dude i can not stop thinking about how the finale of s4 is so promising. like... mike, el, and will walking together (love triangle) and then will stops, and MIKE STOPS WITH HIM. and el KEEPS. WALKING. then she KNEELS DOWN AND PICKS UP HER AND MIKES FLOWER AS IT DIES. and the whole time, will and mike, jonathan and nancy, hopper and joyce are behind her, paired up together. and this gives me so much hope because el does NOT need a relationship right now. her entire arc this season was about her finding herself and realizing she is not the monster, something that mike (at least while they are dating) makes her feel like she is. so yeah, i might be a little furious at the duffers if byler isnt canon.

I'm thinking of writing a byler fanfic revolving University AU (with 19 y/o byler), slow burn, friends to enemies/rivals to friends to lovers, with Will being an Art student and Mike being a history student, byler roommates, kinda inspired by the lams fanfic "And they were roommates... " by SilentSamLikesHam on Ao3, with a really nice touch of mutual pining and two dorks in love, set on this era (2022), how do you think? Would any of you read it?
