In general, I don’t really like Moscow, even though I live in Russia, but I love the tragic history of the Novgorod Republic, so I thought that Anna could be the personalization (and later the personalization of the Russian Empire until 1918). That’s how bloody they changed each other through the centuries, changing the vector of foreign and domestic politics.
