An Albatross
it's a, a sordid story
ever more to it,
ever forever, more
perverse words traverse
mark and scar,
an open but broken heart
takes and takes
before it ultimately breaks
more and more
falls to the floor
shatters into tatters
glass shards of the front door
to the house and all that matters
former glory of our story
enough love for both of us
who cared and shared
scared or not
we dazzled with
gave it our best shot

all green lights, no hard stop

going to take you
on a train to new york city
today's your birthday

feel spectacular and pretty
we can walk the city's streets
stroll along the high-line
circle manhattan island
sailing upon the circle line
hop onto a helicopter ride
see skyscrapers passing by
or simply sip on zippy drinks
way up in the sky on a rooftop
witness a city that never stops
fly it until our energy drops
