Miyazaki being a masochist really explains all the violence that happens to bodies in Fromsoft games that goes completely unremarked-on by anyone, including the people having violence done to them. Elden Ring especially has so much self-harm as a power-up mechanism that it's basically a theme of the game.
Being bad at Elden Ring does not invalidate your opinions about the game.
Guy who used spirit summons the whole game and has 30 vigor at level 130: "Oh great so I get to hate on how the difficulty spike ruins the ga-"
No, you have a limited experience with the game and understanding of it's mechanics, and your opinions have to come from a place of knowing that limitation. No, you don't get to complain about the "artificial difficulty" you don't even know what that means.
Guy who has been playing fromsoft games for 20000 hours: "Oh you're so right, those casuals shouldn't have a say untill they learn how to play the game-"
NO, read the beginning of the post. You can't "get good" yourself out of every argument, sometimes bad players have a point, and you have to engage with it ten times before you even think of asking how long they've been playing the game. Yes, sometimes bad points come from a lack of experience and you should point that out. But sometimes new players come in with a fresh perspective.
What I'm saying is. Be humble when discussing things with people. That's all.
As someone who's spent hours learning their fight and mastering them both, the halberd+sword combination is definitely the easier one. The sword specifically is quite easy to strafe around and get some damage in, and the halberd has big openings. The axe moveset is only a little harder. But those twinblades kinda fucked me up. They're very fast, hit hard, leave a very small opening and hard to track.
Love love love this Sword Monument because while the others are written in a passive tone this one genuinely sounds like a prayer for Malenias safety and victory.
Opening your status menu let's you see your stats. They look confusing but they're really simple, I'm not gonna delve into details since you'll figure them out pretty fast(unless you want me to, ask in the dms)
Vigor is your healthbar. In this game you will take damage and you will always need health to be able to stay in the fight. If you feel like the enemies in the area start killing you in 2-3 hits, you're behind on your vigor leveling. Prioritise it in the early game, only level up other stats if you need them for a cool weapon/spell you found or to increase your equip load for armour you want. When you feel comfortable with your vigor, you can choose one or two damaging stats and level them up. (dexterity is one of them, the other ones are strength, intellegence, faith and arcane)
Dexterity builds are very strong. They use lightning infused weapons, they're fast and flashy and beautiful and they're my favourites in general I like them a lot.
I hope this helps, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
You know what the Green Heron is basically the best heron because it is like 90% neck so when it is all folded down it looks like a giant head with wings and legs
miquella will not be the final boss of the dlc. you defeat messmer, enter the final room and discover another hand sticking out of a cocoon. that’s right, the world’s sleepiest boy is dreaming in a dream. owned. obliterated. maybe your lore theories are right, maybe they’re wrong. miquella is griffith? sorry there will be no Discourse and Debate. come back in a year for the second dlc, go on get outta here,
