Peggy smiled at the girl. “Relax Miss Thomas. I’m not here to harm you or “fix” you,” she said softly. She reached into the bag and pulled out another file folder, this one with SHIELD’s emblem on it. “I’m here to give you a job. SHIELD could use a woman of your talents.” She smiled and opened the folder which revealed a job description and offer.

Peggy read over the file on the young red-head as she rode the subway. She never minded the public transportation, everyone had places to go and typically didn’t bother anyone else. As the train approached her stop, she put the folder back in her briefcase. She walked out of the doors and continued to her destination.
She saw the redhead sitting at the corner table of coffee shop. She took a deep breath and approached the young woman, sitting across from her at the table. “Miss Thomas,” she pulled the folder out of her bag and placed it on the table, and emblem that included a big X was printed on the front. “Might I have a moment of your time please?”

They were in the war room going over what Steve and the other men had learned during the rescue. There had been a map and he was relaying the information to Colonel Phillips. She liked seeing him like this, authoritative, like the title Senator Brandt had given him was the correct one after all.
She smiled and followed Steve once Phillips had dismissed him. “Well done today, Captain.” She smirked teasingly at him.
