The French Line Travel Posters from the 1950s Commercial ship operators, The Compagnie Generale Transatlantique, offered Europe to America travels from the luxury ocean liners, fitted with the latest styles of the time. These two posters for the company offer glimpses into the luxurious stylings of the ship and popularity of traveling via ocean liner. French artists Jean Phillipe Page produced a beautiful image of passengers enjoying both the on-deck atmosphere as well as the activities inside, and Bernard Villemot’s ‘Bon Voyage’ image features a group of people celebrating the send off of one of the Line’s popular ships, The Liberte.
