Jigen catches s/o wearing his hat and posing in front of a mirror.
I hope you don’t mind this one being short!
Hats and Poses
Pairing: Daisuke Jigen x Reader
Note: none
Tumblr media
Jigen stood leaned over against the door frame, a smile posed on his lips. You were admiring yourself in front of the full-view mirror, smiling at your reflection as you turned this way and that to catch your full view. The only difference to your usual look was the infamous hat of Jigen’s you had on your head, fingers tenderly holding the brim of the hat to twist it one way and then another to see the look it gave you.
You hadn’t even noticed Jigen’s presence, easily seen in the corner of the mirror, until he spoke up.
“What a view, darling.”
Your eyes tore away from the mirror, your reflection moving in unison as you looked to the doorway of the room you were in. Jigen continued to lean against the door frame, and his smile only grew in entertainment. Halted in your admiration, now you stood with an embarrassed look at being caught by your partner.
You pulled the hat down from your head as Jigen ventured into the room, your fingers carefully rubbing into the hat’s brim. “I only tried it on for a minute,” you told him. Jigen sidled up beside you in the view of the mirror, and took back his hat when you handed it to him.
“I know,” he replied, winking at you before placing his hat back on his head. He didn’t bother giving you the benefit of the doubt of him admiring the entirety of your silliness-as much as he enjoyed the sight of you flustered, he didn’t want to explain why you were flustered if Lupin or Goemon were to walk in.
“How long were you standing there?” you asked, watching as Jigen gave their reflections a considerate look before he turned back to you. He only hummed in reply, pressing a chaste kiss to your forehead, before taking your hands in his. He pulled you away from the mirror, leading you around the couch to head to the front door.
“Long enough,” he answered. “Let’s go get something to eat before the guys get back- you’ve admired yourself long enough, time for me to have a go.”

Don’t worry about being late with requests or anything! It’s normal to get busy with stuff! Make sure to take breaks every once in a while, ok? ^^
I will, and thank you!
I'm gonna try and post at least once a week for now- I always have weekends to try and work on replies, too.

Hi! If you have time, I’m really curious on your take on what it would be it be like if Fujiko fell in love? Specifically with someone who doesn’t even have access to any priceless items or isn’t rich or anything? Thanks so much!
Alright, so I went with headcanons for this one. I like this idea? Because it's Fujiko, and you'd expect she'd go after materialistic folks with lots of money, so this not being the case definitely puts a spin on her- I didn't know where to go with this though, or if this was what you had in mind, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless
Fujiko with a Non-Rich S/o
Pairing: Fujiko Mine x Reader
Note: None
Tumblr media
The first time you two meet is likely nowhere fancy or expensive. Chances are it was in the middle of a heist, or you just happened to bump into one another and spark each other's interest.
You're not rich or fancy looking, the fact Fujiko had any kind of interest in you was bizarre to her, and Lupin and his gang. While you two are getting closer, becoming friends and soon more Lupin and the gang are certain it's a trap but after a while, it's obvious of Fujiko's genuine interest in you.
This is about you and Fujiko though, so whatever Lupin and the guys think doesn't matter to you two.
You're not rich or have any priceless heirlooms or objects that are worth a fortune, but that doesn't matter to Fujiko. In fact she likely spoils you with gifts she knows you'll love, and won't take her gifts being declined because of how expensive they are even if she stole them for you. Part of it is because you feel bad that you can't spoil her in return like she does to you, but understand that she adores the gifts you give her, homemade or spent on after saving up a lot of money.
She doesn't like cheap stuff, and everyone knows when she was with Lupin (or in some form of "relationship" with him) that she would sway him into getting her some priceless jewel, and if it wasn't what she expected she usually wouldn't accept it. But you though? You could give her some wild flowers you picked out from a meadow and she'd take good care in keeping them alive. Your gifts are special to her, and she makes sure you know if, too.
You likely know her occupation of being a thief (or don't, depending if she let you in on it or kept it quiet and in the dark), and you still accept her for it? Definitely makes her relationship with you easier and without big secrets like that in between you. If she hadn't told you, you'd probably find out eventually, since you didn't know what her job was otherwise and how she had so much money-
Dates! Expensive, or at least very nice or fancy dates. Formal dinner, the arts, the theater- money is hardly a problem, and the time for it is hardly one either.
Probably should've mentioned this earlier but there's a good chance that at first she suspected you probably had some rich grandparent or something and that's why she was attracted to you out of nowhere, but whether that's the case or not isn't really important-
You've likely heard about Fujiko's past flings with folks that were rich, so sometimes you're confused that you're dating a rich-loving babe and you're not that rich-possessing type. But that's cool; just like opposites can attract, this may go for finances and riches as well.
You saved up as much money as you could and bought Fujiko this fancy diamond necklace for your anniversary of maybe three or four years. She wears it everywhere- except for in the middle of heists. She keeps the necklace on her, but doesn’t want it to break or get stolen so she keeps it in a safe spot.

could i request headcanons for lupin with an s/o who doesn’t seem like it at first, but is actually pretty touch starved?
Here we go- sorry it's short? I didn't know where to go with this-
Lupin with a Touch-Starved S/o
Pairing: Arsène Lupin iii x Reader
Note: none
Tumblr media
Lupin is touchy with everybody, it doesn't matter who you are or where: the waist, the shoulders, ruffling someone's hair, slapping or kicking someone's ass or shins, etc.
So obviously, you're no exception to his touching, unless you tell him you don't want to be touched in certain areas, which he'll respect. Not that you've seemed to mind his (pg) physical affection, but he definitely notices that sometimes you'll lean in to his affectionate gestures, and he's not shy to tease you for it.
At first he doesn’t think much of it-most people enjoy affection from people they like, right?-but after taking note of the differences between you and everyone (not as in, whether or not he was hit or something for initiating affection), he figures something is up. After a while (not that long) he'll bring up being touch-starved to you. It takes a little interrogating before you relent and tell him you are, confirming it.
After that he's less likely to think about grabbing your hand and holding it or squeezing it in comfort, hugging you even when it wasn't the time to do so, or anything really.
At a formal dinner party? Hand-holding under the table and sweet kisses are bound to occur. Hanging out with the guys or and Fujiko? Those plus hugging or holding onto each other. In the middle of a chase from the cops or ol' Pops? Don't expect him not to hug you close as you're running and getting back in the vehicle or him playfully kissing you in the heat of the moment.
You're not as affectionate as Lupin can be, so the times when you lean in and willingly accept his gestures are sweet, but when you actually take his hand or initiate affection first? It's raw sugar to him- absolutely sweet.
Lupin melts at your affectionate gestures. He's not even subtle about it.
It doesn't matter how long the guys or Fujiko have known you- when your and Lupin's affectionate couple gestures are going on one or all of them are gonna let you know to get a room.
Lupin is respectful of your boundaries, so he won't mind going slow at first. It was already mentioned he melts when you initiate physical contact, but seriously, he melts. Whatever smile he had on before is bigger now, and he is happily reciprocating your contact no matter where you are.
You could be uneasy at a museum because something is off and Lupin will hug you back when you hug first. You both could be talking to two different people right beside each other and hold each other's hands for the warmth and comfort. Frick, you could be in the middle of a conversation and Lupin will see the unease or lonely look you may have on for a second and just assault you with physical affection.
Did he interrupt a conversation? Yeah, so what? His beloved partner looked like she needed the extra boost.
And after a long day, and everyone's retiring to their rooms or taking it easy, you two plopping down on the couch to cuddle and relax will not be postponed just because Jigen said to get a room again.
Let's be honest; some things Lupin can chalk up to being fixed with a hug or something. Stressed? Frustrated? On the brink of tears? Either he'll notice first and initiate the affection, or you'll find him and initiate it first.

How about fluff prompt 11 with Zenigata? Thanks in advance!
Frick I'm sorry this is late the past two-something weeks have left me with little time to work on requests- please enjoy this uncertainty of a fic.
Proud
Pairing: Koichi Zenigata x Reader
Prompt: “I’m so proud of you.”
Note: none
Tumblr media
"I'm so proud of you."
Zenigata blinked at your words with wide eyes. You always had a way of rendering him speechless-whether it be with your words, or your gestures, or anything really. He could be in the middle of a rant about Lupin iii's most-recent scheme and a single thing from you could have him slowing to mumbling and then nothing at all.
After a long day of work for the both of you you two laid on your shared bed, your back against the mattress while Zenigata had his head rested on your chest, saying how he was so close to finally catching Lupin and his gang for certain that time, and how his boss wouldn't let him hear the end of it when he reported they got away. It was nothing new, but hearing him say he was sure he had them, they played right into his hands and got away just at the last second; to anyone else it would've been another failed attempt, but to you, it was another chance taken and experienced.
"Proud of me, huh?" Zenigata repeated, his voice soft as he relaxed the side of his head against you. His hat was abandoned beside him on the covers as your fingers ran through the thin strands of his hair. "Still got away, and you're proud of me.."
Nothing in his tone spoke doubt or insecurity to you- you could tell he was registering it slowly, thinking it over with the rest of his day.
"Of course I would be," you tell him gently. "Even if he got away, you're the only one to have ever gotten him or anyone else of his troop behind a set of bars or in a pair of cuffs as many times as you have. You've seen his tricks and techniques to the point you probably have them by memory- and I wouldn't be surprised if you could act them out, too."
"Me? Act like a criminal?" Zenigata asks. He laughs, shaking his head. "Not a chance."
"It's a matter of could, not would." You smile softly, trailing your finger behind the curve of his ear before kissing his forehead. "I couldn't fathom the idea of you being a criminal-there is far too much justice in your blood to waste it on criminal activity, afterall."
"You sure know how to butter up an old man, don't you," you hear Zenigata say with a chuckle, and you hum in reply as he looks up at you and kisses the tip of your nose. "I'm certain I can nab Lupin right now, hearing you."
"Not right now, you're not," you advise. "If you don't sleep, you'll be focused on staying awake tomorrow and not going after Lupin. So change out of that uniform, would you, darling?"
"Yeah yeah, I'll do that," Zenigata says with a sigh. He pushes himself up with a grunt, but before he could do anything else you peck his lips. His eyes look to yours as he sees the smile you wore, one of his own growing in response. He mumbles I love you to you before moving off the bed to change into comfortable clothes, leaving you to reminisce in the words and the warm bubbly feeling that filled you.

hi, could you do a romantic headcanon about Daisuke Jigen 😍from- Lupin the 3rd (where they have their First Date/First Kiss and even the reader getting embarrassed after jigen leaves a hickey (a love bite) on her neck and she tries to hide it from her friends) there's nothing sexual about a hickey i looked it up!
👀 big sigh I'm sorry but this is the last time Alright, let’s get to this then. I wasn’t exactly sure where to go with this, so hopefully this suffices? 📻
Jigen with some Triple Firsts
Pairing: Daisuke Jigen x Reader
Note: None
Tumblr media
First Date
I don’t take Jigen as the type to go on random dates with anyone he hasn’t known long enough or he hasn’t met or seen before (so blind dates would likely be a no-show for him), so the only way you would be able to go out, or even date him would be if you were one of the gang, and you two already had a mutual interest in each other that both were somewhat aware of. If the two of you had no contact with each other and fell head over heels for each other on first sight (like out in public, or you had been in the wrong place at the wrong time and the gang had decided to help you to a safer location), it had to be a mutual pinning obvious to both of you- unless Jigen was already feeling his luck that day.
So the fact you even scored him as a date could be considered an accomplishment of itself. Now anyway-
The date itself would likely be simple, being a first date and all. He gives you some flowers on the way out, compliments the outfit you decided to wear out, and takes you out to a local restaurant that was about five minutes away from the hideout. Not too far in case you guys had to head back in a hurry, and not too close so that Lupin and Goemon could show up uninvited.
Jigen long expected the date would go awkward (even if he knew you for a good amount of time), but he has a clear look of pleasant surprise on his face as you two conversed the entire time. At first, both of your attentions would probably be divided to make sure your friends weren’t spying on you two or Inspector Zenigata wasn’t taking his rounds in your area, but after a bit it’s just on the two of you.
Sometimes it would revolve around some of the recent heists and how the other had done great on their part of it; then it would swirve to some of the moments the two shared long before they even thought about giving dating each other a try. You’ve heard him laugh and seen him smile countless times, but there was something pleasant seeing him laugh and smile in these moments, a warm fuzzy feeling growing inside that you couldn’t help but smile at.
And then when he’d tilt his head back as a hearty laugh left him, and you can see his closed eyes that were usually hidden beneath his hat? You couldn’t help but swoon in content; that’s some top-tier Jigen stuff.
“I don’t know why I didn’t ask you out sooner.” The words that slip out your lips makes your face burn from embarrassment. It makes Jigen’s face burn in surprise. You’re both at a loss of words.
Then Jigen gives a chortle, his hat bobbing as he nods in agreement. “Ditto.”
After another hour of talking, the two of you finish your food and pay before heading out.
You guys planned taking a stroll in the park close to the hideout, but turns out it started raining midway through your date, so a rain check is taken for another day. Neither of you had an umbrella though, plus you walked, so you ended up calling Lupin to give you a ride back.
As soon as you both saw the yellow fiat pull up and a grin on Lupin’s face, it was pretty clear that maybe walking in the rain would’ve been a better option than to listen to Lupin ask about the date and what a bunch of love birds you two are.
First Kiss
So the first date? Goes great.
Don’t expect a kiss though.
The first kiss comes out of nowhere; probably after a successful heist and everyone is in the midst of celebrating.
Alcohol is already being set out and poured into glasses, laughs exchanged and chatter tossing between the four of you. While your glasses clink with one another in toasts, remarks of everyone's contributions to the heist passed around.
It's around when Jigen gets up to grab some more alcohol from the kitchen, when you playfully tug on his sleeve before kissing him, a giggled "thank you" leaving you as you pull your touch away. You don’t even seem to realize what you did, just downing the rest bit of liquid in your glass.
Jigen is flustered and surprised by the gesture; Lupin is laughing his ass off hysterically; and Goemon is confused, just tuning in from his thoughts.
“I- uhm-” Jigen is flabbergasted, and is trying to fight back a smile since Lupin would get even more off his rockers.
Later that night when everyone is retiring to their rooms Jigen pulls you aside, wanting to talk about you kissing him. He stops you before you could start apologizing, saying he didn't mind. He kisses you to make up for him not kissing back and being startled earlier.
First Hickey (decided to go the first hickey in general route, apologies-)
This happens later- later later, maybe after a year or two and your relationship is going strong and well. It's possible you guys started becoming more affectionate around half a year to a year into your relationship, but anything growing intimate was a level both of you were willing to go to once comfortable.
You two were likely messing around while everyone else was gone.
It's one of those days when you two are at the hideout on your own, probably watching a show on the couch while your and Jigen's arms were wrapped around each other. The attention on the television is diverted when you feel Jigen's board tickle your neck, giggling as he presses light kisses down from your cheek to your jaw to your neck.
You guys are messing around, you're sitting close beside him as you feel small licks and nips at your neck.
If it’s your first hickey ever, it’s likely as unexpected as it was sore. You let out a yelp when he bites down on you, hard. "Fuck-" “Sorry, sorry.”
After taking a look of the hickey and concluding it wasn’t too severe, you got a washcloth dampened by cold water and pressed it against the hickey to try and lighten the colour/irritation. Jigen doesn’t understand while you’re smiling as you were during the process, thinking that it- being your first time- so when he asks, he isn’t sure how to respond when you tell him the gesture, despite the soreness, made you feel alive.
He decides to tip his hat to that, an assured smile growing on his lips before he continues to help. You get him back eventually though, and Jigen’s face is so red and trying to restrain the sound growling in his throat that by the time anyone else notices he’s already pushed it down. He’s really trying to glare at you, but the grin you’re wearing at knowing you were the cause of his display made it difficult, since he’s trying to hide his own smile.
Throughout the day and the next week hiding the hickeys from prying eyes without acting as if they were hiding something was an interesting feat on its own; you were found out eventually though, and it’s a surprise Lupin didn’t get shot from how loud he was upon the discovery.
‘Embarrassed’ was an understatement- you were shushing Lupin the entire time with a flustered look and trying to tell Jigen that shooting his pal wasn’t going to get the embarrassment away.
Goemon hasn’t said anything yet, so you’re thinking he doesn’t know- you hope so, at least.
After a while though, the love marks are less hidden, and some show up in more noticeable areas on both of you. It’s almost a competition.

The headcanons were so cute! Thanks again! I really wish this blog got more attention ‘cause all the content here is great!
Ahh I’m so glad you liked the headcanons, and no problem! And that’s very sweet of you to say :) not having as much attention as the bigger blogs has its advantages though- it means I don’t have as many asks piling up, so I can get out more content quickly!
Don’t hesitate to send in (more) requests if you have any!

Could I request some separate headcanons of lupin and goemon with a shy and artistic s/o? Like the kind who has their own sketchbook w/ art but can’t help but doodle on any scrap of paper? Thank u!
I mean, can you blame s/o though? Sometimes you’ve just gotta let your hand throw up all your doodles on random papers- anyway, these were fun to write headcanons for, so I hope you like them! 📻
Lupin and Goemon (sep) with a Shy-&-Artistic S/o
Pairing: Arsène Lupin iii x Reader; Goemon Ishikawa x Reader
Note: Some cursing.
Tumblr media
Lupin finds scraps of paper with your doodles on them around the hideouts all the time, and just loves them. At some point he ends up buying a folder for you to keep all the loose doodles; some of them have been hung up on the fridges in all the hideouts. He’s even kept a couple of them to himself, some doodles folded carefully and in his pocket or kept safely away in a suitcase.
You think it’s embarrassing sometimes, and have stolen back some of your doodles, but Lupin really enjoys seeing your artwork and having it up for everyone else to see.
He’s totally snooped through your sketchbook a couple hundred times, and everytime he says that he adores your art. Even the art that you think is bad or years old.
On that note he becomes devastated if he sees or finds one of your doodles in the trash. He acts like he’s been betrayed, and no amount of claiming that you messed up or you were redoing it is going to make him feel otherwise.
“How could you, (y/n)? Your artwork is your baby! How could you throw away your own baby?”
You once joked that you should probably dump your entire sketchbook in response to that, and Lupin was so offended-
It’s as endearing as it is ridiculous.
He sometimes asks if you could draw some stuff for him, but doesn’t push you to (is actually surprised when you do draw something for him- expect a bunch of hugs and kisses from him, and even some money from him for the “commission”). He loves seeing all the stuff you draw and come up with, finding bits and pieces of you in every single piece. He’s saved all of the birthday cards you’ve drawn him from over the years.
Lupin has drawn some stuff for you too, but he claims yours are better.
He won’t admit it, but he thought he was gonna cry once when he found some of the doodles he gave you pasted to one of the pages of your sketchbook.
Gets you art supplies for your birthday and on giving holidays. Your quiet-squealing at the set of new pencils or pens, or at the new sketchbook you’ve been talking about for the past couple months. Who knows if Lupin bought it or stole it for you- it’s for him to know, and no one else to know about.
Likely stole them.
Unless it’s a special kind or brand, which then he buys the best condition he can for you.
Lupin talks about your artwork quite a bit, and whenever he meets someone new and you’re with him, he tells them all about your amazing work. Your face gets hot from embarrassment and you want to tell him to stop but all that comes out is a soft whine.
Your shyness about your artwork and just everything- he loves it. He doesn’t take advantage of it, not even close; he does tease the hell out of you though, watching your face grow warm as you shyly tell him to stop teasing him. He eases up quickly though when you begin curling into a ball or get up to leave the situation, apologies spilling from him as he wraps his arms around you and pulls you close to snuggle with you.
There are times where your shyness will be deemed inconvenient from others, usually when you and Lupin are ordering at some restaurant or cafe and your stammering so much or are talking so quietly the waiter/ress is growing impatient with you, that Lupin will order for you to get the waiter/ress on their way and you to relax. He’s usually reassuring you that it’s fine and you weren’t taking up a lot of time, to get irritated about the impatience of others.
Thankfully, no one’s made any negative comments about your art, because if someone did they would be having to answer to Lupin’s fists.
Tumblr media
Unlike Lupin, Goemon is respectful of your privacy and leaves your sketchbook untouched unless given explicit permission.
Usually.
There are a couple occasions where he would find your sketchbook unattended and in the open, and flip through some of the pages for a peak.
Goemon loves your art, and while he isn’t as loud with his praise as Lupin is, he still shows it in small ways. He compliments your work, comments positively on the care you take with your art; you’ve seen his eyes widen a couple times whenever he would come up to an art piece you spent a considerable amount of time on and were proud of.
He’s probably stolen bought you drawing supplies before, either because he’d suspect you were running low or he came across some. He loves the look of surprised gratitude you give him, already opening the package they came in to try them out.
He’s found some of your doodles on loose scraps of paper, and he returns them to you even though he wants to keep them in a safe spot for him to look over in memory of you, especially if you have to be gone from each other for an uncertain amount of time. He’s always happy when you say he can keep some of them though; he takes special care in not getting wrinkles or folds on the papers.
Doesn’t understand when you throw away some of your art. He doesn’t react anywhere near how Lupin did, but he does ask why you would throw your work away. To him, it’s art you can look back on and see the improvement you’ve made over time.
Goemon hasn’t thought of ever asking if you could draw something for him; he adores seeing the artwork you come up with with your own hands and mind. He keeps any and all pieces (random doodles and cards and all) in as best condition he can, and has thought about buying a folder for himself and you to hold the work the loose doodles in so you wouldn’t lose them around the hideouts and whenever out and about.
When he’s meditating you’ll sit near him and doodle in your sketchbook or on loose paper. It took a bit for him to get used to the scrapes of your drawing tool on the paper or page that would audibly wrinkle, but it soon became part of the white noise to aid him into his meditative state. Even if it hadn’t, he didn’t feel the need to ask you to leave; if anything, he much preferred the sound of a pencil or pen and paper to Lupin or Jigen startling him and being loud around the hideout.
Along with your artistic talent is your shyness, both of which Goemon cherished. He doesn’t mind ordering or talking to someone for you, but you probably have to ask him to do this for a while before it becomes second nature to him. He knows your shell is a hard one to crack (he was surprised to have been let in so easily), but he thinks there will be a time where you feel comfortable enough to ask or be able to talk on your own, which does happen sometimes.
Most times though this ends in a stuttering mess or your voice too quiet to be heard, where then Goemon will take one for the team and help you without you asking.
If someone is giving you bad vibes in response to your shyness, just let Goemon know, he’ll take care of it, along with anyone else who wants to start issues. If it’s because you're shy and too quiet, he can come to some understanding as to why someone would be impatient (it’s not excusable in any form though), but if it’s something to do with your artwork?
Goemon’s never heard of such bullshit. He can’t even comprehend why a random stranger would diss your artwork, let alone how they even got a hold of any of it to be able to give an opinion (you got antsy and irritated even when one of the guys looks through your sketchbook without permission). Forget hands being thrown- Zantetsuken is being taken out for a spin.
It’s times like these where Goemon tries to stay close to you when out and about. Affection is a gesture he finds to be private and intimate, but holding hands he does not mind, since he can help you then and there if needed. Sometimes a peck is given, but you’re both pretty shy when it comes to it, so it’s a rare occurrence.
Goemon doesn’t tease you a whole lot; why have you uncomfortable or embarrassed just because it would amuse him? Sure, he has his times of fun, but these are when you are able to return in the same manner.
He does embarrass you unintentionally sometimes though, whenever he would find a doodle of you two together, showing it to you to see your face contort in embarrassment. He doesn’t even know what’s embarrassing you at those times- he asks if you have a bad stomach, and you just shake your head because trying to explain to your samurai boyfriend that a doodle you intentionally drew of him and you cuddled up together was what was making you feel giddy, was not on your list of priorities.
You love him though, and Goemon’s just confused as you hug him and shake your head, deflecting any questions of your well-being he asks you in regards to your display or the doodle as he hugs back.

I would like to request a oneshot for a lupin x reader who's gf is a total history nerd and knows almost everything about history. You could write some headcannons for this instead if you want to.
I have a friend who is a history buff. He told me about this war that took place in Australia against emus once; it was wild. Anyway, I went with headcanons, since I feel like I could get more from that with something pretty broad. I hope you enjoy.🎩📻
Lupin with a History Nerd Girlfriend
Pairing: Arsène Lupin iii x Reader
Note: Some cursing.
Tumblr media
First off, all I'm gonna say is that if you've never called Lupin iii an idiot for anything, no matter how stupid or genius, you're lying.
He's an idiot, but he's totally into history. Most likely history or background pertaining to whatever place he's going to or an item he's gonna steal, but it's history knowledge nonetheless. Source: the random trivia he's given on screen.
So him getting with a gal that's also into history would probably be an absolute win. Even if what she knows or is rambling about has no connection to what they're stealing or that he knows, he'll listen. And when you're gushing about a piece of history that you enjoy in particular, he's just smiling as he watches your face light up with happiness, hearts in his eyes. These are some of his favorite moments- definitely a holder in his Top Ten.
There are absolutely times where when you guys are discussing an event or time period you're both pretty invested in, you'll sometimes interrupt each other or finish each other's sentences, just euphoric that the other is keeping up with them and is just as invested. Jigen and Goemon have seen this plenty of times (Fujiko has seen this maybe a couple times, and while I believe she's pretty good with history too, she probably tries to block you guys out 'cause you two will get so annoying-), and they'll either have no idea what's going on or what your both talking about and is learning random shit from your guys' high, or will know what you're talking about but not join in because they'll be left in the wind (Goemon once tried to add in his own knowledge about some topic of a time period in Japan, and he didn't get more than a word in before being interrupted. Jigen just has no patience or interest in joining, unless it's like guns or something).
Lupin probably watches as many documentaries as he does cartoons. Which is probably a lot, to be honest. You two have this kind of ritual where once a month you plop down on the couch and watch a randomly selected documentary. Neither of you check the summary, hardly skim the title; just click on it and hope you catch on to what the documentary's about. It's funny, because sometimes you will start to figure the topic of it is one thing and then be hit with the actual main topic, and then you guys actually check the summary-
“They’re talking about aliens a lot in this for some reason” “check the summary”
I'm just gonna say, if you were a quiet or nervous individual before you met Lupin, you probably still are, but it's sometimes forgotten about since you're really talkative when it comes to history, and that's usually what's spilling from your lips because of Lupin and your discussions.
Lupin absolutely adores you and everything about you, but you being a history nerd is definitely one of his favorite parts. And when you're gone, he's just complaining to Jigen or Goemon about wanting to discuss some random history event with you, but you're gone, so he's just gonna complain. They try talking history nerd with him but? It's just not the same. Even if they're managing to keep up with him and they're able to see him get excited talking as he does with you, it's just not the same.
The same goes for you, but sometimes you’ll get one of them too invested and then the two of you just start getting louder and louder (it’s usually Jigen that ends up this way, although Goemon has had his fair share).
Dates obviously vary, but a lot of them have some kind of history as a main factor of the fun. Sometimes you'll tour around (one time in France, you guys tried this challenge to try and see how many castles you could check out in a span of two days, and ended up staying up those entire two days, so when you got back to the hideout it was lights out for you two for a while), sometimes it's dates to the museum, sometimes it's stay-at-home-and-watch-documentaries, go out to the theater and watch a documentary there- like I recalled, it varies.
There are times when you both will get into heated debates, even yelling matches, and Jigen and Goemon have to plug their ears/get out of the hideout/tell you both to shut up and tone it down because it can get annoying. And more often than not, it's about something complete and utterly useless, just nonsense. One time you were arguing about how to pronounce the name right of some old painter from like the 1400s, and you were grinning smugly at a couple internet searches later because it turned out you were the one pronouncing it right.
Oh don't worry, he got you back for like the next week and a half, correcting any word or information you said just the slightest out of what was factual, and would even search up the actual information online to just show the page to you on his phone.
You guys have so many not-so-inside jokes, it's not even funny-
"Fuck I dropped my phone on my face" "Hey now, Isaac discovered gravity using that trick"
"You're gonna lose your head when you see this" "So did some of the royal family in 1790 France"
Nicknames, terms of endearment- like the dates, they vary. "Babe," "honey," and "love" are thrown around a lot. "Bonnie and Clyde" were tossed around a bit, too.
You knew the infamous duo's history was far different from what was shown on the big screens, but you both found it endearing in a way.
Lupin’s tried his “sweet historophile” (yes, that’s actually a word look it up) on you, and you like it? You cracked a smile the first couple times he used it, so he figures you liked.
Some of the best times you and Lupin share together are when you're swapping random trivia and history stories you learned over the years or an hour ago. Goemon walked into the kitchen one afternoon to find you both wheezing at the table, just cackling like absolute madmen. Turns out it was because one time in his reign, Napoleon got attacked by a hurdle of domestic rabbits that were supposed to be wild, and were supposed to be used for a hunt to celebrate (assumedly, most apparently agree on this) his signing of the Treaty of Tilsit.
Not necessarily a history fact, but you two were looking up the history of grapes one other time, and learned that grapes can light on fire when in an on microwave. It's simple to say that when Jigen and Goemon came back from a grocery run to find the grapes missing and a bunch of burns in the microwave (if it's even presumably functional by then), they weren't too thrilled to learn the newly learned fact of the day.
"Here's a fact of the day for ya: Anymore microwaving grapes can and will decrease both of your lifetimes."

omg I just wanted to say that the scenario was so good!!! It was so well-written and it was just so fun to read thru!! Thank you so much!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was fun to read over myself as it was actually writing it; I’ll be honest, I’m thinking you’re talking about the Lupin fic with the heist? If not I’m sorry-
Waking up about four hours later wasn't ideal, but I'm glad the scenario was sent out and enjoyed-
If you ever want to send in (more) requests, go ahead!

Hi there! Could I request a lupin x reader with the prompt “You’re the only thing that matters.”? Thank you in advance!!
I’m sorry, I didn’t know where to go with this- I hope you do not mind this being more heist-oriented. Nonetheless, this was fun to write. And of course, Happy (-1 last minute for me-) Valentine’s Day. 🎩🎀
The True Gem of the Bunch
Pairing: Arsène Lupin iii x Reader
Prompt: “You’re the only thing that matters.”

Tumblr media
Everything had been going to plan at first.
Getting into the museum was a piece of cake- posing as security guards was a performance that took little effort. The cameras had already been dealt with (courtesy of one of the many gadgets Lupin possessed), and letting other security guards know that there was a malfunction with the cameras got rid of them quickly. And proceeding to the prize of the heist- a sapphire gemstone, belonging to one of the late ladies of the high-class in the 1800s- was a walk in the park. With the fiat 500 in the front lawn beneath one of the second-floor windows, you kept lookout on the main room’s first floor while Lupin and Jigen ascended the stairs to the second floor, where set before the center wall was the targeted gem. And everything had been going smoothly.
Obtaining the gem was easy. Keeping possession of it without getting caught was the fuck-up in the equation.
“Shit,” Jigen mumbled.
Lupin raised an eyebrow at his companion’s interjection. “What?”
Jigen pointed to the display case. Lupin squinted his eyes, unsure about what he was pointing at before noticing the two blinking lights on the front legs, a word of profanity slipping from him too. Motion Sensors.
On the bottom floor, you stood around keeping watch in the main room, eying the windows and then the cameras for when their blinking lights would come on, signalling the cameras were online again. You heard profanity flung around up the staircase and turned around to look up. The museum's main room was an open space with a half-second floor visible to those in its bottom space. Two staircases aligned the left and right walls, curving and going up with the interior wall before it stopped at the half-second floor. The railing on the outside part of the stairwells connected with the second-floor's balcony, ensuring safety visitors wouldn't fall off just by walking backwards (everyone knows how kids are). You couldn't see the second-floor, but you heard that along with the gem, there were two massive paintings adorning its wall, with varying smaller paintings adorning the other walls. It must look amazing when the room was lit with sunlight.
"Everything alright up there?" You called up.
A response was prolonged with more profanity before Lupin called back. "We got the gem, but the case had motion sensors."
Was he serious?
"Of course it'd have motion sensors! How could you think otherwise?"
"I didn't think otherwise!" Lupin walked over to the balcony, gesturing over to the display case as he looked at you. "I just didn't think it'd be on the display case's legs."
"But where else would it be then?" Jigen asked, the glass case he just held already placed back on the display holder.
Lupin groaned, turning his attention to Jigen. "Oh, I don't know, Jigen, maybe on the tiny holder the gem itself was on?"
"So one of those things that sets an alarm off when the proper weight of the gem is different?"
Lupin responded with exasperation. "Exactly!"
The doors to the museum swung open with a harsh slam against the wall. You looked toward the doors just as Jigen joined Lupin by the balcony, a string of ‘crap’s orchestrating upon seeing the local police, with well-known Inspector Zenigata front and center. The man’s eyes shifted between the three of you, the grin he had on growing.
“Look, what we have here- Lupin stealing the gemstone of late Lady what's-her-name with his gang, and- wait, who are you?”
Zenigata’s monologue cut short as he took a double take of you. You were a new face to him. Despite having known and worked with the gang for years, it was only recently you would appear with the gang as part of it.
Lupin’s eyes widened as he realized the debacle you could fall into. He knew you could get yourself out of there, but another instinct kicked in as he tossed Jigen the gem to hold onto before readying the grappling-hook gadget he had.
“(Y/n)!”
You whipped your head around and looked up at the balcony, watching as Lupin pulled himself onto the balcony with a grunt, brushing himself off before standing up. He raised his arm up, aiming the mini gadget on his wrist to one of the gaps in between the cieling’s beams. Upon finding an opening that wouldn’t drop him, he fired the grappling-hook. The hook fired forward, passing through the target opening before dropping, swinging under and through the beam’s gap again before Lupin pulled the wire, ensuring it would hold.
“Lupin! You’re under arrest!” Zenigata called out.
Lupin’s attention left the wire, fixing on Zenigata, and then you. Despite the circumstances, he had on a grin. “Sorry, Pops, but not today!”
“What the hell are you doing?” Jigen gawked, his expression matching the same one you had. All eyes were on Lupin as he gave the wire a hopeful tug before leaping off the balcony.
A gasp escaped you as you watched Lupin swing from the wire, curving with the stairs before looping toward you, his free arm drawing out from his body.
“Hold on!” Lupin shouted. You hardly had time to register what he meant as he hooked his arm firmly around your waist and pulled you into the air with him. Your arms latched around his neck tightly, the floor growing distant as you guys swung with the stairs on the opposite side. The breath in your throat hitched when your shoes grazed the banister, the feeling disappearing and reappearing as you and Lupin landed on the balcony. You let out a gasp as you landed in a dipped position, your grip on Lupin not faltering in fear of falling; regardless, if you had let go, Lupin’s secured hold around you would save you.
Your eyes remained locked with Lupin’s, startled by the serious look that was donned. “Are you alright?” he asked.
You stammered in your response, rendered speechless by Lupin’s save. Was it out of character for Lupin to save a friend in trouble? No, not necessarily. Was it a surprise nonetheless that he saved you? Yes.
Lupin took your response as you being fine (physically). His gaze remained locked with yours, and you were sure you could mistake it for growing firm. He then spoke once more, his voice low and whisper-like, as if his words were meant to be heard by no one but you. “You’re the only thing that matters. Don’t forget it.”
You doubted you could, even if you tried.
Lupin’s expression changed, his eyes squinting in glee as he beamed at you. “You look ravishing in that uniform, by the way,” he says abruptly, leaning forward and kissing you. When he pulled away he grinned, seeing the flustered look you wore in response to both his words and the kiss.
Clearly you weren’t the only one taken back by the gesture, as Zenigata’s voice cut through the air with a stammer.
“I- dammit, Lupin! Your gang isn’t getting away that easily!”
“Oh, I don’t think I can agree with you there!” Lupin replied. He lowered you onto the second floor with Jigen’s help, the surprise from the aftermath of Lupin’s display still visible on his face, before unlatching the grappling-hook wire from his wrist piece and hopping down from the balcony himself. “Got the gem still, Jigen?”
“Yep,” the gunman hummed, procuring the gem from his pocket. He tossed it to Lupin, him catching it and holding it up to his eye-level before turning to look over the balcony.
“Alright, we’ve got the things we needed, so we’ll take our leave. Tootles, Pops!” he caroled, already nudging you and Jigen to get going. Jigen took the hint and bolted, Lupin following behind; you remained at the balcony, your gaze fixating on the grappling-hook Lupin left behind.
“(y/n), c’mon!” Lupin called to you, stopping in his tracks to find you not behind him. You were moving to try and get the gadget down, despite the police members already bounding up the stairs.
“But- your grappling-hook-”
“What are you, crazy? Just leave it!”
The fruitless result from your tugs at the wire left you with no other option but to heed him. You let go of the hanging wire and hurried to Lupin before you two started down a hallway that branched out the left of the main room, just as the local police were reaching the second floor. Jigen was already clambering out of one of the windows near the end of the hall, and you and Lupin halted when they reached the same window. Once Jigen had got down, landing feet-first on the fiat and crawling off it, Lupin followed suit, hopping out and onto the fiat. You climbed through the window, but halted when realizing Lupin hadn't moved out of the way yet.
"Lupin, move!" You said. Instead, Lupin reached his arms out to you, coaxing you to jump into his arms. You hesitated, prompting him to try and assure you it wasn't a bad idea.
"I won't drop you, I promise!"
You weren't reassured, but you hopped down anyway. And just as he'd promise, he caught and didn't drop you. "See? I promised."
"Yeah yeah, now let me down." Your wish was your command, after giving you a startle by jumping down from the roof. You vacated into the backseat while Lupin took the passenger seat, the driver's spot already claimed. Swearing and footsteps from inside the hall were words enough that the police would find them and the fiat; this in mind, Jigen turned the key in the ignition and the car lurched forward when the engine sputtered to life. You could faintly spot Zenigata in the window as you took off, Lupin already talking up a storm once Jigen pulled off the lawn and into the road, driving away from the museum. You turned forward in your seat, leaning into the gap between the front seats as if to join Lupin and Jigen.
"Still can't believe we didn't catch the motion sensors," Jigen grumbled, already perching a cigarette bud between his lips from the car's ashtray.
Lupin hummed in response, taking out the gem from his pocket and holding it up to admire it. "Well, at least the plan went smooth from there, so we can just chalk that part up to a mishap. Anyway, so I was thinking-"
There he goes, you thought, cracking a smile as Lupin spoke. One idea finished, another in the works. As the man rambled, you couldn't help but remember what he said back in the museum, your face warming up just at the memory of it. But then what he said to Zenigata, having the things they needed.
"Hey, Lupin," you decided to ask, catching his attention, "Did you take anything else besides the gem?"
"Not that I know of- why do you ask?"
You raised an eyebrow. "It sounded like you told Zenigata you took more than just the gem, so I thought-"
"Oh, I know what you mean!" he said in realization.
Jigen glanced at him. "You do?"
"Yeah." Lupin turned to face you, his grin present. "I took your lips for a second, didn't I? Did I perhaps steal your heart, too?"
Your face warmed as you stammered a 'no,' shying away from him as you looked out your window. Lupin chuckled at your reaction, turning back around. "Sorry, must've been your voice I took instead!"
"Damn flirt," Jigen mumbled.
Lupin's grinning face was in your window's reflection, and while your face was still warm and a string of your own profanity was passing through your lips, a small smile was passed through, too.

44 fluff with Lupin
Here we go! 📻
Fluffy Afternoon
Pairing: Arsène Lupin iii x Reader
Prompt: “You’re an idiot.” “But I am your idiot.”
Note: Mild cursing.
Tumblr media
“Got an eight?”
“Go fish.”
The apartment was quiet, aside from your voice and Lupin’s occupying the living room, and that weird sound cards make when they brush against each other. Jigen and Goemon were out doing stuff, though neither Lupin or you knew what they were up to, so it was just the two of you at the hideout. You were playing Go Fish, both studying your own cards and setting pairs down on the table before asking for cards.
Lupin scowled, pulling a card from the pile and aligning it with the cards in his deck. You watched as his eyes scanned his cards, his frown shifting a little as he looked at you, waiting for you. You hummed to yourself, checking out your cards before looking at Lupin. “Do you have a king?”
A smile grew on your love’s face as he looked at his cards. You raised an eyebrow at him, watching as his smile quickly dropped and handed over a king of spades to you. You beamed at him, thanking him as you took the card and placed it on the table with your king of clubs, pairing the two up.
It was at this point when Lupin let out a groan, resting his cards face-down on the table before toppling onto his back, despite the armchair not really being fit for that, and resting his head against the armrest. You tilted your head to the side, watching as he glanced up at the clock on the wall. You looked up to it yourself, checking the time. It was just a couple minutes after two- you’d been playing Go Fish for maybe ten minutes at most. “Today’s so slow,” you mumbled. Lupin nodded in agreement, letting out a grunt before flipping on his side to face you.
“Let’s do something else,” Lupin said.
“Like what?”
Lupin made a sound you could only guess could mean I don’t know, flipping around to rest on his back again with his arms crossed behind his head. He reminded you of a fish a little, just flopping around on the armchair. “I don’t know- Go Fish is boring.” His knee bobbed in the air, pausing when a smile came to his lips. “Hey, I know, how about we play strip Go-”
“That’s gonna be a ‘no’ from me,” you interject. You ignored the puppy face Lupin gave you, opting to lie down on your back and rest. Maybe when Jigen and Goemon got back, you four could order some food and hang out. I’ll just rest in the meantime, you figured. Your idea was scrapped upon feeling something lay on your stomach, your face contorting irritably as you cracked an eye open. Lupin had his head rested on you, watching you with a cat-like smile. You let out a sigh, reaching up and running your hand down your face before looking at Lupin again. “Do you need something, or are you just being clingy?”
“A little bit of both,” Lupin admits.
“You’re an idiot. You know that, don’t you?”
Lupin gives you a cheesy smile. “But I am your idiot, aren’t I?”
You shake your head with a cracked smile before turning on your side and reaching your arms out to him. Lupin blinks at the action, his smile growing more as he plopped his crossed arms on the couch and resting his chin atop them. “Oh? Does someone want to snuggle?”
You give him the stink eye, beginning to close your arms before Lupin relented, starting to move. “Okay, okay.” He crawled onto the couch and into your arms, latching his arms around you while yours wrapped around him in return. Your chin rested on top of his head for a moment before he turned to look at you, the side of his face set on your chest as he smiled up at you. “Is my princess happy?”
You nod. Your fingers raked through the dark tufts of Lupin’s hair, a pleasant sigh leaving him as he closed his eyes. The continuous motion continued, their mixed-soft breathing lulling each other to sleep.
“(Y/n), Lupin- we’re back,” Jigen called into the apartment. He closed the door after him and Goemon before they stepped further into the space. He holds up the grocery bag in his hand, glancing around for the two friends that stayed behind. “We bought some stuff for dinner. Where are you guys-”
“They’re asleep,” Goemon interrupted, gesturing his sheath toward the couch. Jigen peered over the back of the couch, an eye poking out from beneath his hat’s brim. Your fingers were nestled in Lupin’s hair with the monkey-man on top of you, both asleep.
“Damn.”
“Should we leave them be?”
“Might as well. I’ll just put their dinner in the fridge for when they wake up.” Goemon watched as Jigen headed into the kitchen, hearing him set the individual groceries onto the counter before turning his gaze back to you and Lupin. He raised an eyebrow as he heard Lupin mumble something, snuggling against you with a content smile; there was a relaxed smile on your own lips, your other hand resting on Lupin’s back.
“Goemon, can you help me with the noodles?” Jigen asked, his head popping out from the kitchen doorway. Goemon looked over and nodded, making his way over. As he left, Lupin let out a yawn, cracking an eye open before closing it, leaning up and pecking your chin.
“I love ya,” he mumbled.

Night Time Drop-In
Pairing: Jigen Daisuke x Reader
Tumblr media
The late hours of the night offered a peace and solitude that differed from other times. You often found yourself up, despite the negative toll it took on your sleep schedule, occupying your time with a variety of things. Sometimes you would scroll online for hours at a time, waving away boredom with videos of your interests or with articles or other things. Other times, you would indulge yourself into hobbies you had (sometimes trying out other things, adopting or dropping it depending if it was a good fit for you). And sometimes, you would just stare out the window, gazing out towards the city you resided in, taking in the night scene.
This was one of those nights.
A sigh passed through your lips, a visible puff of air presenting itself from the condensation within the air. It was far too cold to have a window open, but the faint sound of sirens beckoned you forward with no concern for the chilliness.
Sirens were as common as they came, and while hearing one meant something was about to go down, you couldn’t help but feel a twitch of hope fill you upon hearing it. For every time you heard one, there was a possibility you’d see your love again. A slim chance, yes, but a chance nonetheless.
The screech of car tires and a call of nearing sirens caught your attention. You leaned out your window for a better look, and from the light of a streetlight you saw a yellow car round the corner and hightail it up your street. A smile spread on your lips at the sight of the yellow car. The fiat 500 classic was recognizable for you just at a glance, and as it passed the streetlight in front of your home you caught a glimpse of the inhabitants inside the fiat 500. Two men sat in the driver and passenger seats; one of them, the one your eyes settled on in the split second of the streetlight, donned a hat that hid half his face.
You couldn’t help but feel giddy.
You turned your head to watch the yellow fiat speed down the street before turning into an alleyway. Your head whipped back to the corner, where a couple police cars had just started to turn the corner and speed through the street. The police cars and the sirens quickly faded. A couple minutes passed, and your gaze would flicker over to the alleyway, in hopes that the fiat would return into view, or that the fiat’s inhibitors would come into view.
It only occured to you then of the breath you were holding. You exhaled, feeling the chilly air tingle the inside of your throat as you breathed in. The fiat’s appearance was a welcoming one, since it had been a while since you last saw it. So seeing it now really took your breath away.
The stir of an ongoing-engine pulled your eyes to the alleyway again. A study rise in your heartbeat grew until you swore it could leap out of your chest, and at the worst possible second you heard the rumbling engine cut off. The smile that had been on your lips faltered.
Did he leave? The thought nipped at you, but you shook your head in dismissal. No, of course not. He wouldn’t just leave after appearing. Jigen isn’t like that. The goosebumps running up your arms became apparent to you, and you rubbed your arms in an attempt to warm yourself. You couldn’t bear the thought of him coming to the city and leaving without saying hello.
Them being in the city.. did they plan a heist here? Was it successful?
Two familiar figures approached from the shadows of the alleyway, and when the light’s end made them recognizable to you a wave of exhilaration washed over you. In a flurry you left the window and made your way over to the door, slipping on some slippers as you hurried out the door. After a brisk walk down the hall and descending the flight of stairs down to the ground floor, your footsteps echoing through the hall, you hurried to the main doors that led into the apartment building. Through the window you spied the two men nearing the apartment, and when opening the door the cold air bit at your skin. But you couldn’t spare a moment to curse out the temperature; happiness pinched you, seeing the two men on the other side of the door.
The gentleman thief Arsène Lupin iii, and the gunman of the show, and your love, Daisuke Jigen.
“Jigen, Lupin- it’s been a while,” you said, your smile unwavering.
“It sure has,” Jigen says. A smile of his own peeked from the shadow cast on his face by his hat, and as you studied his face you noticed some grime on his cheek and over his nose, and on the front of his dress shirt. This made you raise an eyebrow.
“Couldn’t agree more,” Lupin piped up, his usual grin ever present. A once-over of the gentleman thief showed you he had grime smeared on him and his clothes too.
Two usually-tidy men with grime smeared on them and their clothes. An odd sight, to you. Before you could ask, a sheepish smile swapped Lupin’s previous grin while Jigen pulled the front of his hat lower as he glanced away. “Excuse the dirt,” Lupin says, waving off the look you had. “Mind letting us in?”
You nodded, beckoning them inside and closing the door behind them once they came in. You studied them for a moment, looking for blood or injuries. They looked fine, but she couldn’t be too sure. “Are you guys okay? Any injuries? Bullet wounds?” It’s been a bit since you had to patch one or all of them up. You kept the medic kit updated for whenever they’d visit, and after a couple of them she had gotten some more-qualified tools to help with taking care of injuries.
“Just a sore back,” Jigen says.
“Other than that, we’re perfectly fine,” Lupin said. “We were pretty lucky to get out unscathed. They shot at the fiat though-” he lets out a sigh, reaching up and rubbing at his head as he glanced away. “God, I don’t even know how many times I’ve had to replace the windows and other parts. We don’t always have money lying around to replace what other people destroy!”
“Lucky indeed, and a drag,” Jigen pipes up.
You hummed in response, nodding. “With the fiat in the condition it’s in though, is it safe to leave it unattended?”
“It’ll be fine,” Lupin said, dismissing your concern. “Besides, the only thing probably worth stealing from it is car parts, but the folks around here don’t mess with stuff that’s not theirs, right? So it’ll be okay.”
“If you say so,” you mumbled. You noticed the dirty footsteps the two men tracked in, your nose scrunching up in revulsion. You were going to have to mop the floor in your apartment sometime later, probably. “Your tracking dirt in. You guys can use my shower to clean up.”
Jigen turned his sole up to check at her mention, a ‘sorry’ coming from him. He opened the door, letting the chilly air in as he scraped his soles on the ground to get rid of the dirt. Lupin, on the other hand, jumped at the offer to use your shower.
“How kind of you!” he said, not noticing his tone becoming loud.
“Hush! You’ll wake up the neighbors,” you hissed at Lupin. Lupin chortled before making his way to the stairs, leaving you and Jigen behind a couple feet. You glared at the floor as Lupin walked off, his dirty shoes tracking filth on the hallway, before you turned away to look at Jigen, who came in again and closed the door behind him. With his partner’s back turned Jigen pecked your cheek hastily, saying he was glad to see you again. You beamed up at him, taking his hand and squeezing it before tugging him with you to catch up to Lupin. Jigen’s affection usually came in private, when it was just the two of you, but sometimes he’d sneak a peck (and you would too) when no one else was looking. Those were some of your favorite moments; alas, they were few, as you both would go months without seeing one another due to his adventures with his friends and being on the run from the law. While you would be lonely and yearn for him, you were able to keep yourself busy to avoid the thinking and longing, with the times Jigen would appear being spent with you together. Sometimes he’d be with you for a couple days (a week, if you were lucky), but most times it’d be a night before he had to leave.
“How've you been since I was gone?” Jigen asked. As you two got up the stairs, you heard Lupin call to you guys in a whispered tone to hurry up. “We’re coming, we’re coming, jeez, Lupin.”
“I’ve been keeping myself busy,” you replied to his question. You then shrugged a little, before adding, “If I have to admit, it’s been a little lonely.”
Jigen chuckled, his free hand adjusting the brim of his hat as his eye peaked out from underneath. You adored seeing his eyes, even if Jigen said they were nothing special. “It’s a good thing I’m here, then.”
You nodded in agreement, a soft giggle leaving you.
You reached the floor your apartment was on, and saw Lupin standing where your door was, leaning against it and tapping his shoe against the floor in an impatient manner. “And where are you on a rush to?” you ask.
“I’m just taking you up on your offer for using your shower is all,” Lupin says. You roll your eyes as you waved him away.
“The door’s open,” you tell him. “Don’t make a mess.”
“You got it!” Lupin calls behind him as he hurries into the apartment after opening the door.
“Don’t yell!” you hissed again, before groaning upon realizing he left the door wide open. “And don’t keep the door open-”
“Don’t take all the hot water,” Jigen calls after him, this time tugging you with him into your apartment. Lupin didn’t respond; only a jolly hum coming from the bathroom as you heard the shower turn on. You closed the door once getting inside, watching as Jigen knocked on the bathroom door, telling Lupin to not take a long time.
“Stop worrying, Jigen!” Lupin called over. “Just go snuggle with (y/n) while you wait!”
“God, the neighbors are gonna wake up if you don’t shut up,” you said. You groaned, pinching the bridge of your nose. “The last thing I want is to have the police called because I’m harbouring criminals.” They would consider you an accomplice. That wouldn’t be good- you were no thief, just a regular citizen of the law. If anything, due to your relationship with Jigen, an affiliate would be more accurate. That was your only crime- except maybe for that one time you went fifteen miles over the speed limit to try and get to work, already being a half hour late.
“Sorry about ‘im,” you heard Jigen say. He moved over to you, and you wrapped your arms around him in a hug and rested your head against his chest. You didn’t care if you got dirty from the dirt on his clothes; you missed the closeness between the two of you. Jigen’s arms soon found their place around your waist in a cozy embrace, a satisfied hum leaving him. “I missed you so much.” His words came out in a soft whisper.
You smiled softly. “I missed you so much, too,” you whispered in return. You squeezed him in your embrace before loosening an arm around him to cup the side of his face. Some of the grime on his face caught your eye; you rubbed your thumb over a small patch of it, Jigen squinting his eye while your thumb became grime-coated. “How on earth did you and Lupin get so much grime on you? It looks like you rolled in the dirt, for pete’s sake,” you said jokingly. From your angle, you had a good look of his face, being able to see the features his hat brim’s shadow casted on him.
“That’s not too far off,” Jigen admits. An unbridled feeling of euphoria burst in you as Jigen leaned into your hand, the smile he was wearing gentle. He releases an arm and rests his hand atop yours, his gaze shirking away from yours as his smile twitched a little. “You know that museum about five, eight minutes from here? With that famous alexandrite gemstone necklace?”
You cocked your head to the side in curiosity, nodding. You knew what he was talking about, having heard that the expensive piece would be displayed for a limited time at the museum that week. “I know what you’re talking about- the necklace just got showcased today.” You guys stole it, you figured. They were thieves, afterall, so this wasn’t news to you. It did explain their unexpected arrival though.
“Yeah, well..” Jigen let out a sigh, his hand slipping from yours to scratch his cheek. “The heist didn’t go as we thought. Somehow we looked over another security system the museum had, and the police got there before we could even snatch the necklace.” Your eyebrows furrowed as you nodded your head in understanding. “What a waste, too-” Jigen mumbled, his hand propping on top of his hat before pushing it down to hide part of his face. “We got inside, didn’t get caught by security, almost got to the alexandrite necklace-”
“Hey now,” you interjected, cutting him off. You hated it when Jigen talked like this. Sure, sometimes their heists didn’t go as planned (either from Fujiko, the police, or some other force, you’ve heard enough stories from Jigen and his friends), but all they could do was try again next time or turn their sights to a different prize. With a softened gaze you kissed Jigen's bearded chin, causing him to look back at you. "You tried your best, and that's all there is to it," you state simply. Jigen was still for a moment before nodding his head. "If you need to, you two can stay here for a couple days to reassess the new security they'll probably have up. And Goemon is welcome to stay here too, if he likes."
"All three of us?" Jigen asked, surprised. "You're a really good host, but don't you think three of us would be hard to handle?"
"Just don't break anything or get the cops called here, and I think we'll all do just fine," you assured him. Then, teasingly, you add, “Besides, don’t you have faith in me?”
A chuckle came from the man you embraced. “I do, I do. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
The running water from the bathroom shut off, telling you Lupin was finished. “That won’t be a problem,” you tell Jigen. You lean up and kiss him, feeling him smile against your lips before pulling away. “I’ll get the couch ready for Lupin,” you say.
Jigen hums in reply, leaning down and pressing a kiss to your forehead before saying, “Alright.” A giggle escaped you as his beard tickled your skin, followed by another as he pressed a chaste kiss to your cheek. You turned your head and kissed him just below his lips, and felt Jigen’s chest rumble as he chuckled.
Just as Jigen leaned down to kiss you once more the bathroom door opened, revealing Lupin in the doorway with a white tank top and a pair of striped boxers. He was smiling, unashamedly staring at your and Jigen’s affectionate display. Jigen’s stop-mid-kiss had his cheek pressed against yours and both your heads turned to face Lupin, which only looked to amuse him more.
“Oh? Was I interrupting something?” he asked, feigning an innocent act. “My, my- what a sight, seeing Jigen all affectionate with his darling.”
“You’re always interrupting,” Jigen grumbled, scowling at his friend. “Go pick up your clothes- it’s my turn to use the shower.”
“Okay, okay- yeesh.”
As Lupin turned to pick up his dirtied garments, Jigen mumbled something to himself about ‘bad timing,’ kissing your cheek once more before pulling away. “Do you need to take a shower at all?” he asked. You shook your head, saying you already took one hours ago. Jigen nods, humming in reply before asking, “Did I leave some clothes here from last time I visited?”
You nodded. “Yeah, I kept them in the bottom drawer.” You took his hand and showed him to your bedroom, pointing to said drawer of your dresser before going to find some blankets to make a makeshift bed for Lupin. In a matter of minutes Jigen was in the bathroom taking his shower while you helped Lupin. Lupin’s clothes were getting washed in the washer, and once those were done you would have Jigen put his clothes in to get washed. You asked Lupin if he was comfortable, receiving a nod from him.
“Yep, I’ll be sleeping like a baby tonight!” Lupin replied cheerily from his spot on the couch. You sat in the arm chair beside the end of the couch, waiting for Jigen to finish up so they could retire for the rest of the night.
It’s already morning hours, you thought to yourself, checking the time on the wall clock. We’ll all be sleeping into the afternoon, probably. And I guess Goemon won’t be turning up soon- maybe he’s staying at a hotel for the night, or something. You turned to look over at Lupin, seeing him study the living room with a drowsy face. A lit cigarette hung from his lips before he pulled it out and held it between his fingers. “Hey, Lupin.” He turned his attention to you. “I told Jigen that you two and Goemon are welcome to stay a couple days if you need to. Depending on how much the museum ups their security because  of your heist tonight, you’ll have to figure out a way around it. Your fiat isn’t in the best condition, either, so getting it repaired before you leave would be wise.”
“You’re not wrong- the security will definitely be heightened, and my car isn’t in the best condition. But, ‘welcome to stay?’” Lupin repeats, his face matching Jigen’s when she told him they could stay. He breaks into a smile. “Gee, I never expected that, but thank you, really. Y’know, I’m glad Jigen found a gal like you; he’s still a big grump sometimes, but I know he gets really happy whenever he gets to see you.”
A fuzzy feeling warmed you at hearing Lupin’s words, nodding in response. You found it endearing, how Lupin was in regards to Jigen and your relationship; he was happy for you and him. ‘Especially since things were looking to turn around for Jigen,’ Lupin would say.
“You’re not thinking of anything all sappy, are you, (y/n)?” Lupin asked, interjecting your thoughts. You shook your head ‘no,’ although the smile you failed to bite back was apparent to the monkey-man. “You totally are! Probably something about Jigen’s smile, or me looking out for the guy, or about Jigen being-”
“You better watch yourself, Lupin. I can kick you out if I need to.”
“I’m done,” you heard Jigen say from the doorway. You turned over onto your side, smiling to him and beckoning him to get into the bed. He complied, first setting his old clothes on the small table at the end of your bed with his hat on top of the pile, before climbing into the bed and joining you beneath the covers. You set the book you’d been reading on your bedside table before turning over again and facing Jigen. You couldn’t resist a grin when seeing Jigen in his nightgown and cap, despite the weird look he gave you. "What's the face for? You've seen me wear this."
“I know, I know," you say, humming softly. You felt Jigen's arms wrap around you, pulling you closer to him and his warmth. You curled your arms in a loose hold around him in return, your fingers rubbing soft circles and lines into his back while he fiddled with the ends of your hair.
A comfortable silence settled over the two of you, your breathing matching his own. You leaned into Jigen, tilting your head up to admire him. His eyes were closed and face was relaxed, and the soft rise and fall of his chest dozed you toward sleep. A small smile graced your lips as you tucked your head into his chest. “I love you,” you whispered to him.
A squeeze from Jigen in your embrace came as your response. “I love you, too,” followed thereafter.

Morning Coffee
Pairing: Jigen Daisuke x Reader (gn)
Prompt: “Did you know that you talk in your sleep?”
Note: Some mild profanity occurs. / You’re drinking coffee in this one, but just replace it with something else if you don’t drink it!
Tumblr media
The morning light had begun to seep through the windows, and in the town Lupin’s gang were staying in already had people getting up for the day. Just a couple minutes ago you woke up to a car alarm, and after a couple minutes of the alarm continuing on you didn’t you would get back to sleep anytime soon. So now you sat in the living room waiting for the rest of gang to wake up and get ready for the new day, drinking your coffee while watching the television. Not much was on- nothing interesting, anyway. Just a weather forecast, and a recollection of the mundane events going on in the town.
“Guess it’s gonna be one of those days,” you mumbled to yourself, taking another sip from your mug. The sound of a door opening prompted you to look over, a “who’s there?” leaving you.
“Guess who,” Jigen’s voice returned. You watched as he closed the door behind him and walk to the couch you were on, a yawn escaping him as he down beside you after you scooched over. Jigen scratched his neck as he woke up more, and you crossed your legs beneath you before returning your attention back to the television. The reporter was outside of the museum the gang visited a couple days ago, reporting that the case for a stolen gem was still ongoing with no suspects. You let out a chuckle hearing that; that heist didn’t even take as long as everyone first expected. The only trouble there was was the cameras, and even that had been a pinch.
“I wonder what Lupin’s planning on doing with that gem we snatched,” Jigen mumbled in wonder, leaning into the couch. He mumbled something you didn’t catch, but you didn’t ask him to repeat himself.
“Probably sell it. Or give it to Fujiko,” you suggested. Jigen grunted in reply.
The museum report ended and returned to the newstation’s speakers, one of them commenting on the report while the other two agreed and gave their own commentary. You tuned out, looking over to Jigen.
“How’d you sleep?” you asked him.
Jigen responded with an incoherent grumble and tipped his hat down to cover his eyes. You rose an eyebrow. “Rough night?”
“There was always some random noise every half hour,” Jigen said. “I might’ve gotten two or three hours of sleep altogether.”
“Want me to make you some coffee?” you offered. If it helped him get through the morning and not murder someone (Lupin, specifically), then you didn’t mind. And potential for a better attitude wasn’t something you could turn down.
“Sure, that’d be nice,” Jigen said. You thought his voice softened as his sentence ended, but again, you didn’t ask. You simply nodded, leaning over and setting your mug on the living room table before getting up and heading into the kitchen. It was a small space, and the table cramped in did not make it any better, but it was manageable. As you got the coffee ready, Jigen came in, your mug in hand; he sat down at the table, setting your mug down in front of the seat opposite him.
“Thanks for bringing that for me,” you said when you noticed your mug, smiling at Jigen before returning your attention to the coffee maker.
Jigen let out a chuckle, and you could tell he was smiling as he spoke. “Well, you can’t have a ‘chat over coffee’ if one of the joe’s in the living room, right?” You shake your head as a grin fought its way onto your lips. It only grew upon hearing the man laugh.
The coffee was filling up in the carafe, and as it neared finishing you grabbed a purple mug from the cupboard and set it down beside the coffee maker. When the coffee was done, you poured it into the mug.
“Creamer? Sugar?” you called over to Jigen.
“I can do the rest,” you heard him say, his chair squeaking as he got up from the table and walked over. You nodded, moving to the side so he could get to his coffee before you sat down with your coffee. Jigen hummed to himself behind you, you sipping at your coffee once more as he joined you at the table again, taking a swig of his own coffee. “That’s the stuff,” Jigen said as he set his mug on the table, wiping his mouth with the side of his hand.
“What kind of noises did you hear?” you asked, remembering him mention it when he said he couldn’t sleep. It was out of nowhere, yeah, but you couldn’t help but ask. The thought it could’ve been a failed break-in came to mind, but it didn’t make much sense.
“Like I said, it was random noise,” Jigen repeated.
You nodded for him to go on, and he let out a sigh. “Just, y’know- Lupin snoring like crazy; chatter from other tenants; movement out in the hall and in the room above us; you sleep-talking; cars driving-”
You were mid-sip before stopping, coughing. Jigen’s eyebrows furrowed. “Crap- are you okay?”
You ignored him, staring at him when you could breath again. “I sleep-talk?” you inquired. You could feel your skin warming up in embarrassment.
The relief you were okay was replaced as Jigen rose an eyebrow. “Yeah, you do.” He paused for a moment, his eyes squinting a little beneath his hat. “Did you know that you talk in your sleep? This sounds like news to you, or somethin’.”
It was news for you; no one ever told you you sleep-talk! What if you did that commonly? Oh goodness, you’ve slept in the car on long road trips a lot of times- did you sleep-talk at those times? What did you even sleep talk about?
Jigen couldn’t exactly tell what face you were making, but he could see that you were getting a little over your head about the sleep-talking thing. “Don’t make that face, it wasn’t anything weird, or bad,” he assured you.
“Did you hear anything I said when I was asleep though?” you asked.
This is getting blown out of proportions, Jigen thought to himself. He let out a sigh, tilting his hat down before pulling a pack of cigarettes and a lighter out of his pocket. He popped one of the cigarettes out and between his lips and lit it. He breathed out, a puff of smoke escaping through his lips before pulling the cigarette out and holding it gingerly between his fingers. “I don’t even remember all of what you were saying,” he said. “Maybe.. something about ‘a ride being too long,’ or ‘too scratchy’ or somethin’. It was all jumbled, and unclear.”
“That’s not helpful,” you stated.
Jigen noticed the intent stare you gave at your coffee’s reflection, your fingers tapping the mug’s surface in an out-of-order jumble. He didn’t miss the quirk your lips or nose made either; nor your hunched shoulders.
Everything about you right then shouted out ‘embarrassed.’ And even though he knew he shouldn’t’ve, he couldn’t help but smile at your display, before chuckling at it. This made you whip your head up to glare at him.
“What are you chuckling about?” you asked sharply.
“Nothin’,” Jigen replied, waving away your question before smoking his cigarette once more.
“That’s shit, and you know it, now spill,” you stated. You were only given another chuckle and a shake of the head in reply. Before you could question him again you saw the door to the living room open, Goemon coming inside.
At his arrival you clamped up, sending another glare to Jigen before closing your eyes and drinking your coffee. Jigen bote back a grin, taking a sip of his drink before looking over to Goemon. “Good to see you join us, Goemon,” he said.
Goemon nodded, bidding a quiet ‘good morning’ to them both despite the curious look he had on. It was clear he likely heard some kind of commotion from them, but it was quiet as he as entered. As Goemon began to fix himself a cup of tea, you opened your eyes to look at Jigen again. You watched as he looked back at you, a grin playing on his lips; a tiny smile grew on yours as you glanced away.
