He walked into the dorm room, your cries echoing off the walls. He looked up and saw your eyes glistening with tears and his whole world crumbled. With the blink of an eye he dropped the books and the parchment in his hand and ran towards your side. He pulled you in his chest, his lips and scent lingering on you. the cries and the weeps coming from you broke him. He whispered quietly, “ What’s wrong darling?”. You whispered back even quieter, not even a mouse could hear, “She’s dead, my grandmother, she’s passed”. He heard the crack in your voice when it came to those last words. He had never comforted someone when it came to death. In fact he believed himself to be the center of it all, the thoughts of his lycanthropy ringing in his mind. So he held you, whispering sweet nothings into your ear. He knew it would hurt now but he also knew he’d never leave your side.
