Supreme Court is likely to rule that the president is immune from prosecution for crimes committed while in office. This will not set the framework for the destruction of American democracy at all. No worries.........
They are basing this on Nixon v. Fitzgerald, which ruled that the president has absolute immunity from prosecution for official presidential acts. Trump's lawyer argues that this should include ANY act as president, explicitly including even murder. The court is unlikely to go that far, but is likely to extend presidential immunity beyond just official acts to a certain extent, at least enough to let Trump get away with his coup attempt.
the humble "like" is oft mocked despite what it does for us. "like, three people" is a vastly different statement from "three people". "and i was like 'what the fuck'" is vastly different from "and i said 'what the fuck'". i love you "like" and anyone who says you make people sound stupid will be killed on sight
Pretty sure there is another mouse in my room OR probably in the walls but my cats haven’t picked up on it yet/decided to care. But I hate hearing it rummage
At some point in your life, you were taught that being slightly annoying is an unforgivable sin. Maybe it was by your parents or a teacher or a friend or a bully or an older sibling. But someone taught you that being slightly annoying is a crime punishable by death.
You must unlearn this.
You must accept that all people will be annoying at some point or another in their lives, maybe all of their lives, and that this is okay. It is okay for strangers on the bus, it is okay for children in the grocery store, it is okay for people on social media, and it is okay for you.
If you ever want to truly love your fellow humans, if you ever want to truly love yourself, you must have forgiveness for being annoying.
"Voting doesnt work because not enough people in my country will vote for MY version of communism. We need a violent overthrow of the government to MAKE this happen"
It will likely get lost in the weeds of the U.S. spending billions on war and nothing on its own citizens: but the TikTok sell or ban bill is now law. They have 9 months to at least start the process of selling.
