Sometimes I see a respected mutual in my notes and remember they follow me and I'm like. Should I apologize for what I'm doing here. But they did choose to be in my house

Jewish artifacts found at an excavation site in Tayma, Saudi Arabia. Tayma was a Jewish oasis during the pre-Islamic era. It was the hometown of Jewish poet Shmuel Ben Adiya, famous for his unconditional loyalty towards Prince Imru al Qais in the 6th century.
Tayma, along with Khaybar were the two most important oasis in the Hejaz region (modern Saudi Arabia) that used to have a strong jewish presence until the fall of Khaybar in 628 (4388 - 4389 in the hebrew calendar) when the first muslims conquered the fortress and expelled most of the jewish population.

Okay, but can I just say, Guinevere is doing an AMAZING job of portraying a love triangle without forcing it on the reader. Every romantic comment that the MC makes to the LIs is coded as a choice, with an alternate option that is platonic but equally meaningful, and the LIs never cross those boundaries that the MC sets but are still very clearly flagged as being love with her & aware of their competition for her affection. To give an example of what I mean, I’ve had zero trouble playing as an MC who has eyes only for Arthur, and yet I’m also very aware of Lancelot silently pining for MC and have seen that dynamic being enhanced by conversations that my MC perceives as friendly, like when she asks Lancelot to call her Guinevere instead of Princess in Chapter 7. When everything eventually reaches breaking point and Lancelot confesses their love, it’s going to feel very organic, and even though my MC never really courted Lancelot, the sense of turmoil on her part & of betrayal on Arthur’s will feel very organic too. It’s such a big change from stories like The Royal Romance, where it was impossible to romance anyone other than Liam without leading him on and dumping him mid-proposal, or even stories like Immortal Desires, where you could technically pick whichever LI(s) you wanted but the story just rang false if you didn’t romance both at once. Also, I know that the handling of the love triangle is just one part of PB’s challenge to adapt a fixed legend into a flexible CYOA, and I’m wondering if that extra pressure to think creatively is part of what has led to such a great dynamic. I’m just really, really enjoying it, and that’s rare for Choices nowadays. I can’t wait to see where the writers go next.
