lately i've been carrying a general disinterest and unmotivation towards my life so i started asking myself what is the least i can possibly do ? what is the bare minimum i can possibly do ? what is something that is so close to doing nothing i can do ? it could be simply getting my books out of my backpack, putting them on my desk, opening them, sitting at my desk , reading the first sentence, or paragraph, or few paragraphs, maybe rewriting key formulas as i go, then maybe after a break listen to music while doing practice questions... that's the trick that has been working for me. not setting high expectations for myself. when i start by the least i do not get overwhelmed by the task waiting ahead.
ps: i've applied this to other areas of my life such as exercice, yoga practice as well as reading.

“You are bigger than what is making you anxious”
Just saw this quote and it lit something inside me. I’m a **kg human being and a thought will defeat me? This one little electrochemical reaction will ruin my day? This thought I can deliberately take my attention away from and alter at any given moment will stop me from loving myself? From living my life? I, who have known myself the most, who had overcome hell throughout the years will let this single thought, this single reaction dictate my worth? Why do I allow this to happen? Am I this unconscious in my day to day life that I fail to realise that I, the consciousness, is in essence worthy beyond all negative thought, experience or opinion?

don't do violence to yourself by staying with someone you've fallen out of love with just for the sake of familiarity and history.

Things that did wonders for my mental health:
having enough sleep and a fixed sleeping and waking time ( at least on the weekdays)
starting my day with gratitude (things to be grateful for: being alive, having a body, a mind, a soul, health, family, friends, food and water, safety, a roof over your head, your education, your job, your free time... seriously there is so much to be grateful for) and praying for my family’s wellbeing
any type of movement - it can be as light or as intense as you’d like it to be: stretch in bed, hop on your yoga mat, go for a walk, go to the gym...
showering = instant rebirth
diligently doing your skincare routine
nourishing your body. no counting calories/ no restricting. feeding your body all the nutrients it needs to function
making a to-do list in the morning
journaling at night
reading before bed
doing a monthly habit tracker
having enough time to get ready in the morning and not rushing
checking in with your loved ones weekly
listening to podcasts - especially motivational and uplifting ones
learning something new everyday - never underestimate the power of those 4- 8 minutes educational videos on youtube
doing yoga
allowing myself to make mistakes

I needed to see this today!
Experiencing burnout in an area you love doesn’t mean you are no longer passionate about that thing, or are any less good at it. It’s often an indication that there are other parts of your life that need your care. A garden looks most beautiful when every flower is watered, and you deserve to nourish yourself in the same way. You will flourish again.

romanticising your life 101: love yourself. adore yourself. buy yourself a pretty bouquet from that quaint little flower shop. pay compliments to yourself whenever you randomly catch a glimpse of your reflection. get yourself gifts that you know you want and love not just things you need. stop waiting on others to do it for you. treat yourself like the princess/prince you are everyday and suddenly your life looks a lot brighter.

have you ever noticed you pick up little habits and phrases from the people you love? it’s no wonder our hearts are so easily broken when people leave. we become a reflection of the people that we care about and those personality traits stick with us even if the people don’t

In moments that you feel insignificant and worthless, I want you to remember that you are the centre of your life. Your life revolves around you. It is so easy to lose focus while working, being there for others, studying, etc. Yes, of course we are part of society and yes, of course we have friendships and relationships that are important, too. But the most important thing in your life is you. It is good to look at the big picture, but sometimes we can get very lost in it, which makes us feel small and unimportant. That is when you need to take a step back and focus more on yourself. It may sound absolutely selfish, but it isn't, I promise, my love. You are not selfish for tending to the essential part of your life: you.
