So yesterday in Sydney a guy walked into a shopping centre in Bondi and stabbed six people to death, injured eight others including a baby (the baby’s mother was unfortunately one of the fatalities).
He was shot by a policewoman, killing him and ending his spree.
He was apparently known to the police as being someone with a history of mental health issues.
Despite this being made clear, it seems there are various commentators in the US who are trying to make out that this was an act of an Islamic terrorist.
But I guess hate and intolerance are an easier sell than a story of someone failing to get the help they needed before a bunch of people who just happened to be out shopping pay the price for our systems failing.
