Sorry for being such a slow writer, it's because I [remembers that self-deprecating jokes are harmful to my mental health and make everyone else uncomfortable] was attacked by dark spirits and washed up on the shore of a mysterious island with no recollection of who I was

I know the exact vibe of what I'd want to watch right now and do not have a film to match it. It's somewhere between Morgiana (1972) most Guy Maddin films, Panna a Netavoir and the video game Rusty Lake: Roots.

A Field Guide to Evil looks too shlocky to be really compelling, which is a real shame - I'd actually love to see the film I hoped it'd be. Origional folktales from other countries done as gothic horror! Hell yes!
That must be around though... Does anyone have any reccomendations?

If a post doesn't apply to you it means the person who made it is excluding you on purpose. If someone makes a broad generalization in a tumblr post it means they know about your individual experiences and they're ignoring you deliberately because they hate you and want to make you mad. So if you see a post that doesn't factor in your personal perspective you should make sure to leave a comment of at least three paragraphs to make sure the op knows how deeply they have hurt you and how serious the matter truly is

Sometimes it's useful to look at your dialogue and ask yourself, "would a real human being talk like that?" But it's also good to ask the follow-up questions of "would the way a real human being talks sound good here" and "does this character actually talk like a real human being or are they weird about it."
