Hi guys!
I came back to a sweet message and a bunch of fun discussion in the tags, and that makes me so happy. Y’all are great, and it’s so fun to be part of this weird little community.
But man did I have a good time not being on tumblr. I’ve had an awful time lately trying to curate a dash that is engaging without being stressful. I think the tumblr format is just not working for me right now.
So I’m gonna vacate for another couple months. I’ll check in around New Year, and meanwhile happy holidays and a blessed nanowrimo to all who observe :P

This is me! You can also find me occasionally on the Leverage discord!
Hey folks, I'm taking a tumblr break for October. Gonna practice reading books and looking at clouds. P sure anyone who might wanna get ahold of me has my number and/or discord, both of those are still good.
Speaking of books, one rec before I head: I just read Piranesi by Susanna Clarke and holy shit where has this book been all my life. If you haven't read it I strongly recommend that you read it WITHOUT reading anything ABOUT it first, cause half the fun is figuring out wtf is going on. Also it's only 250 pages, I read it in a day, so there's not much to lose if you end up not liking it.
Okay that's all have a good spooky season!

Given how much tumblr likes both leverage and days of the week, kind of surprised this isn’t a thing. Happy no-stabbing Wednesday y’all.

okay so. this is VERY hypothetical but i’ve been thinking about putting some stuff on a redbubble-adjacent site. but if i were to try this one i would have to suck it up and ask a very stupid question:
What does this line MEAN? I’ve never understood it. Is it just saying that she’s very small but very crazy? Like Stitch?

Rewatching Leverage again and I’m just so fascinated by Nathan Ford. This man manages to be a scary criminal mastermind, a Stressed Father, a Sad but Handsome Antihero, a mischiveous little trickster guy, and a fucking loser all in the span of an episode. And somehow he is also truly Just Some Dude
He has “a feral cat sneaked into my house so now I have no other option than to go buy cat food and a litter box” kind of energy. That literally happens in the show except instead of a cat it’s criminals. He slays in a suit but anytime he gets the chance to play a character he chooses to be the most loser of a man he can come up with. What an interesting critter of a guy

We’re done here. You don’t have to agree with me but I also don’t have to clog my nice fun special interest blog with arguing about it.

That, really sucks, but I don’t think John Rogers has the power to write Kane out? He’s a consultant not a writer/show runner for redemption
Yeah I mean none of these decisions are made by a single person. But he’s the one with a post going around about what he would do in this situation. He still has his name on the show and his buddies on board, there’s plenty he could do or say even if he doesn’t get to make the end decision. And maybe he did say things! I don’t know what conversations were had in private, I just know that I haven’t personally heard any PUBLIC concern from the creators and that bothers me. Bothers me no matter who is making the decision, but it feels hypocritical of Rogers in specific because of that post.
As for the other anon, I have zero interest in hosting an armchair debate about Whether They Did It. Gross. My point is I’m uncomfortable that similar allegations were made in both cases and they appear to have been treated very differently by the people in charge. That is all.

What was that post about John Rogers (not?) exploding characters about?
Tumblr media
In 2020 Timothy Hutton was accused of rape. He was promptly written out of Redemption, that’s why Nate is dead.
In 2022 Christian Kane was accused of a pattern of sexual harassment and intimidation on set during filming of the original Leverage. Eliot is still on Redemption, as far as I know his role has not changed at all.
Obvious trigger warnings in the articles linked
