it baffles me how other tme people simply refuse to acknowledge their own transmisogyny.

the moment a trans woman brings up how she's treated in a community that's supposed to be there for her, they turn on her... and suddenly, they're all about "actually, transmisogyny affects everyone..." or they start making up ideas of "transmisandry."

it's so difficult for these tmes to allow the conversation to focus on someone else. it's not even fucking hard, you don't even have to post, you can just silently reblog things ... but no, the conversation can't veer away from "all trans people" onto the specific experiences of tmas for a moment. they never just LISTEN.

the treatment trans women receive in any queer community is incredibly vicious and incredibly disgusting, and tmes who blabber about "transmisandry" whenever a tma person speaks up make it so much fucking worse and they don't even seem to realize they're proving their own point?

trans women aren't allowed to speak up, aren't allowed to complain about the treatment they receive, aren't allowed to have words to describe what they face. they aren't allowed to be feminists or discuss the intersection of misogyny and transphobia they experience, and they're especially not allowed to talk about how other trans people perpetuate it. they're not allowed to take up space.

and when this is criticized tmes go fucking wild... suddenly they're reaching to their gender assignments and pushing themselves into the roles of weak afab that cruel transfems are attacking. trans women are masculinized in order to push the blame of the aggressor onto them. trans women who speak up are called archaic slurs, "terf-y," gatekeepy, misandrists, transphobes. tmes are so fucking appalled at any criticism irt how they behave towards tmas that suddenly the whole argument instantly turns into how "transfems are mean" no matter how it starts!

there's just no sense that most tmes on the internet even recognize the transmisogyny they put tma people through, and tbh it is sickening. all discussions are about "all trans people." they have to be included in everything. trans women are forced from their own spaces and discussions to make room for tmes who aren't the focus of the conversation but desperately want to be. most tmes don't want to focus on their transmisogyny for even a second.

obviously, it's not even just community discussion, it's all interpersonal treatment... tmes wonder why they don't have many transfem friends, but they're so actively hostile to ANYONE who isn't a good quiet transfem who doesn't speak up ever or ever show any non "typical" behavior that it's no fucking wonder most transfems only want to interact with each other, the rest of the community is horrendously and actively hostile to them! from callout posts to exclusion to any vast variety of ways to subordinate transfems and shut down their voices!

i think it's really telling in any talk of "transmisandry" tbh. there's rarely any discussion of substance, it just turns into complaining about mean words transfems use to describe them and how that makes them sadddd :( while you look at discussion of transmisogyny and it's all very real and horrific abuse transfems face at the hands of other queer people and society as a whole and the disparity is so extreme...

"here's more of the users that associate with this mutual circle" = "here's more transfems i want you to socially murder i just can't figure out a good reason to include them"

i was talkin with some europeans about their healthcare and i realized like, even if i had the means to immigrate, i most likely would not be allowed to in most countries as a single person because I am disabled. This is another major aspect of ableism I don't see talked about often, the way immigration systems across the globe are designed to keep disabled people (who would be 'burdens' on the welfare system) out.

the ideal and over emphasis of pale skinny heroin chic femininity (and also that particular brand of enbyism) is a product of racist&facist misogyny.

this is just my opinion, but IF you unable to or struggle to find beauty in fat people, or black people, or women with penises, and more specifically my point: people outside colonistic ideals, its probably because you have been conditioned, all the way down to your instincts, to at very least see these people as ugly, and at worst, to not even see these people as people.. no one will really fault you for having particular tastes, but if you do feel that way about sex and beauty, i personally think its pretty cringe and your "suburban schema" of people and the world fucking sucks. i dont have an elegant solution to your "problem", figure it out, stop being a conformist, stop seeing the world how racists & facists want you to see it, look outside of your idyllic walled garden, stop seeing sex as a commodity and people as objects
