and it was you, person who felt the need to tell me how pissed they were i set a story in a place they knew

and it was you, person who told me i should re-write an entire story to change how someone spoke

and it was you, person who left shitty posts here, like i wouldn't see them

and it was you, every person who negged or drove me to tears tearing apart something i made for free and as a way to try to escape all the real life bullshit and because i wanted to share something that might bring someone else some measure of happiness, too

anyway, all of you? maybe you should fucking think before you hurt the next person. how about that? wouldn't that be nice?

The first memory is the sun-kissed strip of skin across Cody’s nose and cheeks, the dust in his hair that blurs out the grey, and the way his fingers part the soil and press into the divots a fat, yellow seed. The air bakes around him. He is kneeling, facing away, but he’ll turn now and again to emphasise a point or check Obi-Wan hasn’t dozed off in the shade of the house.
