Jane Kano (’19)  is a muscle Angel. Jane was the youngest person to ever be recruited by MI6, the United Kingdom’s foreign intelligence service. She left MI6 after an informant was compromised in Turkey. Charlie recruited Jane, and she worked globally as one of the Townsend Agency’s most formidable recruits. Jane was especially close to Edgar Bosley, but struggled for awhile with teamwork, preferring to work independently. After initially butting-heads with fellow Angel, Sabina, Jane eventually realized that Sabina and Elena were just the family she needed.

Elena contacts the Townsend Agency, and meets with Edgar Bosley to provide evidence of Brock’s wrongdoing. Assassin Hodak ambushes Edgar and Elena, with Edgar paying the ultimate price to save the scientist. She is left for dead, and rescued by Jane and Sabina. The Angels take Elena to meet Rebekah Bosley. After spending time with Rebekah’s Angels, Elena helps solve the case and accepts an offer to join the Townsend Agency as an Angel. She successfully completes her training in California, gets her “wings”, and joins Sabina & Jane as a new team of Angels.

Eve French (’11) was 5 years old when her parents were killed in a civil war in El Salvador. They were aid workers, and left an orphaned Eve to survive alone. She was placed in St. Theresa’s Orphanage, where she met her best friend, Gloria Martinez. After a guerrilla group raided their orphanage, Gloria and Eve hid in the orphange’s chapel. The guerrillas’ leader Baharo found them, but Eve knocked Baharo out with an angel statue. They escaped and eventually made their way to Miami. The girls found shelter with Gloria’s uncle Oscar, an auto mechanic. They were raised as gear-heads, learning everything about cars. The duo were recruited into the Carol City Crew at 18 years old, beginning their careers as high-end car thieves. The girls got into a high-speed chase with the cops while driving a stolen Lamborghini, hit a cab, and killed the driver. Eve urged Gloria to run, so she took the fall for the accident. She was sentenced for manslaughter, and served four years at the Tallahassee Women’s Correctional Facility. Gloria went into the armed services, and found trouble of her own. She was rescued by Charlie Townsend, who offered her a career as an Angel. When Baharo showed up in Miami, Eve and Gloria were working on a plan to take him down. Gloria was killed in a car explosion before the two could end Baharo’s tyranny. Eve teamed up with the Angels to catch him and stop his child trafficking ring in Miami. Then, Charlie offered Eve a spot among the Angels, as Gloria’s replacement. She reluctantly accepted and quickly found a family with Charlie, Bosley, Abby, and Kate.

Abigail "Abby" Sampson  (’11) was raised on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Her family was very wealthy and she was the youngest of five children. Abby desperately wanted the attention of her father, who was an elite Wall Street player until he was discovered swindling lots and lots of money. Abby became a kleptomaniac and spent her time learning the finer things in life, such as safe-cracking and breaking & entering.  When Abby was caught raiding her brother's future mother-in-law's jewelry box at his rehearsal dinner, her family was embarrassed and livid, completely cutting her off financially and disowning her. Abby fell in with a dangerous crowd and was eventually apprehended robbing a jewelry store. Charlie saved her from that doomed path by inviting her to join the Angels. When her father was convicted of his actions, the family also disowned him, giving he and Abby something in common. He is imprisoned in Florida, and Abby reluctantly visited him to gain information on a case. She made a promise to visit him if his information was helpful, and it was. She regularly visits him, against her better judgement. Her father Victor has his own agenda regarding her career as an Angel, and a mysterious vendetta for Charlie. As an Angel, Abby's wit is refreshing, her humor acerbic, and her taste flawless. Abby definitely knows how to wear the hell out of garments, get in anywhere she isn't invited, and make you crack a smile whether you want to or not.

Kate Prince  (’11) was born in New Orleans, but moved to Miami with her mother and brothers after her father's death when she was 15. She went to Miami Southern University on a basketball scholarship. As soon as the graduated, she joined the Miami Police Academy. She graduated top of her class and excelled as a cop. She was one of the youngest detectives on the force, and fell in love with a fellow detective named Ray Goodson. The pair moved in together and were engaged to be married. Life became turbulent for Kate when she was recruited on the Fight Organized Crime Unit (FOCU). Kate's spirit was chipped away by long undercover assignments and corruption within her unit. She developed a serious drug problem and started taking kick-backs from the superior in her unit. Although she used the money to pay off her mother's debt, and help her siblings through school, Kate made some very bad decisions. When Kate had the opportunity to silence a reporter that was going to expose her unit's scandal, she couldn't bring herself to do it. She let the reporter leave and was busted in a sting operation. Ray dumped her, her family was ashamed, and Kate had seemingly lost everything. Charlie Townsend saved her from the repercussions of her dirty deeds and offered her a position among his Angels as a private detective. Kate slowly got her life together and became a great Angel. Her time as a cop really helped Kate and the Angels. She knows the criminal population of Miami like the back of her hand, can analyze a crime scene better than any cop, and proves herself to be a very resourceful ally.
Annette "Annie" Ngosi Ilonzeh was born in Grapevine, Texas on August 23, 1983, the oldest of five sisters. Dance lessons, soccer, track, and basketball filled her youth. She went to college on a basketball scholarship, and played until 2006. She decided to try her hand at acting, moved to Los Angeles, and started landing jobs. Her first notable role was on General Hospital as Maya Ward. When the chance to be cast as one of Charlie's Angels arose, she quickly started studying the films and episodes of the classic series. Annie was playing basketball when she got the call that she was cast as Kate Prince. Other notable appearances by Annie include the Melrose Place revival, Arrow, Empire, and Person of Interest.

Gloria Martinez (’11)  was mostly an off-screen Angel. The audience gets to see Gloria on the last mission leading up to her death. Gloria was orphaned during a civil war in El Salvador. She met her best friend, Eve, at St. Theresa's Orphanage. During a raid on the orphanage by a guerilla group, Gloria and Eve hid inside a chapel, but the girls were found by a member of the raiders, named Baharo. Eve knocked out Baharo with an Angel statue. As they saw other children their age being captured, they quickly ran away into the jungle. The duo made their way to Miami, and found shelter with Gloria's uncle, Oscar. They became gear heads, and both were skilled mechanics and racers. At 18, the girls were recruited by the Carol City Crew, as high-end car thieves. Gloria was in the car while Eve was driving a stolen Lamborghini, evading police. She hit a cab, and killed the driver. Eve told Gloria to run, and she took the fall for the accident alone. Eve was sent to prison for four years, so Gloria joined the armed services. Gloria was dishonorably discharged after she refused to kill a 14 year old that turned out to be a terrorist. Charlie saved Gloria from the repercussions by inviting her to become one of his private eyes. She accepted and found a family with fellow criminals turned Angels, Abby, Kate, & Bosley. When Gloria found out that Baharo was now in Miami, she began secretly working with Eve to bring him down. As we learned with Madison Lee, it's never good when an Angel keeps secrets from their partners. After finding a missing girl that was captured by Baharo, the Angels celebrated an unfinished victory (unbeknownst to them). Gloria is blown up when she gets in her car parked outside the agency. The Angels discover Eve and work with her to take down Baharo and his child-trafficking ring. They invite Eve to take Gloria's place as an Angel. Gloria was able to give Eve one last gift...a new family.

By age 24, John had amassed a $57 million fortune spread across eight bank accounts in five countries. Part of his fortune involved skimming one penny from everyone's taxes for a period of time. He owned a $10 million apartment in San Francisco, and homes in Tuscany and St. Barths. The IRS launched a large-scale investigation and he was chased by CIA agent Samantha Masters, whom he had an affair with. When John was busted, it was Charlie who made a deal for his release. If Bosley agreed to turn his life around, Charlie would provide him freedom.  John had a relationship with a young woman named Elizabeth Townsend, Charlie's daughter. Although her cause of death is unknown, Elizabeth is deceased, and Bosley often blames himself. Charlie tries to discourage him from doing so. Bosley worked with a partner during his hacking days named Oswald. He eventually discovered Oswald was a female, and was unable to apprehend her. Now Oswald is out there waiting for the day she can get her revenge. His skills include charming women with ease, a mastery of technology, and a strong athletic nature. James "Jimmy" Bosley (’03) was the brother of John Bosley that appeared in 2000's Charlie's Angels. After his brother's depature, Jimmy stepped in to fill the Bosley role at the Townsend Agency. He was very inexperienced at the job, and would often blow their covers, mix files up, and tremble in the face of danger. He was funny as hell though!
Bernie Mac, born Bernard Jeffrey McCullough on October 5, 1957, hails from south Chicago. After several normal jobs, Bernie tried his hand at stand-up comedy. This eventually led to him joining the ranks of "The Original Kings of Comedy", with friends Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, and Cedric the Entertainer. His first role was as a club doorman in '92s Mo' Money, and from there he became known for House Party 3, Friday, B.A.P’s, Booty Call, Ocean's 11-13, Bad Santa, Transformers, and three films released posthumously, Soul Men, Madagascar:Escape to Africa, and Old Dogs. Bernie Mac was a long-sufferer of sarcoidosis, an auto-immune disease, and his battle with the ailment led to his death on August 9, 2008.

John Bosley ('00) was much like his predecessor, he often played the comic relief to foil the serious nature of the Angel's vocation. Unlike his predecessor, he, along with the Angels, do not know what Charlie looks like. We know that John was adopted into the Bosley family, who reside in Compton, CA. His brother is Jimmy Bosley, who replaces him in Full Throttle.
William James "Bill" Murray was born September 21, 1950 in Wilmette, Illinois. He rocketed to fame on NBC's Saturday Night Live in 1977, replacing Chevy Chase. From there Murray has a long list of mega-hits including Caddyshack, Meatballs, Lost in Translation, Groundhog Day, Zombieland, Rushmore, and Ghostbusters.

Natalie Cook ('00-'03) was definitely a nerd in high school, with "Leia-buns" and braces in tow, which made her seemingly unaware of her incredible beauty. "Nat's" mother was a veterinarian, and her father wrote "The Cook Anthology of Science Fiction". Before becoming an Angel, Natlie's life involved winning the game-show Jeopardy, getting a Ph.D from M.I.T., and jobs including spokes-model for Lincoln-Mercury, research scientist, and U.S. Navy test pilot. She has a penchant for anything that goes fast. Jets, cars, surfboards...she can handle it. Natalie has champagne hair to match her bubbly personality, and as a party favor, she can open a bottle of bubbly using a sword.
Cameron Michelle Diaz was born on August 30, 1972 in San Diego, California. Cameron attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School, with classmate Snoop Dogg. At 16, she was signed with Elite Model Management, began globetrotting, and was on the cover of Seventeen at age 17. Cameron audition for her first movie role at 21, for The Mask starring Jim Carrey. She got the part with no education in acting, and immediately began acting classes. By 2003, she was the highest paid actress in Hollywood. Memorable roles of Cameron's include The Sweetest Thing, My Best Friend's Wedding, A Life Less Ordinary, There's Something About Mary, Gangs of New York, Being John Malkovich, Vanilla Sky, Shrek, The Counselor, and Bad Teacher. Cameron also produced and starred in a reality series for MTV called Trippin', aimed at showing the fragile nature of the environment.

Alexandra "Alex" Munday ('00-'03) was an Angel that really had it all. Alex's parents were both professors at Harvard, and their finances afforded Alex a well-rounded education. Alex went from gymnastics and chess competitions to spending her teenage years abroad learning levitation from a Tibetan master, dancing with the Stuttgart Ballet, and bomb-diffusing from a Parisian spy. She was also a pioneer in the development of laptop computers. If that doesn't impress you, she was also an on-call consultant for NASA, and a skilled neurosurgeon. The one area Alex can't seem to dominate is the kitchen. She wants very badly to be the next Martha Stewart, but instead she ends up with "Chinese Fighting Muffins".
Lucy Alexis Liu was born December 2, 1968 in Queens, New York. She was raised to study hard and work hard, which worked in her favor. Lucy's first big role was as the devastatingly funny Ling Woo on Ally McBeal, followed by Kill Bill, Cypher, Chicago, 3 Needles, Kung Fu Panda, Dirty Sexy Money, Elementary, and the Broadway play God of Carnage.

Dylan Sanders ('00-'03) Born Helen Zaas, Dylan never knew her father, and her mother died when she was 5 years old. She grew up on the street, and dated a member of the O'Grady clan, until she witnessed him murder someone. When she testified against him, she was placed in the Witness Protection Program, and changed her name to Dylan Sanders. She later joined the a police academy, but decided it was best to leave after punching her superior. Other jobs held by Dylan before joining the Townsend Agency include being a professional wrestler named "Lady Insane", rodeo entertainer, bartender, yoga instructor, and driver of monster trucks. Dylan finally found her family when Charlie offered her a place among the Angels. She looks up to Charlie as a father she never had, and would do anything to protect her loved ones. The rebellious Pisces tries to find good in everyone, which often leads to love in all the wrong places. But when crossed, Dylan is an incredible force to be reckoned with.
Drew Blyth Barrymore was born on February 22, 1975 into a royal family of Hollywood. In fact, Drew's grandfather is John Barrymore, and the family serves as the inspiration for the Broadway production, "The Royal Family". Her first job was a dog food commercial at 11 months old. Drew grew up fast, and attending Hollywood parties at the age of 9 isn't a good thing. She was smoking by 9, toking by 12, and coking by 13. After a couple stints in rehab, a failed suicide attempt, a three month stay with singer David Crosby, and a legal emancipation from her mother, Drew was headed onward and upward. She started getting adult roles (some in her early teens) such as Poison Ivy with Cheryl Ladd. Other great films starring Drew include E.T., Firestarter, Ever After, Mad Love, The Wedding Singer, Never Been Kissed, 50 First Dates, and Grey Gardens. In '95, Drew formed Flower Film Productions with friend Nancy Juvonen. Drew was a fan of the original Charlie's Angels series, stating her favorite episode as "Angel On Wheels", and she quickly acquired the movie rights after Flower Films was established. Whip It, a film about roller derby, marked Drew's feature film directorial debut...coincidence?  After two Charlie's Angels films, she reportedly pitched a new Charlie's Angels series several times, and finally the new series aired on September 22, 2011. That date marked the 35 year anniversary of the first episode of the original series.
Drew is the guardian angel of Angel fans, and I personally couldn't begin to thank her enough for reviving my favorite franchise. After two fresh takes on the premise and 11+ hours of entertainment, she has proven that she truly is a kick-ass Angel!

Madison Lee was an Angel off-screen originally. Her signature weapons of choice were two golden Magnum pistols. She was multilingual, invented the "molar mic", and won a Nobel Prize for her research on flying mammals. While she was an Angel, the team was working on the infamous "Carmine De Soto case", and Madison broke protocol and went off on her own. She put her fellow Angels in danger, as well as herself, and ended up getting three bullets in the chest. Presuming Madison dead, the other Angels left her. Instead of notifying the agency of her recovery, she chose to work independently. Madison returned in 2003 to seek revenge against Charlie and his current Angels, which ended with Madison presumably being killed (again) by Nat, Alex, & Dylan. *The original choice for the role of Madison was Courtney Love, but an accident on the set of "Trapped" led her to drop out.
Demi Gene Guynes Moore was born on November 11, 1962 in Roswell, New Mexico. Her biological father left her mother before she as born, her mother and stepfather battled alcoholism and each other, they moved a total of 40 times while Demi was growing up, and her stepfather committed suicide when she was 18. Demi got her start on General Hospital in 1982, and is well known for the films Ghost, G.I. Jane, Striptease, Indecent Proposal, A Few Good Men, and The Scarlet Letter. She also had her directorial debut on the film Streak in 2008.

Charles "Charlie" Townsend ('76-'03,’11,’19) is a man of mystery, wealth, and an odd mix of feminist & chauvinist ideals. There are few known details of Charlie's past. We do know that he was once married, and fathered a daughter named Elizabeth (deceased). Charlie served in an Army Intelligence Unit, and in the OSS during World War II. He also chose a career in criminal justice upon his return to civilian life. After years of police work, and an extensive list of enemies acquired, Charlie decided to open a private detective agency. His method of managing this agency was to employee three female operatives to solve the cases provided by their clients.  He only allowed his confidant Bosley to see him, otherwise he communicated with his associates via phone/speakerphone. Charlie calls his operatives Angels. The reasoning for his ambiguous nature later in life was fueled by a long list of enemies eager to seek revenge.  The less his associates know of his life, the better. He instead wants to run the agency from behind the scenes, provide financing, and keep an eye on his Angels from afar. The Townsend Agency eventually becomes a global company, opening multiple offices for his Angels' use, including Hawaii, Paris, Miami, Berlin, London, Sao Paulo, and of course, the city of Angels itself, Los Angeles. There are now a network of teams around the world. Charlie also has other acquisitions that are female-led, including a trucking company. This interest in representing women in traditionally male roles greatly contrasts his group sessions in the hot tub with all-female guests. Maybe Charlie simply loves women, and wants them to do everything, including him, a minimum of 100 times per week. In a twist that has been begging for realization, Charlie is now a female in the 2019 film. She uses a voice modulator to communicate with the Angels in the same familiar voice fans are accustomed to. Her real identity is unknown (hopefully an original Angel). Perhaps we will see her in a hot tub full of men in the future.
John Forsythe (Jacob Lincoln Freund) was born January 29, 1918 in Penns Grove, New Jersey. His father was a Wall Street businessman. He began acting, served in World War II, and resumed acting upon his return. He landed several television shows, and did voice-work for the likes of Michelob beer commercials. This lead to a call from Aaron Spelling, who was looking for a replacement for a dreadfully-drunk Gig Young to voice Charlie Townsend. John became one of the highest paid actors in television at the time, and he did an episode's worth of lines in minutes! His relationship with Spelling continued on Dynasty were he starred (and appeared) as patriarch Blake Carrington. He also returned to voice Charlie Townsend in both Charlie's Angels films in the early 2000s. John Forsythe passed away due to complications of pneumonia on April 1, 2010. He was an extremely classy man that will be missed for many years to come.
Victor Joseph Garber was born March 16, 1949 in London, Ontario. Victor began acting at the age of 9, and formed a folk band called The Sugar Shoppe, which landed him on the Canadian charts, and afforded him the opportunity to appear on both The Ed Sullivan Show and The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. After several films, television roles, Broadway performances, and three Emmy nominations for his work in Alias, Victor was chosen to replace Robert Wagner (who dropped out) as the voice in the box, Charlie in 2011's Charlie's Angels. Victor is the only person other than the late-great John Forsythe to voice Charlie Townsend.
Robert Bruce Clotworthy was born October 24, 1955 in Los Angeles, California. Robert’s father was a radio commercial producer, and while accompanying him to recording sessions, Robert became inspired from an early age by the talents of Mel Blanc, Jerry Stiller, Anne Meara, etc. This led Robert to a successful career in voice acting. He has appeared in American Sniper, One Hour Photo, Murphy Brown, Three’s Company, among many others, and lends his voice to an extensive list of video games, television shows, and films.
