Feel like I should mention the silly long furby species guide I made a while back-

can we start something like clown husbandry except with furbies where there’s lore and stuff? if furblr approves of this pitch i have some species ideas:

-i imagine that furby itself is a species, with several breeds that i’ve included below:

-of course, there’s the regular non-longified furby species, furby “classic”, furby baby, furby buddies, mcdonald’s furbies, furby boom/2012, connect, furbling, etc. as well as the (painless and cruelty-free) genetically modified furbies, listed below:

-furby barbie, which i can’t seem to find the origin of, is a furby buddy with barbie appendages with may include arms, legs or more.

-

-then the long furbies, and the breeds of those (i’m finding it difficult to find the first people to come up with the ideas of the lf breeds other than the original. if anyone knows of the sources please let me know):

-long furby, the most common long furby breed. their general look is furbyfuzz’s first long furby (with color variations, of course).

-thursby, the second most populating breed within the furby species, applies to any long furby with one fur color/gradient/etc on their backs, and another 1 or 2 colors on their bellies and backs. created by strange aeons.

-furbipede, another common breed. the first image i can find of this breed was created by boots_with_the_furb.

-spirby, a breed that seems to be the byproduct of long furbies and furbipedes. they have 14 (?) spider-like legs. i’m having trouble finding the creator of these.

-wormby, created by fubbygunk. long, sleek, worm-like appearance with no other limbs or appendages.

-noodby, created by Buttered_Noodles, is a breed likely descending from thursby. their main differentiational feature compared to thursby are their hands of varying shapes, sizes, colors and amounts.

A reminder that only five of these special snowballs exist!

According to experts on bonhams.com (which is where the auction is being held), the furby comes from the estate of the jeweler himself, Sidney Mobell* (will be updating after speaking with the sale coordinators). The jewelry is in overall good condition and comes with a case

This is the first time a bejeweled furby has been on sale in a VERY long time! Truly a sight to behold!

As of right now, the current bid is $1,200 with a end date of June 20th

So exciting!!!!!!

Bejeweled Furby - update

So I just reached out to the auction house before my previous post, asking for more relevant information and photos, this was the email o received:

“Please find your requested photographs below. The Tiara uses a brooch attachment.

We don’t have any indicators on which edition the furby is, but we know that this furby was owned by the owner”

As far as I know these photos haven’t been shared publicly before.

WIP furby nesting dolls!! This is before they went in the kiln. They’re a 2005, 1998, and buddy, carefully sculpted so the smaller ones fit in the bigger ones. The lil guy got too dry for me to continue in ceramic clay, so I’m cheating a bit and using air dry and oven bake clay to finish the details. Within the smallest furb there shall be a worm on a string, which of course is the larval state of furbies.

So, I have this “Clawberta” game app and tonight we grabbed the best toy ever! A Furby! Well, they call them “Flurby” but that does not change what they are. Pure awesomeness…yay!

spent almost every minute of rare free time I had today giving Lychee a fresh new look!! I’ve been wanting to make a bootleg baby version of the jester furby for a while, but now that I’ve got a real jester furb coming in the mail I decided to make a baby clown instead! her new name is Kazoo (or maybe Noodle…Kazoodle?!) (◡‿◡✿)

here’s a quick before and after. she’s not even close to done yet though! still have to make her a lil clown outfit (I’m thinkin’ clown shoes too)! stay tuneeeed. it feels so good to customize a furb again my creative outlets have been so sparse lately <3

He came in a lot of three, all of who were supperrr gross when they got here. After a good bath and a good cleaning of his insides, he's all clean and healthy. Sadly he does have MSA, but I don't mind.
