An unpopular opinion on The Idea of You because of various posts...
Maybe give it a chance before hating the...er idea of it :)
I think the fan fic thing has been blown way out of proportion and, if people did their homework, would know the book wasn't just based on 1D and Harry. The author was influenced by Eddie Redmayne, some other actor or singer, and her husband.
It was recently screened and got good reviews from people other than Nicholas Galitzine fans.
And, honestly, isn't ALL fiction fanficy for one person or another?
And the one or two songs we've heard so far are actually good! They weren't stupid to get a songwriter who wrote boy band songs to write them for the boy band in the movie.
Now, for the age difference. They upped his age from the book (I think it was 20) to something like 24 and Anne Hathaway's character's age is 40ish. 1) this is acceptable and 2) he's NOT Harry Styles and 3) younger guys love older women.
All I'm saying is, when I was young, my mother made me go see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. I poo pooed it because a surfer type Joseph and Elvis type pharoah seemed so stupid and now, many years later, I saw it 3 more times, have 5 or so different versions of the soundtrack, mooned over Donny Osmond playing Joseph...
Basically, please stop being so fucking negative over something you haven't experienced yet.

I think the dream I had last night is proof that I could NEVER be a doctor who companion. I was with Donna and 10, on a hostile space station type thing. And instead of doing ANYTHING HELPFUL while Donna was being chased and prophesied to die, I…. was buying pretty alien beads from the alien craft store. To make necklaces. WHILE DONNA WAS BEING CHASED. they were very pretty beads tho.

So I'm watching doctor who for the first time and can I say, I dont get the hyp so far. Like its a b-rated sci-fi show where these guys have the darkest humor about some terrible stuff.
Like the doctor geniciding a bunch of spider baby people because the mom though he was some ass.
Or right now im watching the episode where the doctor becomes human and "john smith" asks the nurse who is questioning whether he is human or not if the nurse finds him to vanilla for her and the doctor a fanciful prince.
While there are children arming themselves with guns preparing to shoot their friends like wtf? You rough draft of a G.D person.
