This is a great question!! It all started when I made an art of Dabi holding a cage with flowers. His eyes were closed in this art, but the turquoise color of his iris is so pretty that I decided to draw this separately.
After that, I didn't have time to do more complex works anymore. So, I decided to take a close-up of Toga's eye, just to distract myself a little. Then I realized that if I made Shigaraki's eye too, I could have my favorite trio from the manga put together in an art!! LIKE- 😳
That's how I started doing this series!! I came to realize that drawing eyes is a quick way to study colors and make me think about how to transform a striking feature faithfully from the original work to a realistic vision! 😊
It's a fun and relaxing exercise. Also, in times of stress with my work, it reminds me why I enjoy making art! ❤️
