Amazon has the cutest doll outfits! American Girl branded clothing is really cute, but it is so expensive I try to only get it on sale or with reward certificates. It's definitely a "special occasion" thing. And this outfit is just as nice as a lot of the AG branded items! It might be one of my favorites I've found. I'd love to find a similar top with pink stripes!

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

My first project doll, a JLY 7! (Also my first classic mold doll somehow?) Her condition wasn't too bad, besides a lot of dirt and super loose limbs. Them legs were DANGLIN. The ends of her hair feel a bit rough but at least it's clean and brushed, and not super frizzy.
I had been really wanting to try and fix up an older doll, because I fix up stuffed animals all the time and it's so fun! I restrung her (after watching a ton of videos to see how on earth to go about doing that 😆), cleaned her up, and washed her hair just to make sure it wasn't like, gross. I'm so happy with how she turned out, even though her legs could be a bit tighter still. She can stand and hold a pose, so that's good enough for me! I'm so happy to have her in my collection 🥰
In the after photos, you can really see how dirty she was if you look at the magic eraser next to her!

My Morisaka (formerly Shinada!) Global family has grown by 3! The bunny and shiba were gifts from one of my best friends, I was so surprised 🥹 The tan lop is my favorite of the bunnies, and I'd really been wanting a shiba! The red panda I bought from someone in a Facebook group, who is such a great seller! Highly recommend purchasing from her.
I found names for the bunny and the red panda so quick, but I can't decide what to name the shiba! Anyone have suggestions? 👀 All my Morisaka Global plush have food/beverage names; I've got a Mocha, Yogurt, Pudding, Pocky, Twix, Truffles, Goma, Senbei, Peaches, Strudel, Flan, and Chai in my family so far!

ok im going to be getting this bab to customize tomorrow (technically later today) and i was just wondering if you could teach me some tips for a newbie? i feel like i have everything remembered correctly but im scared ill mess this up but i also think it cant be that hard because its a relatively easy design (i dont want to say what im making but its somewhat obscure). sorry im being annoying with this ask just i really like your work and you inspired me to even want to do this
I'm so excited for you, I hope you have a lot of fun customizing your new friend! It makes me so happy that I inspired you to give it a try 🥹 You're not annoying at all! I'm glad to see more people trying their hand at customizing plush, it really is so much fun! And you're right, it's really not that hard once you get the hang of it 😊
My basic advice for people starting out is to learn some basic hand stitches like the ladder stitch, backstitch, straight stitch, and basting stitch; always use more pins than you think you need; never glue what you can sew instead; and always take your time! A few stitches can make a big differerence in the shape of a plush, so if you're not happy with the outcome, you can always carefully remove the stitches and try again! Mistakes are inevitable, but a lot of them can be undone, especially with sewing. A seam ripper is a very important tool!
With dyes, mistakes can be a little more permanent, so I like to add a little bit of dye at a time to my pot until I get the color I want. If it ends up too light after washing and rinsing, you can always do another dyebath, but if it's too dark there's not much you can do (the rit color remover, for example, is for their all purpose dye, not the dyemore for synthetics). If you are using dyes, be sure to get the correct one! All purpose is for natural fabrics, so it won't work on plush; you need the Dyemore. Once you use a pot and utensils for dye, it is no longer safe to cook with, so you'll want to keep a specific dye pot and utensils that aren't mixed in with the cooking ones.
On the subject of utensils, make sure you have good fabric scissors if you plan to cut fabric! Don't use them for anything but fabric, and don't let anyone else use them either 👀 Regular craft scissors can absolutely mangle the edges of your fabric. It's also good to have a pair of small sewing scissors with pointed ends. Great for cutting threads, or for cutting out tiny pieces of fabric! If you're removing safety eyes, my tool of choice is a ratcheting cable cutter but people also have good results with bolt cutters! I have a tutorial on Tumblr for safety eye replacements.
I'd be happy to answer any specific questions you have also :)

Today i learned people are using my mew Build-A-Bear photo for ebay listings evidently? It's not even that good a photo 😑
I feel like googling to find a photo takes longer than just opening up your phone camera and taking a picture of the item you have, but ok. And at least one of the listings wasn't a scam because the buyer did receive a mew BaB (I found out about this whole thing when someone posted a screenshot of the listing because they bought it and it came in the mail, apparently it was dirty though).
I guess if you see a listing with this photo, don't buy it probably? This isn't the first time someone has used one of my photos in a listing for a Pokémon Build-A-Bear, oddly enough 🤷‍♀️ I really don't want to have to watermark all my photos (I am too lazy) but also I don't want people to possibly be scammed with my plush photos.

I really love Chongker plush 😭 I recently got the large sitting weighted panda, who is designed to look like famous panda Hehua at 5 months old.
Just like Tao, my red panda, Hehua is handmade with excellent quality faux fur and silicone paw pads to be super lifelike! She has such a sweet face, and she is HEAVY. She weighs almost 5 pounds, and her rounded shape makes her so nice to hold in your lap! The price is amazing for a plush of her size that is made by hand. I got her off the tiktok shop (I swore I'd never but from tiktok but to be fair I saved like $40 with discounts >_>) but they also sell on Amazon and Etsy!

An exciting package arrived today!
Jeremy's and my 16 year anniversary is the 15th, and he let me have my gift when it got here today 🥰 He could have made me wait, but he didn't. I hope his gift ships soon 👀
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Who's in the box? 👀
The package includes a comb, a letter, and care instructions. The comb is nice, too! It looks like something you'd use on a dog or cat, I'll probably add it to my little "plush fur maintenance" toolkit.

"I'm free! Hello!"
This is the CUTEST red panda I have ever seen. Look at those BEANS. The paw beans and claws are silicone, and it seems like the nose is too! It's so unique, I've never had a plush made with silicone paw pads and nose. They're so nice to touch! The whiskers look really neat, with the black and white banding.

He's amazingly soft, his fur is fantastic quality. It reminds me of Douglas brand. I did find a fair amount of those lil crunchy fur bits along seams but like, that's pretty standard. They're all handmade but they are still made in large batches from what I can tell so they wouldn't necessarily have the time to pick them out. The comb helps though!
He's a super floppy, nicely weighted plush, and what a sweet face he has! It's a nice blend of lifelike and simple/cute. I REALLY love how he's stuffed. His head and nose are firm and his body and limbs are stuffed more lightly, which is how I stuff my own plush!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I put a little bow around his neck, with a bell! I want to get him a collar though. Or a bandana!
Now to decide on a name for this precious baby 🥰

with apologies to lewis carroll
The Walrus and her Fairy friend Were strolling down the block; They paused and then debated on Which one of them should knock: ‘You know, this might be easier If we just pick the lock!'
‘If I’m the one to do it And they find me standing here, Do you suppose,' the Walrus asked, That they would shriek in fear?' The Fairy said ‘I bet they would,’ And shed a bitter tear.
The Walrus and the Fairy then Walked on a little more, And came upon the house That they’d identified before. They flipped a coin to see which one Would now approach the door.
‘O Tumblrina, let me in!' The Walrus did beseech. ‘A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk, For I have much to teach.’ (The sounds of this discussion Were within the Fairy’s reach.)
The Tumblr user looked at him, But never a word they said: Too wowed by this new circumstance To even shake their head. ‘Would you prefer,’ the Walrus sighed, A Fairy’s knock instead?’
‘The time has come,' the Fairy said, Accepting his new role, ‘We must admit this visit Is in service of a goal: And then the two together cried, ‘We’re here to take a poll!’
