Parallel! Writing Parallel is just a nice side effect. So worry not! (And thank you sooooo much! I hope you like my new chapter when I finish it!)

Why won't the words go?

Me, right now, re-writing chapter five of Parallel for the nth time. 

I was wondering when you'd be able to post a new chapter? Ik this might seen a bit insensitive (and I'm really sorry if you see it that way!), but I an just so fucking excited for you-know-who's entrance that I just.. I just can't. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since you posted the latest chapter. Anyways, I'm sorry for rambling so much, and I hope you have a good day and can't wait for a new chapter! ❤

Not insensitive at all Anon! I’m just super excited that people are enjoying it! I’m not too sure when I’m going to upload the next chapter, because right now I’m trying to work out when I’ll end, who’s POV to write it from, etc. 

It’s like I know what I want to write and where I want to end up, but I’m having trouble getting my thoughts together. So don’t worry, it won't be months! Just the end of this week or the beginning of next week! (Don’t take my word on it XD I am almost positive, but I would also hate to say this is 100% and then have something happen and I can’t post)

Really random question and I'm sorry, I just want to cheer up a certain author. Anyways, I wanted to ask have you read Never Look Back by Yullen22490? If you have, has it inspired you to right? What are your thoughts on it? Besides all of this, I wanted to say that the newest chapter just gave me so much life, you don't need to know. Not random at all! (And never apologize for sending me something.) I just read the latest chapter and if I can do anything at all to help cheer Yullen2240 up, I definitely would. As for having read Never Look Back? Yes! It’s honestly one of my favorites! I always get so happy when I see that it has updated! As for inspiring me to write, it has definitely done that. While yes, I do have many (many) inspirations for Parallel, it was definitely a story that inspired a ‘crazy’ Izuku. I had seen a lot of stories where he was being forced to be a villain or he was a wimp about it, but honestly to few where he was in control but also insane. And I just thought that was so cool? Of course, I have written him with slightly different insanity, but I have been trying really hard for it not to look like a copy. My thoughts... Well, form an analytical point of view, I really love the pacing, even if the first chapter feels a bit rushed, but Yullen was setting up a lot of stuff so that makes sense. Mine probably does as well. From a fangirl point of view? Aaagh! I love it so much! The character interactions are awesome and I love that they’ve infiltrated UA and are blackmailing Uraraka and how she doesn’t get the memo that the Inferno Duo is in charge and she’s getting blackmailed, not working with them and everyone just feels so alive and ahh! I honestly wish I could write this well.(Onto the rest)Aw, thanks! I’m glad you liked it! It’s always nice to know people enjoy it! 

Sorry for the long response! I really got into talking about Never Look Back and I probably rambled a bit, but I reeealy love that story.
