I realized that basically for nearly the entire spam of Elain's life, Lucien was living in the spring court and now I can't stop thinking about the idea that the reason she feels such connection with gardening was because he subconsciously send her images of the spring court, especially the manor's garden, like Rhysand had done with Feyre and the nigh sky.

I just love how Feyre has nothing to say about always being with a member of the inner circle, but she's a so mad at Tamlin when he insist she's always with guards. Like, I'd choose the guards a thousand times before the Inner Circle.

And she's mad about Tamlin locking her in the house when most women in their world stayed inside and no-one locked them there.

They were raised to stay inside, and look pretty and that doesn't mean they're weak, look at Beatriz from Castles in their bones, she doesn't fight, she doesn't use weapons, but she's smart and strong enough to allow herself the seem vulnerable in front of so many people who want her dead to save her own life, she's smart enough to trick a king to pardon her even if she supposedly broke his kingdom's most sacred law and he's not entirely sane.

Also, so many women in history, Catherine of Aragon, Isabela of Castile, Mary Tudor, Elizabeth II, Anne Neville, Elizabeth Woodville – they didn't fight with weapons, but protected their kingdom or family better then Feyre manged.

I think my biggest problem with SJM's books is that they teach young girls that if you're not tough, rude and you don't fight, you're week, which is so wrong. Words are weapons, silence sometimes hurts more than any blade.

Gwyn most likely still thinks about the hands that touched, grabbed and hurt her and I know for a fact that when Gwynriel fall in love and start exploring each other, that Gwyn will love the feeling of Azriel's hands on her because they make the horrible feeling of the hands that hurt her go away. These hands make her feel safe.

And for Elain- the day she got dipped into the cauldron and came out, everyone, including the hybern soldiers and king, saw her pratically naked. All eyes were on her and that is one of the things that probably troubles her til now. Now she gets no attention from the people that are suppose to love her and if they do, their eyes are only on her when danger is near. So, when Elain and Lucien fall in love, the only eyes she wants and gets full attention from are Lucien's eyes. The only eyes that are allowed to see her naked (After their first time).

Yess, Gwyn and Azriel are going to learn to love themselves and become more comfortable with touch(Az doesn’t like his scarred hands touching anyone)

Imho the idea of ‘cruelty free’ products or food shouldn’t mean that nothing died to create it, but rather that anything and anyone involved in the creation process hasn’t been exploited or harmed.

Leather is good actually. Veganism isn’t the end all be all to morality and consumption. The issue isn’t that a chicken died for those nuggets, but that while the chicken was alive, it’s life fucking sucked. Vegan chocolate means little if the cocoa that made it was gathered by child slave labor.

Factory farms, abuses of the people who pick the fruit and vegetables we eat, the focus profit and productivity over all else - that’s the fucking issue here. It’s capitalism folks.
