This started off as a fed-up Diana moodboard, but then the news dropped so…

guys!

I know many people stopped fighting for AWAE renewal for many different reasons. Whether it’s because you lost hope, or you needed to stay away because of your health or work/school responsibilities or you just don’t really care that much anymore… that’s all valid.

BUT January 3rd is coming and it’s our big chance. More than a month later we’re still trending, there were articles written about us, the show is being constantly compared to Little Women, thanks to our campaign many new people are discovering the show, amazing team of people is running a fan-funded marketing campaign that is reaching thousands of people on social media, people are printing self-made posters and cards and they’re promoting the show locally, Disney+ is communicating with us for whatever reason…. Moira is suspiciously quiet and she didn’t even post when trailer came out or when the soundtrack was released. I’m not saying it means something but…

Anyway, please find some time to come back to Twitter on January 3rd to show the same strength we did back in November when we reached 1M tweets in ONE day. The hope really isn’t lost, and that day is crucial.

Anne With an E is a wholesome period drama. It includes many universal storylines that showcase a myriad of important themes. If you’re looking for a reason to start Anne With an E, or are wondering why we want to save it from cancellation, here are just a few. #saveawae

LISTEN UP TUMBLR!! STOP SCROLLING

NETFLIX IS AT IT AGAIN CANCELLING A SHOW THAT DESERVED MORE EXPOSURE. YES I’M TALKING ABOUT ANNE WITH AN E. 

It’s a wonderful loose adaptation of Anne of Green Gables that you surely have seen through cute gifsets like this 

It’s about family it’s about friendship it’s about belonging and it’s probably the purest, loveliest show you’ll ever see. It’s written by women, directed by many female directors, the producers and showrunner are also female, this is RARE AS HELL. It introduced LGBT characters, it introduced many POC characters, native americans, it started talking about residential schools (and that storyline isn’t even RESOLVED), it talks about consent and women’s rights, it had JUST introduced a character that was deaf and mute. It’s just about as great as it could possibly be, yet this might be all over after JUST 3 SEASONS. 

It’s not even out on Netflix yet, and it’s already announced that it will be the last season. It aired on CBC already, so we KNOW the season is good (even more, it’s AMAZING), but there isn’t enough ads for it and it’s not promoted enough (if not at all) by Netflix. 

THIS IS A BROOKLYN 99 SITUATION. We need YOU to help us save the show even if you don’t watch it. 

Here’s what you can do:

1. TALK ABOUT IT. As much as you can! Talk about it on the internet AND around you. Too many people reply under gifsets by asking what show it is. 

2. Tweet with the hashtags  #renewawae or #renewannewithane, tweet @cbc​ or @netflix​. We need to make noise so they understand these stories matter!

3. WATCH IT. So many people say Shirbert looks so cute but that they’ve never seen a single episode of the show, well NOW IS THE TIME. You can watch the episodes already out on the CBC website by using a VPN (DO NOT PIRATE THEM. WATCHING THEM ON THE WEBSITE ISN’T HARD, IT’S GREAT QUALITY, AND IT GETS THE VIEWS IN)

4. STREAM IT TOO WHEN ITS OUT ON NETFLIX, JANUARY 3RD. Play it on in the background while you shower or cook or do your homework if you don’t actually watch it, or simply rewatch it a bunch of times (this season is great so trust me you’ll want to)

MAKE THEM UNDERSTAND THESE ARE THE SORT OF STORIES WE WANT TO SEE TOO, NOT JUST RIVERDALE AND STRANGER THINGS AND BIG CASH GRABS. 

ANNE WITH AN E  is a period drama that:

is written and produced by women

deals with topics such as feminism and human rights 

deals with topics such as Canadian residential schools, slavery and racism

has LGTBQ characters (and one of them is this amazing old lady who is literally the richest and coolest person there)

has many amazing, badass ladies of all ages

has male characters showing emotions and compassion and calls out toxic masculinity 

has healthy teen romance

is about teenagers that are played by ACTUAL teenagers

has amazing complex adult characters who also grow and develop

teaches the importance of love, family, friendship, education…

sends many important messages

doesn’t sexualize teenagers

makes you laugh, makes you smile, makes you cry, makes you… you know feel things

brings hope, joy and is just really heartwarming 

makes you want to be a better person

has a beautiful, breathtaking cinematography

has super-talented cast (young actors as well as the older ones)

and is just absolutely amazing tv series that deserves its full story to be told

PLEASE, HELP US SAVE IT. The vision for the show is 5 seasons, but Netflix and CBC decided to cancel it after season 3. Anne got the boy (and it’s beautiful) but her journey on which she achieves all her dreams (academic, career..) only begins and her story deserves to be told. Not to mention other amazing characters whose stories are nowhere near the end. 

Stream Anne With An E on Netflix, and make sure to stream season 3 that will be available on January 3! Spread this message and  fall in love with this outstanding show.  

(and if you’re really just not interested, could you at least stream few episodes on background. it would help us a lot)

First, I apologize for this shitty gifset and bunch of grammar mistakes I’m about to make. Second, I’m sure we all heard the news about cancellation by Netflix. What a surprise, another good show got canceled by Netflix. But this does not mean we should give up. If Brooklyn Nine Nine can be saved, Anne with an E can be saved as well. If One Day at a Time can be saved, so can this show. Insert here any shows that got canceled and was brought back another season. Anne With an E is a Canadian TV Show based on 1908 Novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery which is brought over by Netflix. Yes, it is another adaptation based on those books. But it is different. Very different. Even though Anne has struggled, went through many hardships in life but she continues to live through her life with so much imagination, light and positivity. She brought that to a little town called Avonlea and Green Gables. She found a family that loves her. She have friends. She continues to grow and inspired the people around her. All the characters you will see on show are complex and lovable. You will love watching all of these characters grow to be the best person they can be. The show tackles on feminism, racism, homophobia, sexism, sexual assault and many other topics that need to be discussed. The friendships and relationships you will see on the show are beautiful to watch. Not to mention, the visuals, cinematography, the landscapes are truly beautiful. This show was filmed in Canada. A little side note from me, if you’re a Bellarke shipper like me, this show will heal those wounds. Here’s how can you help:
