Professor M.A.R. Barker’s game Perfected predates the 1974 1st printing of OD&D/0e, and the entirety of the rules are in this image.
Perfected We both roll dice. If you roll high, your view of reality prevails. If I roll high, my view of reality prevails. If we’re close, we negotiate.

Implied Setting, Part 1/??
This blog is like maybe going to be about game design? Maybe it’s going to just be a bunch of random ttrpg content? No idea yet. If you know any cool ttrpg tumblr accounts to follow hmu and lmk (especially if they are OSR/Old School Renaissance or FKR/Free Kriegsspiel Renaissance or indie ttrpg tumblrs, but like I’m an anti-capitalist trans woman concerned with decolonization so maybe don’t link me the Shitty Ones).
I love me some OD&D/0e and retroclones of such like Delving Deeper and Swords & Wizardry! Also just love like weird little super minimalist RPGs like Perfected and Risus and shit like that or big clunky crunchy edifices of rules like Eclipse Phase and Hero System...really I love all ttrpgs, but I have a subtle preference for the more minimalist stuff, the super weird stuff and the 70s and prior stuff, including not-quite-ttrpg antecedents like Chainmail and Braunstein/Brownstone (or M.A.R. Barker’s Perfected that I referenced above). I’m also into like therapy “role playing games” and acting school improv class “role playing games” that predate Wesely, Arneson, Gygax, Barker, et all like it’s all cool shit to me.
I also have another tumblr but I wanted to make a blog focused on ttrpg stuff to see if that would motivate me to blog about ttrpg stuff. We’ll see!
