Just some poems and maybe some shorter writing styles I want to try. I'm going for a poem a day! Who knows how long I'll succeed! (Spoiler alert: I didn't make it a week. Sporadic poems, when inspiration hits!)
You’re a Shapeshifter who was wounded by a monster hunter, in a last ditch effort for survival you shifted into a normal household pet and were whisked away by a plain human unaware of the supernatural where you’ve lived for the past three years. You thought you were safe, but they’re back…
Like. Want to absolutely guarantee you don't accidently execute the one meant to save you over some misunderstanding? Make the chooser of the one the execution method. Want a built in anti-tyrant to your guillotine? Make it a chosen one picker.
Makes me think of a story of just. An objectively bad person being a chosen one, and being forced into a redemption arc by destiny (possibly with a side of 'The sword disapproves of being used to execute the unworthy, and this is it going on strike, no good heroes for you until you stop using me wrong-)
Anyone who tried to wield the legendary sword would instantly turn to dust. Your country uses this as a method of execution. Little did you know, you were the chosen one it was waiting for.
This is the betrayal of the Tsaritsa they've been hinting at from the start. Arle's asked Freminet to 'hide' something from her as a test to Lyney, implying she's testing his loyalties, which she is but not to her. She's testing Lyney's loyalties to his siblings- to see if he can do what she could not, and defy Father to protect them. To defy the Fatui to protect them.
Her plan is to have Lyney kill her (irredeemable monster that she obviously is, a cold and unfeeling father that could never just. Do this in any kind of sane or normal way-) take her throne, and destroy the House of Hearth, in its current incarnation at least.
She waited until now because she will not be as Egaria was, burdening her child with the weight of a prophecy- hell, looking at it through this lens, the Archon quest literally could not have gone better for her. Lyney secured a powerful ally in the Traveller, cemented his strong ties with Navia and aided the Hydro Sovereign himself, the gnosis is completely gone (and with it, the Fatui's main interest) but there's still a full power Archon equivalent in Fontaine for whatever disasters may come.
The only bit I'm not 100 on is the stuff with other Harbingers being up to stuff in Fontaine, but hey, maybe that's what she's dealing with while we try and hide Frem from her-
...Engage really had the worst luck possible with its release lol
Like. It's an anniversary game that got delayed past the anniversary due to circumstances entirely out of the companies hands, already off to a great start, but then the game just before it, the one developed alongside it as the game most recent in players minds, happened to bring in a ton of fans who'd never played the older games. Right before the anniversary game. That heavily plays on nostalgia and references to older games. To the point of having a ton of fan favourites return. Just after a bunch of new people joined the fanbase.
Like Engage got fucked over by the pandemic almost as bad as my life did lmaoo-
A witch cursed you with eternal happiness. You initially thought that she must have misspoken until you learn that your spouse, the love of your life, has died and it makes you feel happy.
The way you wrote the other students interacting with Furina just makes me imagine none of them quite putting together the dots between 'Furina de Fontaine, former Hydro Archon and renowned actress' and 'Furina, Faruzan's student who's blatantly down bad for her' which is both very cute, and gives me the mental image of Furina and Faruzan just casually gossiping about stuff from a hundred years ago and the surrounding students getting increasingly confused trying to figure out how old Furina is-
I love this idea it's got so much comedy potential!!
It's honestly kinda unsettling how easily Dove Cameron toon-ifies, like, some characters you see them in cartoon form and they look nothing like their actors, some they look waay too much like their actors, but nope, Dove Cameron just wanders into toon-ville and back out again and is very obviously Dove Cameron the entire time-
I'll never understand Azula-Zuko roleswaps obsession with having her be the one in that Agni Kai, like. If Zuko's the one their father favours, I can think of three different scenes that would've gotten her banished and permanently scarred off the top of my head, and that's just the ones we know about-
Yeah, she'd probably be a bit smarter about it if Zuko was Ozai's favourite, but if anything her typical sibling assholery would be elevated to outright hatred of Zuko-
(especially if Ursa's being mishandled and so Zuko is both their parents obvious favourite, Azula would overhear that murder conversation and go do it herself lmao-)
....she's called Father because the former Knave is called Mother-
i love that arlecchino is called "father" and "king" for no apparent reason because the former knave is referred to as "mother". like slay transmasc king. whatever gender you have going on i love you
