shared gawain before, so here's a couple! i think bentley was somewhere around 12kt, but i bought her during a dom push so she was closer to fodder prices lol. i don't remember how much teddy was but he was def under 10g. either way they now both have loving families and i'm very glad i found them before they became fodder!
almost ten years ago, when the site was young and imperials were still much more highly valued than any other breeds, a 15-yr old milo stumbled across a little blue imp for a measly 7 (or so) gems, right around the fodder floor. gawain my beloved
🍇a dragon you like based on personality:
i like to think most of my guys are likeable, so i picked one i'd want to hang out with. i haven't introduced him at all either, so. meet grim! that probably isn't his original name- he's a churchyard grim at a little temple much, much older than the clan. he looks spooky, but he's a protector, very warm and welcoming. he doesn't get a lot of visitors as most folks don't know he's there, but he tells very good stories and gives decent advice, if a little outdated, given his age. he's the last remnant of those whoever lived here before.
btw im sorry if i came off as rude earlier. ive had.. a rough few days, i rely more than i should on fr as a self soother n fixate too much on little things when im already upset
my lil guys & the way i'm choosing to interpret them
antlers would not be conducive to a subterranean lifestyle, so i'm interpreting them as branched antennae/sensory organs. dusthides with the antlers gene are often nestkeepers- the thicker fur helps to keep eggs and young hatchlings warm in the cool underground, while the 'antlers' allow them to detect small changes indicating dangers or distressed hatchlings.
their bodies are closer to armor-plated badgers or weasels (depending on the individual) than armadillos, but armadillo-like ears help them detect the slightest sound or vibration from the surface above. some individuals have larger or smaller dewclaws, some even appearing to have only the large digging claws. they use these claws for breaking into termite mounds and anthills.
their wings are strong, but too small and their bodies too dense to fly- their wings are more often used to scrape dirt from the sides of tunnels. their tails are flat and somewhat curved, used to scoop out piles or dirt or pack it tightly to strengthen walls or smooth out floors.
i would love if these guys were buggy. centipede or isopod vibes. but i Really want a chunky armadillo guy. with big diggy claws. armor plated moles with little armadillo ears
The idea of turning dragons into ponies is honestly so fun, would you be mad if someone else started doing it just for themselves not to sell or anything. It just seems fun for a challenge
of course not! i'm not the first person to draw [x] as a pony and i won't be the last. go wild my friend
hiii i made a thread on fr for these dragon -> pony redesigns! i've raised the minimum offer to 500g, limited how many i take on at once, and made up an order form to help them go a little smoother.
i'm only like,, half sure i'm using the built in pinglist right so. idk. for the moment i'm only open to folks who asked for a ping/ordered while i was closed, once they're through i'll open properly!
i will be slower getting these done for a bit, i have. 4 different art shows in 3 weeks. rip
mlp character design adopts! taking frc for them, i'm willing to haggle on their listed prices. i also take items & treasure at 1:1000. you'll get the fullsize images after purchase. dm me here to claim!
