Redrew one of my earliest Hilda drawings from 2021!! I just watched the finale and it was FANTASTIC. What a show. I’m going to miss it for sure, but it’s definitely the kind of thing you can revisit again and again without getting bored.

I feel like there still could be so much more! I want to know more about the elves! About the puka! So many side characters could have gotten more episodes that I would have loved. More about some other characters who I won’t name for spoilers sake! This season answered a lot of questions, but it did’t answer all of them and it sure as heck raised a lot more. The Hilda team really did a fantastic job creating a world that feels alive and expansive, it still feels like there’s so much left to explore! I really hope we get some more Hilda media in the future, though I don’t know what form that would take.

Anyway! I love this show (and the comics) as it is, I just want more of it!!

I made this comic for a creative writing assignment, which was to do 4 pages with absolutely no dialogue. The concept probably came from a mix of The Faerie Queene (which I’ve been reading) and Tears of the Kingdom (which I’ve been playing a lot of.) It took way longer than intended, but here’s the result!

This takes place right after defeating the Chairman, when Scratch finally has the mental space to process where Molly is. I actually think that the fact that Scratch DIDNT have a reaction like this in the show lends credibility to the theory that he’s the wraith of that townsperson, Todd, because he would know what a wraith was in that case.
