I wish I were better at having debate-like discussions with people.
I just tried to have a conversation with someone that is convinced that our schools are teaching kids to be trans. That everyone is just out here turning all the kids trans cause fads.
While I didn’t get outwardly emotional, it is hard to keep my brain calm enough to make all the points that I know otherwise.
But unfortunately, more often than not, even if I were great at discussions, you can’t change someone that thinks that ways mind.

When I was younger one of my first jobs was cleaning houses and I’ll never forget this one house that was covered in sticky notes in random places. I’d find them hidden behind a curtain, on mirrors, inside the fridge, things like that. Some places that you’d look daily and some you’d find only if you were looking for them.
They were brief little love notes written by the woman’s husband after she got really sick. Every time we’d go back there were more. I’ve always thought it was just such a sweet thing. Simple but so so thoughtful. I hope they’re still doing alright and happy together.
