Born from the womb of the Dragon Queen, sired by the Werewolf Chief, trained by the Twelve Samurai of the Sun, he is the ultimate warrior and killing machine. A soldier of the light, a wielder of the dark.
He is the Akahviri.
Something I’ve never understood as a Batman criticism is that he’s “just a rich guy going out to beat up mentally ill people.”
I’m not going to deny that a great majority of his villains are in even greater need of psychiatric help, but like, are you being fr?
They’re… supervillains.
Poor Killer Croc, he’s just a guy who has an awful skin condition— he is eating someone. He is biting faces off as we speak.
Poor Poison Ivy, she just cares about the environment and— uh oh, looks like a whole district of Gotham just became Little Shop of Horrors.
Poor Mr. Freeze, he’s a grieving man in deep depression and— YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT KILLED THE DINOSAURS? THE ICE AGE
I could go on but you get the point. Yes, so many of Batman’s rogues gallery have qualities that are in essence very tragic and bring out our empathy.
But yes, Batman is correct for beating the shit out of them. They’re KILLING PEOPLE. If Bane has a giant fist clasped around your throat so he can use you as a human jackhammer against the concrete, are you going to be like “oh it’s good man, I know you struggle with substance abuse”? No! Who cares if these people have issues, they’re doing objective horrible things!
Now, I agree rehabilitation should definitely be a major focus for these villains. A lot of their issues are fixable, with the right mental help. But when they’re out, being, y’know, VILLAINS, how in the world can you criticize Batman for STOPPING THEM FROM KILLING PEOPLE.
“But what about the non super villains, what about the normal henchman—“
You mean the henchmen that most times are armed with guns and either hurting people in service of an aforementioned villain or for their own purposes? Yeah, I support Batman punching them in the face. There is a time and place for acknowledging mental illness and that time and place is not when they are committing super crimes that get innocent people hurt or killed. That is the time and place for Batman!
So p/atreon is amping up its lockdown on nsfw material, gumroads is amping up its nsfw material-
Pornhub is currently not available in texas.
KOSA keeps coming closer to getting actually passed-
Can people please just admit that nsfw is being driven underground? That adult artists are being banned and pushed out of their spaces?
And dont start saying "oh just the yucky stuff." No, this is *ALL* Nsfw.
We are losing spaces left and right...
Not only that, it feels like we creatives are being killed. And that isnt exactly hyperbolic.
Paypal implemented taxes not that long ago, a hit to those who use it. Artists especially. Midjourney and other ai, stealing artworks, having people think less of artists.
Platforms kicking and banning artists left and right.
It feels like being an indie creator is being choked out of possibility. That you have to be born rich and lucky for your creative dreams to come true.
"oh you're just a porn addict its not that bad"
Its not that bad until your stuff is banned.
We had ROE VS FUCKING WADE thrown out the window. You dont think we could have LGBTQA+ rights thrown out too!?
The internet is becoming SO HOSTILE to creatives of all sorts. Its fucking heartbreaking.
Its like we're entering nsfw prohibition of the internet, buy a 160 dollar keychain for a 'free' picture of a dragon fucking a Volkswagen 😭
Do not make the MISTAKE of thinking you need to put your side forward. The Guardian is transphobic as fuck, and will twist your words. DO NOT ENGAGE.
By the way, this is in the aftermath of the Cass Report, and the goal will be to make Trans DIY something that needs to be regulated or stamped out. DO NOT ENGAGE.
Ugh, was having a great time mocking my recently imprisoned rival when I noticed the camera positioning makes it so that I appear behind the bars, thus framing me as trapped in a metaphorical prison of the narrative, now my whole day is ruined. Fuck.
I really REALLY loved the first "It Lives" story but the sequel was... pretty lackluster? somewhat? I think it's that everyone starts out as strangers. The history of the friend group in the first one really made their characters shine.
Also, I did not have the strength to sacrifice myself in Noah's place. I could not leave my witchy-wife Ava like that. I just didn't have the strength.
What the POST THIS NIJIKA enthusiasts don't want you to know is that this frame is followed by the cutest little bit of animation ever assembled by human hands.
