I've been thinking a lot about livestock guardian dogs. Endless things you can do with symbolism...
Devotion to one's flock and what that means; what happens when you lose your flock; to have once been what you now hunt and kill; tenderness begetting violence, violence begetting tenderness;
is there a sense of the true self in the false self? Are they in fact one and the same? Or are these just whispers from the devil that wants to eat your babes?
Does she plant doubt to undo you or free you? And what do you do with that freedom once you have it?
