Now I have to do the reverse of the sterek version of this story.

Claudia died on the first day of school. The next week, Stiles had to go to school. The teachers all knew and they'd told the students. People would whisper behind his back or pity him. He didn't want pity. He didn't want people talking about him. He wanted the world to disappear. Then he met Derek, a kinda-cocky member of the basketball team who would sit with him in the library--never showing him pity, just enjoying his presence.

They started dating and ended up getting married after graduation. But with every milestone that passed, Stiles would think about his mum. He wished she was there to see him graduate, he wishes his mum could have met Derek.

At their wedding, they light a candle for Claudia.

On their honeymoon, Stiles gets a call from Scott. He sounds super excited. While helping his mum clear out some old stuff, he found a photo of them from when they were little. They used to play on a soccer team. And Scott says one of the kids inthe photo looks just like Derek when he was younger. Scott sends him the photo and Holy shit! It's Derek!

Stiles shows Derek the photo and Derek smiles and says, "Yeah, I was the goalie."

Later, when Stiles is on the phone to his dad, he asks him if he remembers the soccer team he and Scott were part of when they were younger.

"I remember the goalie," Sheriff Stilinski says. "The kid would sit down in the net and play in the dirt. Your mum thought he was hilarious."

This post appeared again on my dash and it makes me smile every time, but this time I can't get the idea of a sterek version out of my head.

Imagine the Hale fire happened a week before school started and Derek didn't deal with it well. People would whisper behind his back or pity him and he hated it. Then he met Stiles, a chaotic ball of energy that barrelled into his life, treated him like anyone else, went on long rambling tangents, and made Derek smile.

They started dating and ended up getting married after graduation. But with every milestone that passed, Derek would think about his family. He wished his mum was in the crowd the day he graduated, he wishes his family could have met Stiles, wishes they could have gotten to know him, that they could have seen how he makes Derek smile.

At their wedding, they lay a flower on each of the seats that Derek's family would have filled.

On their honeymoon, Derek gets a call from Cora. She and Laura had been clearing out old boxes of stuff and she found a photo of the soccer team she and Derek played on when they were younger, and one of the kids in the photo looks just like Stiles.

Derek shows Stiles the photo and Stiles says, "Yeah, I was the goalie."

Later, when Derek is on the phone to Laura, he tells her about the photo and how he and Cora were on the same team as Stiles.

"I remember those games," Laura reminisces. "Mum and I used to watch the goalie - sweet kid. He would sit down in the goal and play in the dirt. Mum thought he was hilarious. She loved that kid."

Derek smiles as he looks at his husband and thinks, Yeah, I love him too.

Sterek The Dragon Prince AU. Many years ago, the land of Zadia was home to to humans, elves and dragons. But that changed when a human mage sought to harness magic - a power that only elves and dragons had managed to access. But magic only comes from six natural sources known as Arcana: the sky, earth, water, ice, the sun, and the moon. Humans couldn’t harness these Arcana, and so one mage accessed a new power, a destructive force that consumes the life essence of living creatures: dark magic.

Elves and dragons banned together to exhile the humans from Zadia. Centuries later, the human’s lands are frozen over, the crops are dead and food stores have rotten. The high mage, Chris Argent, offers Queen Talia a solution, but it requires the heart of a creature only found in Zadia. The King knows it’s a bad idea, but it’s their only choice. It’s a choice that costs him the love of his life, his queen (who is one of the best fighters in the kingdom) is killed by the Dragon King, leaving behind a son (the kings step son) - Stiles - and their son, Eli.

Years later, the king exacts revenge on Zadia when he and the high mage kill the Dragon King and destroy the dragon’s egg, an act that Zadia reteliates for, sending moon elf assassins to kill the king.

The youngest moon elf assassin is Derek, who is tasked with finding and killing the King’s son, Eli.

But when he breaks into the castle, it’s Stiles he finds. Stiles lies to protect his half-brother, saying he’s Eli, but Eli comes tumbling into the room at that moment. Stiles tries to get Eli away from Derek but the three stumble upon the high mage’s secret, hidden below the castle is the egg of the Dragon Prince. Chris had stolen the egg, not destroyed it, hoping to use its immeasurable energy for his dark magic.

Stiles begs Derek to let them take the egg back to the Dragon Queen in hopes it will bring peace to the land and stop the war. Derek agrees on the condition he goes with them to make sure the egg is safe.

If only it were that simple. Their journey is drought with danger and the high mage’s daughter, Allison, is sent to kill them and take back the egg.

Obsessed with the idea that Derek loves hearing Stiles talk, that he could listen to him talk for hours, that he uses the sound of his voice to ground himself and be at peace, that it's his favorite sound in the world. That when someone tells Stiles to shut up he'll growl right in their face and tell them to apologize or get lost (even the pack, they don't get a pass when it comes to Stiles).

I especially can't stop thinking about how, at some point, they'll be alone spending time together, and Stiles will be talking and Derek will be listening, until Stiles shuts himself up because he's so used to people getting annoyed when he talks, and he doesn't want to annoy Derek, but Derek just opens his eyes from where he'd been resting his head on Stiles' lap and asks him why he stopped, he obviously was very excited about the new Iron Man movie, come on, keep going.

And anyways yeah I think they're perfect for each other.

Imagine what Peter would have been like with Erica. Peter likes Lydia because she had the strength and isn’t afraid to give his sass and snark in return. Erica would be the same. She doesn’t care if he’s a former Alpha or that he’s Derek’s uncle, if he starts acting up, she’s quick to put him in his place.

And Peter never seems to get mad at her. Maybe because he admires her courage and strength, maybe because he sees a part of himself in her (the social outcast who was hurt—him with the fire and her with her epilepsy that nearly killed her). Maybe it’s the fact that she reminds him of Laura.

Imagine Peter not knowing how to be ‘nice’, but there are little things he does to show how he feels: bringing Erica a glass of water, saving the last dumpling when the pack is having takeout and giving it to her, rushing to her side of the pack is attacked, helping her to her feet during training, sitting with her when the full moons get rough.

Imagine Derek and Stiles running a sanctuary for “scary, difficult, and aggressive” dogs and they just turn in huge puppies around Stiles. Derek trains them and makes sure that they can be adopted, whiles stiles just plays/cuddles them. He also likes to take them on his runs and he just has all these big scary looking dogs protecting him. They have more than once stopped someone from hurting stiles, but Derek is always the scariest looking one, whether he’s in his human form or full shift form.

Imagine where stiles is at Derek’s place using his books to do more werewolf research and he’s a bit annoying and Derek grabs stiles and blurts out “I’m gonna take you out”. And stiles is confused and a bit scared, “take me out”? And Derek just nods and says “yeah this Saturday night, be ready” and stiles starts freaking out cause he thinks Derek means take him out as in kill him. So stiles starts asking everyone for advice. And no one is any help. Basically everyone tells him well it was nice knowing you. And then finally it’s the day of and stiles opens the door to Derek holding flowers and he wants to cry cause he thinks those are his funeral flowers. They go to the middle of the woods and stiles thinks this is where Derek wants to bury him, but Derek actually made him a really nice picnic and it’s the perfect spot where the moon is so bright and it’s just beautiful.

I can just imagine the Sheriff asking Derek what's going on (just in case Stiles has gotten on the werewolf's last nerve and is actually in danger) and Derek explains what he has planned. The Sheriff wishes him luck and laughs all the way home. Meanwhile, Stiles is in his room, sobbing as he writes his will, expecting death.

Imagine anytime stiles says he has a bad feeling about someone Derek immediately says let’s see what they’re hiding. And they start investigating them and stiles is always right. Like he can tell when someone is the villain every single time. And Derek always backs him up even when they don’t have proof, and Scott is always so skeptical even though stiles has never been wrong. 

Stiles' intuition is always right. More people should listen to him.

Imagine stiles runs cold and he cuddles Derek whenever possible to steal his body heat.

I refuse to believe that Sheriff Stilinski would respond to the call and arrive at the Hale house to find it on fire and not run in to try and save them.

I whole heartedly believe that Sheriff Stilinski ran into the Hale House when it was up in flames and got burnt because of it.

In fact, there is one character who was canonically in the house when it was on fire but not in the house when it collapsed/when everyone else died.

Peter.

Sheriff Stilinski got Peter out but before he could go back for anyone else, the house collapsed.
