okay so I want you to rate this dragon but for context: he unleashed a 1000 year war against mankind after colonizers murdered his sister and drank her blood, and the catholic church denies any claims about the incident

also he confronts his (dragon equivalent of a monsterfucker) brother and basically insults his wife (which he also ate out of love)

I’m not sure what to think of this, however, very based and very spiky classic dragon. Will give an 8/10 for that alone.

When the first book came out it was in my middle school’s book fair. I had to read it. I consumed that series so quickly. It had me so hooked…not to the same level as some other things around the same time, such as the Inheritance Cycle, but I loved it nonetheless. I had actually been keeping with the most recent pentalogy for a while but not anymore, so idk where it left off.

was having a hard time choosing anything to present since i really haven't been writing much, however, this was a paragraph i'm still happy with. it's six lines from our monster hunter au, but i hope it still suffices.

Multicolored lances of frost haphazardly crisscrossed the walls and bits of broken timbers stuck dangerously out of the snow, yet to be covered by the gale. Giant cracks laced the towering surfaces where something massive must have slammed into them; long, shallow scratches wove a tapestry above them. Alfred couldn’t fathom what made them, though he had to think it must be great, rending talons. Unnatural pockmarks interrupted the scarring where chunks of ice had been gracelessly felled or stabbed into. Terrifying beauty filled this place of struggle, an arena that could not have been used that long ago. The breaks in the timbers were fresh and bright, and though the bolts of frost no longer glittered anew, they still shone with unnatural colors that stuck out from the blue, blue wall.

Seven lines from the chapter of Nerium Oleander that is going to give me gray hairs as I edit because what kind of detective story can be lacking a chase scene? Certainly, not this one (or maybe yes, we'll see when the edition is over)

The chase is thrilling but the surroundings are blurry, the sweet smell of cotton candy overwhelms him, it's nauseous, sickly sweet as he pushes away the onlookers that stay on his path. With heavy breaths, he stretches out his hand trying to grasp onto the man, but he's faster than him, a sleazy snake that eludes from his reach.
