In fairy tales and fantasy, two types of people go in towers: princesses and wizards.
Princesses are placed there against their will or with the intention of ‘keeping them safe.’
This is very different from wizards, who seek out towers to hone their sorcery in solitude.
I would like a story where a princess is placed in an abandoned tower that used to belong to a wizard, and so she spends long years learning the craft of wizardry from the scraps left behind and becomes the most powerful magic wielder the world has seen in centuries, busts out of the tower and wreaks glorious, bloody vengeance on the fools that imprisoned her.
That would be my kind of story.

A thought
Marinette keeping the pics of Adrien up on her wall becuase she cant bring herself to throw them out, but adding pictures of her other friends as well so it’s less weird. Suddenly it’s Adrien and Alya and Nino and Rose and Kim and everyone at school who’s plastered against her walls. She adds pics of her parents, her neighbors, her Aikido instructor, and all the little kids she babysits. She even asks the regular patrons at the bakery if they’d mind posing for a portrait. (which of course they do because she’d always been so sweet and sunny and who could resist those blue eyes.)
then one day Adrien gets invited back to her house. maybe to study, maybe for video games, the reason isn’t important. what is important is the fact he climbs up into her room and just marvels at all the friends Marinette has. The sheer volume of people she knows is staggering, he thinks, and he spends a good ten minutes looking at every single picture.
Some wonderful things to keep in mind for this scenario:
Adrien spots himself amongst her collection, and while he’s not-so-lowkey ecstatic over the fact someone cares enough about him to hang his picture on their walls, he’s also a bit glum that the only shots she has are from magazines. everyone else gets candid shots or laughing selfies, things that show their personality, but all his photos are fabricated and retouched. Impersonal. He gently brings this to Marinette’s attention, and suggests she take some new pictures of him. Pictures just for her. (cue Marinette dying)
Adrien also happens to spot another familiar feline face on the walls, and just barely swallows down his pleased smirk (’cool it, you’re not in costume’) to find a dozen pics of Chat Noir scattered across Marinette’s room. Most of them he recognizes from the Ladyblog, but there’s one or two that seem to be candid captures of him on patrol. (which yeah, should probably freak him out but damn if Marinette’s photography skills dont make him look heroic as fuck under the moonlight.) He asks- very super casually -if she’s a fan, and is not at all emotionally prepared when Marinette launches into a speech about how Chat Noir is one of the most selfless, kind, and underappreciated people in all of Paris, and how he deserves just as much recognition as Ladybug for keeping the city safe. “Everyone needs to remember, his destruction is what balances Ladybug’s creation. Without each other, they’d be nothing,” Marinette prattles on. (Adrien nods mutely, desperately trying and failing not to fall in love.)
Speaking of Ladybug… she’s noticeably absent from the walls. When asked about it, Marinette grows vague, saying something about how she’s waiting for the right picture or what not. something unique. something that isnt already on the walls of every Ladybug fan in Paris. ‘Something unique…’ Adrien muses, asking Marinette if he might barrow her camera for the night, ‘I might just be able to do that…’

Guys, there are over 9,000 headcanons about the main duo revealing their identities to one another.
There’s no telling how it will actually happen, but when it happens, I really hope we collectively find fanart/fanfics that called it. The fans who even accidentally figured out the reveal scenario will be legends.

Drinks all of the coffee
It’s not the coffee that’s the problem, it’s the sugar. More specifically, Adrien requires about five spoons in his morning cup, and they run out fast.
Marinette can go without sweetener if need be, but, in all honesty, there’s no way that much pure sugar intake can be good, and she worries.
Brings up adopting a pet
“We can’t keep them all,” Marinette says firmly when Adrien comes home with a box full of abandoned kittens and a face sadder than any of the furry ones.
Adrien agrees reluctantly.
Six months later, they’re feeding an excess of cats, and still idly telling each other that they should put up signs or something.
(They never do.)
(Then Adrien repeats the process with puppies, and then a bird with a broken wing, and someone’s unwanted hamsters, and then with a horse, then one of the puppies has puppies, and Marinette says, “We can’t possibly afford to keep all of them.”
“Why not?” says Adrien and his ridiculous trust fund and his government job and his cat hat.
Marinette, with a lapful of Newfoundland-sized mutt, doesn’t have a good answer to that.)
Kills the bugs
Both of them are a little too soft-hearted for regular bug murder, but both can do it when need be. Most bugs are quietly relocated.
That is not to say that Marinette has never heard a very loud shriek and charged into a bathroom with frying pan in hand only to find Adrien standing on the sink while a cockroach scurries around on the ground, but times like that are fairly rare, especially after they start setting traps.
Cooks the meals
That’s one chore that’s on rotation, because Marinette knows her way around a kitchen, and Adrien is a quick study.
Meals by Marinette are usually homey, fresh-baked affairs, while Adrien’s meals tend to be more of the ‘hey look at this really neat recipe I found for green-bean curry!’ variety. Marinette is usually prepared to call for backup dinner on Adrien’s days, but sometimes he hits on really amazing dishes that she adds to her roster.
Starts getting into holidays way before they should
It’s a contest. One year Adrien surprises her with a house covered top to bottom in decorations the day after Black Friday, and she retaliates the next year by wearing a Santa hat to patrol the day after Halloween.
Chat has to stew in that defeat for a while.
Initiates the couple selfies
They never get posted anywhere, but Adrien’s phone’s camera roll is 90% candids of Marinette going about her day-to-day life.
(She doesn’t mind, but also doesn’t think about it much.
Sometimes she catches Adrien smiling adoringly as he scrolls through his phone, and blushes like a fire engine whenever she remembers what’s on there, and what he’s probably smiling at.)
Forgets the birthdays and anniversaries
They are weirdly synchronized in their forgetfulness. Marinette has never once forgotten Adrien’s birthday since she’s learned it. Adrien remembers every single anniversary. Marinette’s birthday is simply a fact of life because, even if neither of them remember, there is always a Very Big Party thrown for her somewhere. It’s kind of hard to forget a date when someone’s constantly asking you if you got the streamers or reserved the restaurant or invited that one cousin.
Before they have kids, Adrien’s birthday is usually celebrated with a day off for movies and trying out Marinette’s new lingerie designs, with a night out with friends taking place the next weekend.
After Emma turns five, she’s heartbroken to find that Papa doesn’t have nearly as big a party, and insists on throwing one herself. From age 29 and up, Adrien’s sun revolution conquering celebrations are given a lot more pomp and circumstance.
Always ends up with too much junk food after grocery shopping
“I mean…” says Marinette, staring at the candy selection of their local store. “We really should be eating healthy right now…”
Adrien, standing beside her, nods.
They glance nervously at one another.
“I mean,” Adrien echoes. “Just one bag couldn’t hurt, right?”
“Right,” Marinette agrees fervently.
They both dive for the selection.
(And then leave the store with at least one bag of each kind.)
Nicknames the other
Chat does his best to corner that particular market, and kind of succeeds. Ladybug tries to come up with as many variations of ‘minou’ as she possibly can. Chat still wins, but that’s mostly because he likes hearing her say his name so much.

So in the episode Volpina I laugh because Volpina creates the illusion that she's taken Adrien and Ladybug is fReAkiNG oUT because "ffs Adriens been kidnapped". But Cat Noir is like "lol no it's not him." But LB doesn't agree and CN just sighs as says "I'm not even going to try to argue." cause he knows how stubborn his crush can be. And that summarizes their whole relationship and I think that's beautiful.
