Banger cartoon. I used to watch it as a child and I rewatched it recently. Super surreal and weird, but kinda slow-paced. They really don't make them like that anymore.
And the soundtrack by Lady Pank is a real highlight.
I hate carrots.
I made my first fanart of Jacek from my favourite Polish animated series/movie “O dwóch takich co ukradli księżyc” based on a book by Kornel Makuszyński. I loved this show when I was a kid (I watched it ALL THE TIME) and I rewatched it a few weeks ago. This is still great! Characters are so great, animation and designs are very simple but perfect and artistic, music?!…still brilliant and very catchy. Go and check it out!

Just warning everybody, The Mermaid's Tongue demo contains an ABSOLUTE TON of unused assets from the full game, including 3D models and textures of the clues, the names and character sprites of the suspects, roughly a dozen music tracks from the OST, etc. Just about the only thing you won't find are voice lines for the suspects.
I was extracting the assets just to get Sally and Grimoire's dialogue, but found a lot more than I was expecting.
THERE ARE POTENTIALLY HUGE SPOILERS IN THE DEMO'S FILES. EXTRACT ASSETS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

if u missed my stream yesterday, i tried to boot up bravery network online just to mess around with singleplayer for a bit. if you haven’t heard of the game it’s a turn based competitive game that plays a lot like pokemon at the competitive level. it also has a gorgeous art style and incredible music. it never really blew up, but it had its dedicated fans and i liked it quite a lot back when it came out.
sadly it turns out that game’s servers went offline around march of this year! and the game can’t even run singleplayer without being online so the game at this point is just a text box that tells you servers are down. trying to look at the game’s website and the collective that made the game’s website they’ve both been turned into obvious spam.
so i spent an hour or so delving through the games (now mostly inactive) discord server and tried to learn what i can. the devs have been completely silent on social media for about 2 years, but someone who emailed the lead dev damian about the servers received a reply.
it’s weird damian said this since the servers have been down for about 9 months now with zero communication and the steam page for the game still remaining up with no indication the game is completely nonfunctional. i dont think anyone is trying to run a scam here or anything since refunds exist, but it is kinda shitty and unprofessional.
besides that the game’s last real appearance was on beastie ball’s kickstarter page showing damian as a collaborator.
people on the discord were happy to see the game acknowledged on any level. i am too.
i really loved bravery network online. i didn’t spend too much time with it, but i had a LOT of hope for what that game could become. they made a game like competitive pokemon WAY more accessible and in my opinion more fun. despite the hardships the game had i tried to be as positive as i could about it, but at this point i’m really disappointed that nobody could be bothered to stamp an “on indefinite hold” on the steam page. or worst case scenario just delist it. if possible i would hope some kind of offline patch would be made, or even some way to let the game run peer to peer but with how much of the system was server-side i have no idea how much of that is possible.
really i just want to post about this here because i don’t know how long the discord server will hold out. it’s not completely dead, but its far from active. it’s impossible to say how long any pages or servers or anything attached to this game will stick around. please know that this game mattered to me and some other people quite a lot. that’s all.
if you want to see a bit of the game i did stream it back when it was still around. theyre some of my first streams so theyre probably not great, but hey its not like u can go play it yourself

Hey you. Did you know Mortis Ghost, the creator of OFF, the beloved indie rpgmaker videogame, had made a webcomic? A FINISHED webcomic even? It's called Dr Cataclysm. No one seems to talk about it and I'm sick of it!
The plot is generally more straightforward and light-hearted than OFF, but the art and writing is charming as always. The setting has a sort of vaguely science fantasy vibe, but it doesn't concern itself with hard worldbuilding as much as aesthetics, and that is a good thing.
And the characters. I love them so much. My second favourite intergalactic courriers. The english translation is a little... quirky at times, but it really adds to the charm of the humour and interactions of the characters. I would like to know if the dialogue sounds just as wacky in french though.
You will read it. This is not a suggestion. It's an order.

A prequel fic to Mutafukaz where Taz and a few other co-conspirators (OCs) realize the evil of the belief system they'd been brainwashed into and form a secret resistance against the Macho shadow government. The big challenge is with properly characterizing all the new characters and showing how each of them broke away from their old worldview. Taz himself is also difficult, as he's a big enigma in the original comics, with his true motivations and beliefs never being shown. It's hard to make him feel in line with his original personality while also making him more explicitly sentimental and introspective.
At the end of the fic, all of the OC resistance members would be hunted down and killed, leaving Taz as the only survivor and tying neatly into the start of Mutafukaz.
What's the fic you would write if you had the energy for it? Ambitious, complex, novel-length—the fanfic you'd make if you could.

Seriously.#Bottom of the barrel stuff. I'm not skilled enough to tackle subject matter this heavy.

Kinnie (Maltese pronunciation: [kinːiː]) is a Maltese bittersweet carbonated soft drink brewed from bitter oranges and extracts of wormwood. It was first introduced in 1952 by the brewery Simonds Farsons Cisk, and continued to be produced by Farsons in Attard, Malta.
Kinnie is brown in colour, and is drunk straight or mixed with alcohol. It holds a reputation for being Malta's favourite non-alcoholic beverage, sometimes even called the 'national soft drink'.
History
Kinnie is the brainchild of Simonds Farsons Cisk's managing director Anthony Miceli Farrugia and was first produced in 1952 as an alternative to the cola drinks that proliferated in post-war Europe, specifically Coca-Cola. Its taste was deliberately kept different from its international competition, as Farrugia wanted Kinnie to truly stand out. In 1975, it became the soft drink of the year of the French Comité International d'Action Gastronomique et Touristique.
Kinnie's recipe is kept secret, though it is speculated to contain ginseng and rhubarb.
A Diet version for Kinnie appeared in 1984. In 2007, a new low calorie version of Kinnie called Kinnie Zest was made available. This has a stronger orange flavour, and is advertised as only having one calorie per bottle. Simonds started selling Kinnie Vita in 2014, which is naturally sweetened using a blend of sugar and stevia leaf extract.
Sales locations
Kinnie is exported to the UK, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Libya, and Canada, while also being selectively available in Japan.
Kinnie is produced in Australia by Maltese Beverages Pty Limited, under a licence from Farsons.
In March 2009, it was announced that Farsons were going to start exporting Kinnie into Russia. In the summer of 2010, Farsons and Kinnie UK Limited soft-launched Kinnie and its two variants in London's West End, reaching almost 100 trial outlets by September 2010.
In April 2021, Kinnie launched an alcoholic version of the drink called 'Kinnie Spritz'.
