Charlemagne

12th PALADIN Ganelon the Traitor. An another nephew of Charlemagne, he's said to have led Roland and the paladins to their demise by plotting the fatal ambush of roncevaux... His holy sword was called Murgleis "Death brand" said to be the sharpest of all blades.

For the longest time in french tradition "Ganelon" was considered the most heinous and archetypal representation of treachery, His name itself becoming an insult. Even in Dantes inferno ganelon is at the bottom of hell in cocytus for what is considered the greatest of sins.

Huon of Bordeaux. Sent on a impossible quest by traitors, huon meets the king of fairies Oberon and obtains a cup that never runs out of wine for the pure of heart and a horn to summon Oberon and his army of elves and fairies. But he can only do so if he never lies.

Otuel. Facing Charles, he insulted the king urged him to give up his faith. During a duel against Roland a dove landed on Otuel's head, miraculously converting him instead. Later when another andalusian knight came to insult Charles, Otuel chose to face him. His sword is called Corrouge.

Olivier vs Fierabras

Ogier the Dane. Ogier was not only a paladin but also an important legend in danemark. In most versions Ogier used to oppose charlemagne for the death of his son at the hands of one of charlemagne's sons. They later reconcile however.

Turpin the Bishop. And his holy sword, Almace. He was one of charlemagne's favorite nephews with Roland. He was considered the most righteous of the paladins. He died surrounded by the bodies of 400 of his ennemies.

Fierabras was a saracen knight. He decided to join the paladin after his defeat against Olivier who came to retrieve some holy treasure he was guarding. Fierabras Uses 3 swords: Florence, Baptism and Graban. He also has 2 barrels of Balm that are supposed to belong to the christ himself! he uses it to heal his opponent before a duel so they can fight to their utmost capacity! Forgot to mention that he's also an actual giant (apparently somewhere around 4 meters tall)

7th PALADIN. Maugis was a powerful sorcerer and necromancer said to be able to stop the sun itself. He was known for providing most of the paladins with powerful weapons like durandal and flamberge whose origins were always mysterious. For he is also known to be a great thief!

5th PALADIN Astolfo was a prince of england. He is considered the absolute weakest, stupidest and hottest paladin. He is frequently under estimated but when it counts the madman pulls it off, and who knows he might even save the whole kingdom from total destruction once or twice.

4th PALADIN Bradamante. She is Renaud's sister and may even be the strongest paladin. She's armed with a magical lance that is able to unhorse anyone it touches. She's in love with an knight of al andaluz called Roger. The success of their relationship might be more important than you'd think

3RD PALADIN Renaud/Rinaldo The insurgent. Renaud was one of the most famous paladins, his deeds were as numerous and glorious as these of roland. Yet one day after a grave incident, renaud and his 4 brothers fled the court, the 4 of them on the back of their magical horse Bayard

Bayard was born of a dragon and mythical snake, making him a sort of fairy. His body would extend and served as a precious companion to Renaud and his brothers. He was given to him along with his sword FLAMBERGE by his cousin, the wizard Maugis.

2nd PALADIN Oliver/Olivier Was Roland's best friend and confident and also the one to scold him with the most severity when he needs it. He was considered the wisest of the paladins and second in strength only to the likes of roland and renaud. his sword is called Hauteclaire.

1st of Charlemagne's Paladins! Roland/Orlando. Roland was the most famous and renown of the paladins. Known to have incredible strength and diamond skin. He was also the wielder of Durandal, a legendary sword matched only by the likes of Excalibur. Roland was Strong and Loyal but he also had a very violent and radical side to him, a side that would lead him to madness.
