Thinking about how after the creativity split whenever it happened, that Roman and Remus didn’t hate each other at first. They were just brothers who loved to cause trouble with the other sides like brothers would. But when Roman sees the way Thomas reacts to Remus his instincts kick in and Roman is the one to make Remus a dark side and banish him to wherever dark sides are. Just imagining the last thing Remus ever saw as a normal side was his dear brother betraying him for the greater good of their creator.
Btw I have concepts for each of the dark sides about how they became that way so if you want to hear those I’d happy write a shorts fic series with all the sides!

ah, you know what my first thought was when i got to this scene?
when logan started off as the side who tried to approach problems as fairly and open-mindedly as possible, and encouraged thomas to not jump to conclusions or assume ill intent.
but he gets ignored, underestimated and sidelined so often that he himself started giving in to the cognitive distortions.

do you think janus knows remus so well because after virgil left he was determined to be as close as possible to the only side that would still stick around with him so he made a promise to himself to learn anything and everything he could about remus and that’s why he made no mistakes when making his perfect day but logan, patton, virgil and roman are not as close to each other as janus and remus are and could never replicate that special bond caused by virgil leaving and that’s why they (patton and virgil) left the others (logan and roman) slightly unhappy for a while
