It’s the day before Christmas or Christmas eve.
Today is a perfect time to nestle into your cozy home with family or a loved one and celebrate both the hard times over come and the good times about to approach.
Our community member Carly Thompson recently wrote about the things that get her in the mood for the holidays in a post titled “20 Wonderful things that get me Christmas Ready.” In a super festive read, she writes that:
1.Like a moth to a flame I get so attracted to pretty lights, so naturally I love seeing pretty lights in house windows and shopping centres, it gives off a whole cosy feel.
2. The cold weather gives you a perfect excuse to stay indoors on an evening, snuggling down under a blanket watching comfort TV with snacks!
3.I love shopping in the lead up to Christmas, the atmosphere is just magical if you totally ignore the stressed expression on everyone’s faces, that is!
4. Mulled wine, and all of the delicious flavours available!
5.Nobody seems to care what they look like when dressing in Christmas attire, the sillier the jumper the better you look. And the truth is you don’t look silly in Christmas gear either. You actually look silly if you go out not in Christmas clothing.

We are so close to the end of our Holiday Countdown! Can you believe it? How are you getting ready for an extraordinary Christmas this year?
One of our community members, Natalie Ducey uploaded a lovely poem she wrote for the Holidays. She notes how: “Sending Christmas cards is one of my favourite things about Christmas. These little gestures of love and well wishes connect us across the miles. A tangible offering of hope and joy. Last year, I decided to create and send our Christmas greetings via email to connect with more family and friends. The tradition continues.”

Women communities are important. There is a lot of misogyny, harassment, sexism, and competition happening around us. Not only society but also media shaped many women in a way that it becomes natural to compete: for looks, for attention, for men.
Viral social media platforms did not make it better. Their algorithms prioritize some women over others (assuming, this does not need an explanation). If we, as women, will not support each other, if we will not lift each other up, no one will do it for us. 🤍
We hope you enjoyed our webinar last Thursday and we still have so much in store for you! We are going to look closely into this topic, hoping to inspire, empower, and a tiny bit educate each other.
