“Akimoto-senpai...” Arisa whispered, lips only an inch away from the other girl’s skin. The kiss was gentler than Arisa expected, offset only by the metalic taste of blood which oozed from her lips.
When Akimoto took her hand, the earlier fight was forgotten, and Arisa wondered bitterly if someone as broken as her was allowed this brief strip of happiness.

“Come quickly, Arisa.” Saki’s voice was monotonous as always, but there was a quirk to her lips. Arisa wanted to kiss them.
She ran to where Saki was stood, hair whipping wildly in the breeze, the setting sun sending eerie shadows looming across her pale skin. Saki should have been scary, or at least intimidating, but all Arisa could think was how beautiful she was.
“The view is lovely.” Saki whispered, and Arisa took her hand.
“Yeah, it is.”
She hadn’t looked at the sunset once.
